  1. hi I just wanted to share something that its new for me. We bought a package of MASECA Flour in the supermarket and its gluten free. Is made most of corn flour and its says Gluten free on the packagage. I guess its originall from mexico, and since here there its a lot of mexican population , we can find this flour in any supermarket. Anyway...

  3. thats whay I love grocery shoping in Walmart , their brand products, GV, says GLUTEN FREE in BIG LETTERS@!! (the one that they are, of course!) Even with all the controversy whit wallmart, Im glad that some companies have the guts to Writte it down on the package, not like Kraft or conangra food, that made my life really so not complicated in the beggining...
  4. hi! maybe somebody can help me whit this one, I may sound too paranoic, but what if you are in the playgroun and the oter child start playing with a cookie on his hand, and then your child (who has celiac disease) goes and touch THAT swing after!! or if you go to a Large swimming pool and the kid who just finish his HOt dog, also start swimming, of course...
  5. hi just want to share with you that we went to buca di beppo for dinner with my son. I reserch on line an on this site, and I couldnt find nothing about gluten free, so I pack a cooler with gluten-free food and we went.. We asked for "the kitchen table" so it was really easy to talk with the chef and check evrything also. We talk with the chef, who asked...
  6. I totally agree and also I would like to ask evrebody to keep calling to the companies like kraft, that want to "teach you" how to read lebels, but not will compromise on writting GLutten Free on their packages!! lets all work together!! Abi
  7. -kozy shack Snacks (rice pudding, pudding , tspioca pudding) are gluten free and you can find them in the regular supermarkets. Orsville rice cracers (caramel or cheddar flevor!) also regular stores. -raisings(check with the companies) doritos the blue ones. Abigail

  9. yeah!! I agree disney rocks!!!!! And they even have Gluten free choices in the inexpensive restaurants too!! ex:Wherever they offer pizza or hamburguer you can ask it gluten free and for the same price!! how cool is to pay regular prices for once???!!! LOL Abi

  11. yes, this place is in Buenos Aires. Near "Primera Junta", (she can go there by subway or many buses) and there is lot of choices on that place (dietetica (diet place) in rojas 12). Im telling you, I even carry lot of things in my luggage when I came back (like cake mixes, bread and pizza mixes, cookies, cereal bars, etc) and the prices are also great! ...

  13. you always can use Walmart, their Great value Brand its almost always well labeled as GLUTEN FREE, when its gluten free, Also send a email to your regular supermarkets asking them a list of their own gluten free product. (I asked one from publix, and albertsons) I you find out that there is lot of REGULAR things that you can buy at REGULAR prices!! good...
  14. Sorry I cant help you too much, but dont give her corn pops, if you want cereals try Cocoa pebbles, or Dora, or mickey cereals. If you want to start easy for me Walmart worked since a lot of their Great value Brand say when they are gluten free on the label.   15. hi, I want to share with you that we went to uno restaurant and my son got glutened the first time . (we asked for the food that they post in their site to be gluten free) the second time he did ok, but the waitress and the manager werent not friendly at all and they have long faces when I ask them to take all the extra precaution for the food to be gluten...
  16. Hi, I just want to share with you some information... Last week we went to Busch gardens in Tampa, florida. I was expecting somthing real "celiac friendly" like in Disney, since this one is a huge theme park also, but It was very different... First we carry our own cooler . they give you big flyers that say to dont bring food to the park, I was ready...

Im very frugal and I DONT SPENT MUCH MONEY ON THIS SPECIAL DIET!!! I write them that im a regular consumer of their products or supermarket (even if im not), and i,ve just found out that my son its celiac (true) and ask them if they have any list of gluten free products.   20. ok, ok , I know we are lucky, because we live close to orlando a we can go often!!!!!!!!!! and FeedIndy, you are right they do have in that main street that bakery that sells the "It's OK" brand of Brownies and one like rice crispies cake that are gluten free ($2.50 each).   24. we stop givin to our son soy milk in the mornings and he is doing much better since then. They were only 2 days but we thing we ll keep it like that. abi
