  1. Maybe he's getting better at 'warming her up'.....
  2. I think I'd totally do it. I'd want my piece of bread to be a piece of that Texas Toast in the freezer section, the garlic toast? I still haven't found anything gluten free that truly replaces it, and I miss it. If I'm going to suffer for a million dollars, it might as well be tasty! And my brand new laptop would keep me busy while I stayed home and suffered...
  3. Over and over again- Nelly
  4. You were just WAITING for the chance to post that video, weren't you?
  5. Yuca, cassava, manioc, tapioca-same plant.
  6. To respond to the original question, it doesn't sound like you have any other trigger food things happening. If you are feeling somewhat better on a somewhat dairy free diet, that's pretty self-explanatory. You might also consider a probiotic at this point. And there is most definitely dark chocolate out there with no dairy in it!
  7. I think I would mention it to my date, and ask him if he has any contact info for the people catering/providing the food. Kinda, "Hey, I have Celiac, I'm gluten free. Do you know who's making the food for the formal, I want to call and see if they can make me food." If you treat the subject as if you assume he understands already and that it's not a big deal...
  8. Happens all the Time- Cold
  9. Virtually every restaurant I've been to that has a gluten-free menu doesn't list the prices, with the aforementioned exception of PF Chang's. These gluten free menus are, in my experience, not changed more than once a year. Being that the regular menu does change so frequently, along with the regular prices, it makes perfect sense that a restaurant (Outback...
  10. Well, she's not naming it Bunnie.....
  11. You need to try Burton's Grill in South Windsor, right over the town line at the Shops at Evergreen Walk. Their food is just extroardinary, and they have a dedicated fryer so you can get French fries, chicken, fish, onions rings... They have gluten-free buns for sandwiches, rolls before dinner, everything. Also, Nature's Grocer in Vernon is a gluten-free...
  12. Well, already in CT so I'm kinda ....near.... Maine. I'm down for Psillytown!! Oh my God New Englanders are stupid. So my job is a company that sells cars at auction, and 80% of them are totalled cars from insurance companies right? Which means that when the weather is bad we are very, very busy. And these FREAKIN vehicles owners and these FREAKIN insurance...
  13. YO!!!! Missing Bunnie returns! It's EVER so much fun with the snow in Ct. My town usually lags behind the other towns by at least two hours, makes getting to work much fun. All you Canadians and Michiganers are up there laughing at the stupid New Englanders.....
  14. Maybe it's a New England thing, but a crumble/crisp is fruit bottom with sugar, flour, and butter on top, crisp usually includes oats. Fruit filling with cake mix dumped on top with bits of butter all over is called, appropriately, dump cake. Cobbler is fruit filling with a batter on top- eggs, flour, sugar, butter. Fine distinctions, I realize, but it's...
  15. Thanks! Mother's lil helper didn't hurt my happy state of mind at ALL, lemme tell ya! I actually ate a burger patty last night! First meat I've had in a week. Paid for it in pain during the night, but I sure feel better today. Oh Patee! I'm sorry about your throat owwies! Honey lemon tea, Zand zinc lozenges, Vit C, and detox tea. Usually kicks my colds...
  16. I'll get right on that! How about Stevia?
  17. Whooohooo! Arr mateys!!! Hey, my eye hasn't swollen shut, my skin doesn't hurt, and my vicodin just kicked in, so I'm fulla warm fuzzies and piss 'n vinegar! As long as I'm laying down.... which i'm gonna go do now..........
  18. Oh, if your ears are itchy, it's totally ok to put a bit of olive oil on a qtip and swirl it around. Keeps earwax loose so it can come out and helps relieve dry skin, also quite antiseptic so no worries about starting an infection. I've used remedies where you soak a small piece of onion in olive oil and put in your ear for ear infections, so when I'm not...
  19. That sounds like a perfectly reasonable explanation to me. I would suggest some cleansing herbs, maybe Traditional Medicinals or Yogi cleansing teas, (Peach Detox from Yogi is fairly tasty) and maybe some chlorella or spirulina in pill form. You might also try eat/drinking things heavy on the cinnamon/ginger/nutmeg spices, they'll improve circulation and...
  20. I meant to comment, is that Hank in your avatar? He's so beautiful! Is he a standard poodle? We've been trying to decide what kind of dog we're going to get someday when we have a dog friendly home.
  21. Leeser, a motorcycle accident??!?!?!? Oh no!!! I'm SO GLAD you're (mostly) ok. I think you deserve ice cream therapy more than I do! Judy- You said how you can't imagine how it can get worse and then it does? Well, apparently my aunt had shingles quite recently, and they spread to her CROTCH. I don't feel so bad for myself anymore....... How do you treat...
