    I was severely anemic...my ferritin was less than zero on the bloodwork. I had Iron IV's which helped for a little bit, but then the numbers started to drop really quickly.     He wasn't hospitalized for the kidney stones when the weight loss happened. He had no appetite at all which is the reason for weight loss. He was in a lot of pain in his stomach. That's the only reason he lost so much weight. He was also dx'd IBS at the end of all of this because they didn't know what it was. Kassandra

    The reason I think he has Celiac is because he has had GI Symptoms his whole life. He was once hospitalized for what they thought was diverticulitis, but then it wasn't.     I know when I went to a Mexican restaurant and they used oyster sauce, it had wheat in it. I'm not sure about the fish sauce though. Also, I thought I remember hearing once that we couldn't have fried rice because something they used in it. Kassandra

    If you find you really need to take a supplement, you could try Colon Cleanse. You can buy it online or at Trader Joes, or any healthfood store. Also, how many gluten free replacement foods are you eating? I find that before I went gluten free, I was no longer eating the "high fiber" cereals, etc. so it can be hard to get things going.     My dad has had kidney stones for years and years and I was wondering if anyone had them before going gluten free and if they have now stopped? He has not been tested, but this may be enough to push him to get tested. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this? Kassandra

    I am all for Enterolab, but it does NOT DIAGNOSE CELIAC DISEASE!!! It tells you if you are reacting to gluten, but it does NOT diagnose Celiac Disease. I just wish I would have known this when I got tested with Enterolab. Kassandra

    Jin, It was actually in Northern California. I flew up there. It was a lot of fun, except I was sick for 3 out of 4 days! But the food was good (well, the gluten free, soy free, nut free, dairy free food I was actually able to eat!) It was funny I was at celiac camp and needed "special food"!!!! Kassandra

    Hey, I did take my birth control pill with the Vicodin (not at the same exact time...about an hour apart). The thing is I have been on BC and the Vicodin for at least 2 months.     I have a kind of random question. I am going for skin testing in a week or two. If we find out I have a mold allergy, and it is in our building...what do we do? Can I take something for it.     I second Zofran. When I was in the hospital, I was glutened many times and they gave it to my through my IV as much as I was allowed (every 2 hours I think.) Then I had a TERRIBLE reaction to a narcotic pain medication and was so nauseous I couldn't open my eyes (I REFUSE to throw up) and they gave me more zofran and it was amazing! I now got a prescription...

    That was an interesting article. I don't really know what I thought about it...it was a little mean to her. I don't think she's nagging at all. It's so easy to just delete the "15 e-mails" which I only get about 4 a day...so I don't know where that number came from? Oh well.
