  1. I have tried to figure out the same about their Alfredo sauce because it has yeast extract as well. I haven’t had much luck figuring this one out. I like the jarred sauces but none are labeled gluten free but have no gluten containing ingredients that I see other than possibly the yeast extract. I eat the Alfredo sauce a lot
  2. Im still confused about the yeast extract that is listed in Bertolli alfredo. How do we know if yeast extract is safe?
  3. Are there jarred Alfredo sauces that are safe to eat, Like Ragu or Bertolli?
  4. Is yeast extract gluten free? I see it in a lot of jarred Alfredo sauces and they are not labeled gluten free but only say contain milk and eggs in the allergen list
  5. Can we only eat things that are marked gluten free or certified Gluten free? For example I use old El Paso mild taco seasoning mix… it does not say gluten free but I don’t see any ingredients that contain gluten. I have a gluten food scanner app that scans barcodes and says if it’s gluten free as well. Not sure if anyone else uses these scanning apps or if...

  7. I got misinformed in the beginning of my journey and even with positive TTG-IGA antibodies in my blood I was not sent to gastro for further work up or biopsy, I was just told to go gluten free bc I had intolerance to gluten but no way did I have celiac. Many years later I took myself to the gastro doc , I still have positive antibodies but lower than before...

  9. So do you eat gluten free replacement foods? My stomach just can’t seem to tolerate all the veggies and sugar free coffee creamers and sugar free replacements etc. eggs are hard on my stomach as is salad and things like that. I don’t think my intestines have healed .. I thought about baby food. I just don’t know anymore. I don’t even know what to eat for...
  10. I have been insulin resistant for many years. All of the sudden my insulin resistance has become terribly bad and I’m dealing with diabetes that I cannot control. I think eating gluten free replacement foods has contributed to this based on blood sugar measurements after consuming them, so I have basically backed off all breads, crackers, frozen foods etc. ...
  11. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge to help others!! I must admit I have not been as dedicated as I need to be with the sugar issues. It’s just hard. I have been prediabetic / insulin resistance for years. This year I’ve had 2 A1C readings in the diabetic range for the first time. I do take metformin. I just don’t know what to eat. It was s...
  12. I have been trying to keep a food journal. I had a spell like that today. I had eaten bacon and gluten free pizza. I didn’t eat until around lunch. I try to count carbs bc of my sugar issues and I also have central hypothyroidism, ptsd, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, SVT/tachycardia and palpitations, fibromyalgia

  15. I have recently been having spells where I get extremely sleepy, like can’t hold my eyes open, get shaky and weak. I fall asleep and am like out cold. I have been to the doc recently and nothing was out of normal for me. I do have other medical issues. Just wondering if this could have anything to do with gluten / celiac or if anyone else has had these s...

  20. Thanks. I take vitamin d and am trying to take B1 again. I also take a multi vitamin for immunity support so can you please tell me some examples of what you eat? I keep Asking that but am not having any luck getting responses.. especially breakfast if no eggs or oats and I need protein

  22. So just wondering Do You have any suggestions on a decent diet that is easier on my digestive system until my intestines heal some? I need protein bc of my sugar. I just truly don’t know what to eat. Especially for breakfast… As far as nightshades, that’s interesting bc tomato based foods and spices/peppers etc have been causing me some bloating pain ...
  23. I eat a lot of dairy (cheeses and milk) and eggs because of my sugar issues. I do eat gluten-free oatmeal sometimes and I love corn. What are nightshades? I just don’t know what the heck to eat that’s not terrible for sugar and I can digest that doesn’t cause diarrhea. Broth and any idea what else? So every time I have any amount of glute...
  24. Yeah I keep screwing up so I feel like I keep starting over and that’s probably a large part of the issue. I forget how long true healing and resolution of issues can take. Thanks for the info. I will look into those amino acids. I am trying to keep a food log, but during the healing process are there foods that are better to eat and easier to d...
