  1. Hi! Thank you for the response! I was prediabetic for years but guess I’ve finally passed that threshold into full blown uncontrolled diabetes. I do have a CGM which has been very helpful! I never thought about allergies but did wonder if it has something to do with grains. Seems my body can’t tolerate them or something. Gluten free is usually corn, ric...
  2. I just don't know what to do anymore. The gluten free diet increased my blood sugar many years ago and despite positive blood work, meaning TTG IGA antibodies and horrid symptoms, I was told to go back to eating gluten (crazy I know) but I only continued to get sicker and sicker, so I eventually quit gluten on my own, but it has been a constant struggle...
  3. Thank you so much!! I struggle trying to figure out all these ingredients, These are my go to sauces, so I am happy to know they are okay. Thanks for all your help and the great information
  4. Thank you so much! I haven’t had it biopsied, but it looks like that what it is and seems related to gluten consumption
  5. I have included 2 ingredient lists for jarred Ragu sauces, they look safe to me? But I keep messing up so I don’t trust myself so much anymore. Thanks for your help!!
  6. just wondering what others have used to calm the rashes and itching due to gluten/celic? Is there anything OTC? Or does anyone take antihistamines regularly? I feel like I have tried everything. Heading to the allergist next week
  7. Thank you so much! I recently did an intolerance and sensitivity test Thank you so much! I will read that when I get the chance. I recently did an intolerance and sensitivity test. I also purchased some gliadin x. Is that something I can take to help right now?
  8. Is there anything to do to speed up the healing process or reduce this miserable gluten belly I have? I can’t eat much of anything right now
  9. Thank you for this information! This opens my eyes to a lot. My last antibody test was still positive and I am thinking if I remember correctly that is also an indicator of gluten ingestion and intestinal damage , is that correct?? I have been on this roller coaster of trying to be gluten free 100% of the time for several years now. Unfortunately I don...
  10. Sorry if this is too much information but I wanted to see if anyone on here has any insight, I seem to be having issues digesting foods. It’s like it just comes right out in my poo. If I eat pizza or spaghetti sauce it’s like I have diarrhea and it’s like I’m just pooping out the sauce. If I eat salad it comes out like I haven’t chewed it. Those are just ...
  11. Me too! I can’t make it past a few days. The fatigue and brain fog as well as just weakness and gastrointestinal issues
  12. This one I have always liked as wel. My complaint with all gluten free breads aside from taste, texture and cost , is the once opened you have like 5 days to use it. Also the gluten free diet has skyrocketed me into full blown diabetes, which isn’t well controlled and my diabetes does not like gluten free anything , spikes my sugar terribly 😔
  13. This may be a dumb question but Is it okay to use a shampoo / conditioner containing hydrolyzed wheat protein?
  14. Thank you this is very helpful! 2 weeks is not near as long, but if it’s higher gluten intake - I feel like it’s sort of going to be the same as small amounts over a longer period of time. I just can’t stand the thought of being sick all the time. Gluten can really cause havoc all throughout my body and even land me in the ER if I have enough to trigger palpi...
  15. And the antibodies are what cause the damage to the intestines correct? I don’t think I could back on gluten to do the challenge and have the biopsy. I can’t imagine eating that much gluten every day for weeks. So if gluten doesn’t build up and is excreted out, I guess I don’t understand why sometimes gluten causes huge reactions and makes me real...
  16. Thank you for this great information! I appreciate it. Does gluten build up on a day to day basis? Like if a person consumes 1-2 grams of gluten today and then another 1-2 tomorrow, does that become more like 4 gm of gluten in your body? And so on?
  17. So it only takes 3 grams to start an immune response- but no idea what 3 grams would be eating?
  18. I recently had some blood work done due to fatigue. I’m just worn out all the time and feel terrible. My hair is falling out terribly as well. I do have diabetes (not well controlled) and central hypothyroidism thyroid (which levels are normal) as well. My rbc, hgb and hct are always normal but low side of normal as are a lot of my lab results. My vitamin d...
  19. Scott- I have generalized anxiety disorder and complex PTSD. I struggle with all the symptoms of ptsd and ruminating thoughts and severe anxiety. Not sure if that helps or not. I have been on the gluten free diet for a while, but I have been glutened here and there since in foods and medicines and cross contact. I have been dealing with autoimmune responses...
  20. I am still struggling with getting this gluten-free way of life right. Between foods and medicines I still haven’t got it all figured out, trying but not there 💯, so I know I have had gluten in some form. aside from the gastrointestinal issues and general immune system issues such as itching and rash and allergies etc the gluten exposure has also been caus...
