  1. Just so you guys know- these posts are from 2006.
  2. Really? I love glutino. Have you tried the 'oreos'? Or the wafer cookies? Or the pretzels?
  3. A shared toaster will absolutely gluten you. It seems, from my experience, that pretty much everyone gets more sensitive the more time passes. It might sound weird, but this is a good thing. Basically, your system was so damaged before that it could only recognize big amounts. Now, your system is healthier, like a machine that's been finely calibrated...
  4. I also wanted to add, I have a friend who's been diagnosed with Ms, and she does have bilateral symptoms. It's rare, but it happens. Don't let them brush that off. I'm not saying this to scare you, but it's something to be aware of.
  5. Much better, thanks! On lots of drugs. Well, imodium. Thankfully, noone at the job seems too annoyed.
  6. Can you have almonds? You should try Elana's pantry almond butter brownies. Oh. My. God. You can replace the agave with honey one for one, if you want, too.
  7. Thanks for helping me start my day off with a big, fat laugh you guys!!!!
  8. That's why these are so great, they take up almost NO space, they can fit in a drawer. If there's space in my kitchen, there's space in yours! I have the least storage of any kitchen I've ever seen, it's ridiculous.
  9. Way to put an image of my bright red breasticles in my head.....
  10. you know what you need? An immersion blender! They're so awesome! And way easier to clean than a whole food processor. You should look it up, you can get a good one for 40 bucks. Good for smoothies and soups and whipping cream and all sorts a stuff!
  11. Ain't that odd, strawberries make my tongue burn so I've never eaten enough of them to cause a problem......
  12. Stooopid dentist!!! Same stuff happened to my mother's teeth, she eventually had to just get them all taken out and get dentures. She's only 57. Sucks. Yeah, so apparently, I just realized this, tomatoes are my issue! No kidding, I had tomato mozz salad on Monday and Tuesday, and then yesterday I had pasta sauce for dinner. I'm a dumba$$. Way too much...
  13. Thanks Patee.... you always know the right thing to say. I was going to try and go back into work today, but i knew I'd be mentally retarded. I can't even type straight, just had to delete and retype a million times typing this. I've used imodium 'just in case' for like, big days, weddings and stuff, and my first day of work, anytime I'm going to be nervous...
  14. Oh, poo, sillies. My tummy decided to have a hissy fit for an hour this morning at work. My office manager got worried (and obviously isn't interested in paying me to sit on the toilet all day) and sent me home. I hope they don't start thinking I'm all kinds of unreliable. I've got to figure out why my tummy still does this. I had way too much sugar this...
  15. I would try using corn starch instead of potato starch. Potato starch can be pretty gummy. Keep the tapioca starch, it'll keep the tortillas from falling apart.
  16. Now the bunnie is sad because I can't have kitties..... they make me stop breathing..... I LOVE kitties..........
  17. Well, apparently my fears on that front were completely unfounded. I guess the days I was interviewing and stuff people were wearing their dull clothes, because I haven't got anything remotely as flashy as what some of those girls are wearing. But the new job is really great. They really do train you and pay attention to what you're doing, it's awesome. I...
  18. Everyone must be off doing fun Mother's Day stuff!
  19. "The experts would have warned us" isn't really a valid argument, especially in the US. Too many experienced, intelligent Celiacs have reported a verifiable glutening from a winemaker who CONFIRMED the use of flour paste in their barrels for this to be a non-issue. Apparently, the winemaker Claiborne and Churchill uses barrels with rye flour paste...
  20. That stuff gets on EVERYTHING!!!
  21. I just watched training and company videos for FIVE HOURS. brain.....leaking....out.....ears....... Other than that, it was really very lovely.
  22. You know, it's easy to say, "Well that can't possibly be a gluten reaction". My reactions are completely definitive, because I get dermatitis herpetiformis and nothing but gluten causes that. There's no way to say it was a reaction to something else. I have most certainly reacted to things other people have said I couldn't possibly react to, which includes...
