  1. I got a whole mess of test and report emails! My cpu was down for the week, and when I came back on, my email was overflowing with reports! Maybe I was getting everyone else's!
  2. Chocolate is my over-indulgence. I can have it, so I do. It does not require cooking, I can get it at any convenience store. Now to get it off my hips!
  3. I guess no more syrup for me. I'll just stick with my homemade blackberry jam and honey. Maybe someday I will get some real maple syrup, but until then, I don't think so!
  4. I've only heard of it used to tell the gender of an unborn baby. A friend tried it on me when I was pregnant the first time, told me it would be a boy, but I had a girl. I wouldn't trust such superstition. Michelle, I use the test you are describing, but not with a closed bottle of pills. I use the herbs in an open container, I have to be able to smell...
  5. If he is only running the antibodies, being gluten-free could very easily mess up the results. If he is running the gene panel, then it doesn't matter how you are eating. If eating the gluten does not make you extremely ill, then I suggest you eat it. If it does make you ill, don't do that to yourself. You are an adult, you do not need a doctor's note...
  6. I agree with what Tiffany said.
  7. When I get glutened, I get so depressed, I start thinking about suicide. No medicine can stop that, I have to work through it and work harder not to get glutened again. I also am perimenopausal, and my hormone fluctuations cause severe depression. I am supposed to be on meds for that, but $73 a month with no insurance is $71 more than I can afford, so...
  8. I am at 1 right now. I had been drinking dandelion root infusion to help my liver, and I quit drinking it for a week to see if it really helped, or if I just thought it did. Now, my liver is inflamed again, nothing is moving through, and I hurt like hhhmmm. It will take a week back on the infusion to feel better.
  9. I love my whole foods store, but mine does not have a bakery section nor does it have an entire aisle of glutenfree foods. I don't eat any bread at this point, nor cereal. I do have some of the Malt-O-Meal corn bursts left, but I only eat those when I want something sweet. I find it easier, tastier, and healthier to eat the dinner's leftovers for breakfast...
  10. Thank you! I found it and voted on it!
  11. I use Mrs Leeper's corn pasta (yummy!) and Bob's Red Mill for most of my flours.
  12. What a bummer! A lot of information is shared in the replies to a poll! I chose "other", since I use Mrs. Leeper's and Bob's Red Mill, and neither of them were listed.
  13. If they are doing a cat scan to look at your spleen, then that is what they are doing. Do not panic, it is common for cat scans to be done when there is abdominal pain. I had an abdominal cat scan last summer, and it did show that my spleen was enlarged. One of the many tests done last summer also showed that I had recently passed a gallstone. There are...
  14. OK, my question: I voted in the "what brand do you use" poll, and wanted to post a reply, but was not able. Instead of the reply button, there was a button that said the poll was closed. I like the replies to the polls, the explanations are very interesting. Why couldn't I do that with this one?
  15. I don't know about your first question, but I can answer your second! The answer is "no". It will not hurt you at all to completely do without processed sugar. Your body will utilize the sugars that are naturally in other foods, and will probably be healthier for it. Sugar is a form of energy, just like carbs. Your body will convert the carbs into energy...
  16. If you accept the diagnosis your body is giving you, you don't need a doctor's. I am glad you are feeling so much better!
  17. Thanks for the link. I guess it's a good thing I decided at the last minute not to have a sundae there last weekend!
  18. 16 months is very young for the bloodwork to come back positive. False negatives are very common at that age! Which tests were run?
  19. Country Rich brand chocolate at Wal Mart is glutenfree. It has a rich, delicious chocolate flavor!
  20. Someone will have to teach me how to post a link. I know it is supposed to be easy, once I learn how I will wonder why I didn't figure it out to begin with!
  21. No, I use the soap in public restrooms. I'm more afraid of what diseases I might pick up than I am of the soap! I just rinse very well with the water. I also don't put anything I touch in my mouth until I am home and can wash with my own soap. After having daycare in my home for 6 years, I've learned not to put things in my mouth, and that soap is not...

    ARCHIVED Eggs

My egg issue is migraines! Hmmhmmhmm! Just a teeny-tiny bit that is in a tsp of Miracle Whip is all it takes to set me off. No eggs for me, I do not like being sick! I also can't have poultry meat, for the same reason.
  23. At my local Wendie's, I order a burger with no bun. I then stand there and watch it prepared. They don't toast buns on the grill, and they always get out a new container. Since I am able to see it prepared, I feel safe with it. I don't eat the chili, someone might have tried to thin it with water, then added flour 'cause they got it too thin! But no...
  24. There have been many times that I have wanted to merge a new topic with an older, existing one, but I haven't figured out how to do that. This is a great idea, celiac3270. The only problem I see with it is the same as what we have now: new posters are not reading the existing threads. They just jump in with their questions, instead of reading what...
  25. Regular Log Cabin has gluten?!? >thunk!< That explains why I have been having such trouble for the last month, since that is the only syrup I use on my Sunday morning pancakes! WWWAAAHHH!!!
