  1. I eat the corn bursts dry when I want a sweet snack. I don't like them with milk on them, so I drink the milk in a cup, and eat the cereal with my fingers!
  2. I'm glad you have an answer! Welcome to the board, post often!
  3. I prefer Sonic's banana splits and sundaes, and I am glad that I can keep eating them! I'm sure they're glad, too, since I will be spending money there!
  4. Every place I go uses packets to avoid contamination with anything else. The salt shakers that are used by the cooks didn't have anything else in them because they used up the salt long before moisture was able to set in. The only place that did have something with the salt had mixed in pepper.
  5. The bread didn't taste as good? Is it possible that the longer we go without it, the more we lose our taste for it? I have heard my dad say that is what happened to him with cigarettes. If that is so, how long will it take before I no longer crave Oreos?
  6. Does this mean the ice cream at Sonic will be safe? I mean for banana splits and regular shakes?
  7. I use lots of it, so I buy Great Value brand at Wal Mart. I wish it came in bigger packages than just one pound!
  8. Those look fine as far as gluten is concerned. Kaiti, let us know what they tell you this time around!
  9. So far, Malt-O-Meal corn bursts are safe. We have to keep checking the labels, as there is talk of changing the recipes.

    ARCHIVED How Do I

Please just let us know who you are when you do change it! I love good surprises!
  11. List the ingredients for us, and we will tell you what we think!
  12. I can't have wheat at all. It is a grass, and I react badly to grasses, including rice. Instead of spending all that money trying to grow a gluten-free wheat, why don't they just put it into harvesting oats by hand, and avoiding contamination of them, so that celiacs that can tolerate oats can have them? I do miss bread, but not bad enough to pay as much...
  13. That's a "raspberry" to cpu problems! Look at it as eyes (8), nose (-), and tongue (pppp)!
  14. I don't think the ELISA tests show celiac. If your doctor is willing to write a diagnosis of celiac based on dietary results, I don't see a problem. At the very least, your son is allergic to gluten, which means the exact same thing as being celiac: no gluten, whatsoever. I don't understand why he can't go gluten-free now? Allergists do not do celiac...
  15. AAAHHH!!! 8-pppppp!!! What a rip! Did you by any chance save it to notepad or wordpad? It gets to be a lot of work, retyping!
  16. The very first post on that thread lists the questions with no answers. Do your copy and paste from that thread.
  17. Monica, when you do, please let me know. I would love to buy some and have my morning bowl of oatmeal agin!
  18. Then I guess my flours are fairly safe in their non-see through sealed canisters in a dark, cool cupboard for just a couple of months! Thanks for the info!
  19. It's in the gab/chat room. It is like a poll, with lots of questions about ourselves. You can skip any that you are not comfortable with answering. We are glad you found us, too!
  20. My friends are divided. Some say that I am doing wonderful, and encourage and support me, another one asks me why I toture myself by not eating breads and limiting portions. My family supports me all the way. They like the thought of a healthier me! How is your support network?
  21. >packing bags for trip to Karen's< I baked a gluten-free devil's food cake for my son's 17th birthday last Tuesday. It was still warm from the oven when the kids got home from school. I didn't get a chance to frost it before they had wiped out half of the cake! MmMm, chocolate!
  22. One piece of bread a month?!? And how much will we be expected to pay for the pill so we can eat that much bread? A whole lot more than it's worth, IMO!!!
  23. Can you have dairy? Ice cream. Frozen fruit put into the blender with some sugar (or sweetener of your choice). Pudding. Jello. Baby food.
  24. I think I would give Dear Brother and his Bridezilla a card, say congratulations, and plan something else to do in the States for that week! I have to admit, it sounds like something my SIL would do. And my brother would let her do it!
