Everyone fits the profile of a Celiac. You don't even have to have symptoms to have Celiac. The numbness, tingling, and problem periods are frequent complaints of Celiac. I personally have seen a dramatic reduction in seasonal allergies since going gluten free, and I do know that a good number of people have seen success in conceiving when they were...
  2. Try the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth. I was there once about two years ago, the restaurant manager was gluten free and made me a sundae from his private stash of gluten-free brownies. It was also, by far, the best filet mignon I've ever had. At the time, I'd found it because someone left a review on yelp or one of those websites. Now, they have a whole gluten...
  3. Wow, way to go out on a limb, boys.
  4. I am a huge Dean Koontz fan. My favorites are Watchers, From the Corner of His Eye, One Door Away from Heaven, and the Odd Thomas and Frankenstein series. His stories, to me, are so hopeful, and have such a feeling of family and enduring loyalty - type stuff. Love Dean Koontz! Not the only thing I read, of course, I'm such a bookworm. I'd have to list favorite...
  5. .......... 48 hrs without a post!?!? Did I scare everyone away?
  6. HEY!! HEY!! You're supposed to be having fun when you show up here!!! Quick, let's get back to the vampires topic!
  7. Best gluten free crackers- Glutino brand round ones. They're harder than Ritz, but very tasty. I like the cheddar.
  8. That's right, things do not go directly from your stomach to your bloodstream. Which is why some supplements are sublingual, because it gets into your blood better as a specially formulated liquid under your tongue than it does in your stomach.
  9. I have a friend who is so sensitive that if her husband eats gluten and then they kiss the next DAY she reacts, apparently small particles of everything you eat gets inside your salivary glands, so even though he'd brushed a few times by then, she got glutened. Yikes~!
  10. Piece of advice- will be more effective with torn clothing and sticks&twigs in your hair. Just sayin....
  11. Hey- tell us where you live, we'll find a place!
  12. I guarantee Scott watches this thread! Besides, he only shuts stuff down when people get mean.
  13. I like Organic Food Bar, the protein one. It's not the BEST tasting one ever, but it's pretty good.
  14. I've donated a few times. I kept getting turned away for a while, have been thinking about going again now that I've been suplementing for a while with iron. My veins are so easy I could probably do the needle myself. It does leave me dizzy for a day or two. I don't mind so much. i just plan ahead for when I'll have a few days of downtime.
  15. I don't know why, but apple cider vinegar fixes everything! I always use it when I have a cold or stomach problems.
  16. Hey! Those models get hungry!
  17. I second this motion! The current reigning monarch should make it happen!
  18. I believe the appropriate term is, "small but mighty". Look, we got Oscar to come out!
  19. HAHAHA!!!
  20. Or like the time I said to my mother, 'You know, the word for periods and exclamation points and stuff?' She says, 'Punctuation....?' Yeah, yeah, that!
  21. Youu can just add the honey- one or two tablespoons. That's a really good idea, honey gives a moister crumb and holds things together.
  22. You know what's funny? I don't get reading dyslexia, I get speaking dyslexia! Words will come out with letters switched. Makes for some pretty funny stories....!
  23. My first try would be to add one or two tablespoons of applesauce and switch to palm oil shortening instead of coconut oil.
  24. No, oddly enough I never got the rash until at least 6 months after I went gluten free. We had purchased what I thought was a safe rotisserie chicken from our local grocery club, and boy did I get sick. Rash lasted for three weeks. I actually called my doctor to tell him, and he told me it was the Celiac and not to get it tested, because then I would have...
