  1. Hmm... AutumnE are you the one with the cracked tooth and the yeast problems? It sounds like you and I are having similar issues. Are you by any chance having sinus problems? Here is something similar to another post that I posted. I had my second sinus surgery today 12/8 and my right sphenoid sinus (center of brain) was expanded and completely filled...
  2. I have had lots of teeth crack out of my head - try this baby ambesol for teething right on the tooth. Sometimes it can numb the root nerve a little bit. Don't know if it is gluten-free as I just learned about Celiac 1 month ago. Worst pain in the world, I think. Hang in there, hope you feel better.
  3. Thanks for everyone's help. Had sinus surgery today - sphenoid sinus was filled with a solid fungus - the entire sinus in the middle of my brain had a gelatinous fungus - isn't that gross? If I recover, maybe I can eat sugar again!! They took it all out so maybe my brain won't swell and fever when I eat, no more expansion - now I have to make...
  4. Inflammation causes swelling. Swelling causes polyps. So that could be your problem, however heed this warning... I had my second sinus surgery in two months today. The sinuses in the middle of the brain. They thought it was filled with polyps - it was filled with a solid, fungus that was gelatinous (sp). I think I may have celiac, but that just made...
  5. Thanks for the input everyone and for the support!! I found some gluten free tube-feeding formula in amazon .com's health area that you don't seem to need a prescription for. I also see a site called imed.com that sells Nutren 2.0 by Nestle that is gluten free & sugar free and I don't think you need a prescription. I was thinking of getting these because...
  6. I am having a real problem. I can't seem to eat gluten, peanuts, all sugars and anything that contains them including fructose (even the small amount in onions!), artificial sweeteners, milk, cheeses... I had a scoop of refried beans for breakfast - this seems to be the only thing I can eat, that and cashews. When I eat the other things above, I: run...
  7. Thanks for the input, was just curious. I just look at the people in my community that may or may not have computers (but I would assume so) and they are eye doctors, administrators, teachers, upper governmental employees, etc. - of course some of these people have Asperger's with super high IQ (and those with Asp are in my extended family). One person...
  8. I have read that "indicators" can be found in stool samples, probably that should lead to further testing. "Abnormal (stool) values High levels of fat in the stool may indicate chronic pancreatitis, sprue (celiac disease), cystic fibrosis, or other disorders that affect the absorption of fats. The presence of undigested meat fibers in the stool...
  9. That is so scary! If folic acid causes problems in healthy (non-malabsorption ridden) women, why don't they push it more? Can they test the blood for folic acid levels? Should they test all women for celiac genes when they become pregnant? I know it is 1in 133, but if that one has 5 kids, etc. I had to take progesterone for the first trimester to...
  10. My maternal granfather had colon cancer when elderly. My mother had breast cancer at age 45. My paternal granfather had diverticulitis and all kinds of bowel problems, had a colostomy bag as well, died of some bowel complication. I read somewhere that breast cancer can be related to uncontrolled celiac- but don't quote me, maybe someone else knows.
  11. Thanks for the response, I have been eating probiotics like candy and "de-sugaring" as well. But I never thought of doing a wash! I don't know if it is too late now though, I have severe pain in my mastoid bones and skull base as well as the center of my brain around the expanding r. sphenoid sinus. Had an MRI couple days ago, waiting to hear. Sinus surgery...
  12. From my casual experience based on looking at posts on different sites, and sizing up people in my area, people with celiac seem to be highly intellectual. Now I know celiac strikes those with Down's Syndrome and the Autism Spectrum - so there are lower and higher IQ's, and everything in between involved. But, on average what do you think? I am not diagnosed...
  13. Please, please, please let us know how it goes! I stumbled across this information in my hours of research that seem to fill the time when I am feeling ill. I have seen this treatment being used - and successfully for RA, I am not sure which others. Within the past month specialists have played with the diagnoses of Lupus, RA, IgG Immune Deficieny, Cystic...
  14. My kids just made some that is similar to this but you put a small coffee can inside a bigger one. Fill the small can with the ingredients and put the salt and ice in the bigger can. They kicked it to eache other so it would roll and roll for a 1/2 hour and then done! Good girl scout activity!
  15. Thanks for the reply it was nice to hear about others in the same boat. But the thread I was looking for involved removing xanthan gum and other foods from the diet. People reported immediate dry nights. Thanks!
  16. Limetoo, Do you know, what if it is in your sinuses/brain? I know prognosis isn't good. But how do you kill it then - the same way? Will find out my DX soon, MRI last night, surgery/culture next Friday. Thanks!
  17. Hi, Thanks for the response. Yes it has a cooling response too. Splenda and aspartame are used as food for yeast/candida - so that is out. I already made regular cookies, I just wanted to make something for me so I wouldn't feel sad - I won't feel sad enough to eat any other cookies though - because my reactions can be violent, tremor, etc. Looked...
  18. HI, I saw a post somewhere either on this site or another that addressed enuresis - bedwetting in children with celiac. My children are undiagnosed. But both my husband and I are being tested or will be tested. I couldn't find the post again. It had to do with diet modifications to stop enuresis. Any diet tips out there? My son jut sleeps so heavily...
  19. Thank you all for your input. As I have been reading posts, I have been sharing info with him. He seems to have the more blatant symptoms. I think finding out where the chest pain comes from would be a relief for him. I spoke to him and I said why I think he should be tested. He agreed that being Celiac seemed to fit. He said maybe he would agree to...
  20. I am going to a cookie exchange party tomorrow. Right now I can't seem to tolerate gluten, dairy, or any type of sugar. I think Xylitol is the only sweetener that doesn't feed candida. Open Original Shared Link Has anyone ever baked with it? How did it turn out? I think it may have a laxitive effect. Any recipes? Thanks
  21. Ooo, I did have a reaction after trying to fry chicken coated in cornmeal in it. Don't usually seem to have a problem with canola in this healthy margarine stuff I use - oops fried potatoes in that once. Got so excited about adding more fat to my diet, got a little fry happy. I don't know anything about toxicity - but it does seem to bother me when heated...
  22. My mother is so proud of where she lives, I went to spilsbury.com and had a puzzle made from her street address map. Maybe not for every mom, but it works for mine - maybe yours? I think it was $35.
  23. I learned somewhere that canola the name comes from "Canadian" and "Oil" put together. My question is, is it a seed problem? Someone said they had a RX with canola but no RX with sunflower oil. So maybe not - but I guess wheat is a seed, but so is corn, is rice? I seem to have problems with sunflower seeds, I think. I tried to do an elimination...
  24. Thanks for your input and compassion. I really am becoming more positive that I have aspergillis/candida some type of fungus in my head. The gluten is just a good food for it. I think the MRI will show whether it is or not tonight - I understand it has a different heat signature or something. My DR suggested Celiac but wants to wait to explore until after...
