  1. Sarah, I am allergic to all antibiotics. I react in the same way, when I was young I had welts/hives all over my ENTIRE body. My parents gave me benadryl, and my mom and I were just talking about why I was never given a medical alert bracelet. She basically said, "if you ever needed antibiotics, they would be through an IV" and apparently my ped when I...
  2. I am going to a Yom Kippur break fast on Saturday night. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as what to bring? And tried recipes that are simple and don't take hours to make? I don't even know if it needs to be gluten free because I don't think I'm going to be able to eat anything. I was thinking about just eating before I go (I can't fast for health...
  3. Ugh! I just talked to my Dr. and he was like...well just don't eat those things! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How minimizing?! I don't know if I'm overreacting, but I think hives, etc. are pretty serious. And even he said, it WILL get WORSE!!!! Kassandra
  4. Tom, Lol! We must have been posting at the same time! I am waiting for my Dr. to call me back. The appt. lady freaked out...she was like COME IN!!! And I told her the hives, etc. are gone because of the benadryl. I am SO TIRED today though! I took a benadryl this morning before school and I had 3 tests today...NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! I kept falling asleep...
  5. I didn't have such a positive experience... . I seem to get sick every time I go there...I think it's CC though. I'm glad you all have had good experiences though! Kassandra
  6. Jin, Ugh! How does one get tested? I don't know if you saw but I had some freak allergic reaction to something I ate last night. I had hives, itchiness, a hard time breathing, etc. It was really bad! I called my doctor about this, and I don't want to also mention the gallbladder thing! Kassandra It also could be related to my periods and their craziness...
  7. Somebody said the Fleischman's Light was df, sf and gluten-free in another thread, and it isn't unless I read the wrong ingredients. I looked it up on their website and it has soy in it. Correct me if I'm wrong! Kassandra
  8. That is interesting about the mango. I am also worried that it is a serious allergy, because I know that they get worse and worse every time you ingest the product. I am tree nut free because they give me migraines which we never knew until my allergist told me that I should take them out of my diet. Also, how many doses of benadryl must I take for it to...
  9. Hey all, Well, I am feeling a little better, but still really itchy and still have 2 bumps lesft in my mouth. This is very strange. The problem with the benadryl, I took one last night at about 7.30 ish, and I fell asleep an hour later. I had so much homework to finish, I set my alarm for 3.00 am to finish it. I just wanted to give an update. I guess...
  10. Everyone here is awake...it's 7.30 here. This is so strange. I hope this passes quickly. I have school tomorrow! Kassandra
  11. Omg...it's getting worse. I'm short of breath and I now have bumps on my mouth! I'm going to go find benadryl. And my hand feels like it's burning!! Carla, I have been taking the herbs for quite a few days with no problems. Also, the last time I took them was this morning arounf 8 or 9. This was the ingredient list: Corn Flour, Water, Evaporated...
  12. I don't have any "true" allergies where I get hives. etc. But tonight we bought some Trader Joe's Gluten Free, Dairy Free granola. I just picked out the nuts because they usually give me headaches. Well, about 30 minutes later...well maybe 15-30, I got hives on my legs by the creases and the creases in my arms are itching so badly they are now bright red...
  13. Jin, Did you have severe cramping with your gallbladder? I am having the WORST cramping and it feels like my period, but I don't have it and I'm not close to having it. This is really bad!!! Kassandra
  14. I have a question. We bought one ricera and the next day it smelled SO foul!!! Is this normal...or did we get a bad one? The expiration date wasn't bad either. Kassandra
  15. I think you need to give casein free more time. Also, are you sure your gluten-free? New toaster, new pots and pans, dedicated toaster? If you do, ignore the suggestions, but just a thought. Kassandra Also, soy may be a problem.
  16. Nevermind, I found the ingredients...it does contain soybean oil. Crittermom, just fyi, it's not soy free. Kassandra
  17. Wait, Fleischman's Light Margarine is soy, dairy AND gluten free? Are you serious???? OMG!!! Can someone post the ingredient list, I can't find it. Kassandra Sorry, I'm so so excited because I am daiary, gluten and soy free and can't ever find a margarine free of these things.
  18. This has been covered before. What sticks out in my mind was that if your child can't talkf for some reason (unconscious, etc.) and the paramedics get to her...you wouldn't want them to be afraid to give her something that may have gluten in it, if it's going to save her life. I would do it if she had anaphylaxis to something, but otherwise...I don't think...
  19. My local frozen yogurt place. It's called Studio City Yogurt. But, if you look at most frozen yogurt places, they have at least one dairy free yogurt. Frostline is the name of the brand that this place uses. It is gluten free but you have to make sure what they add to the the powder is gluten free and dairy free. Thanks for the list. Kassandra
  20. I went to go get some dairy free frozen yogurt, but of course I asked to look at the ingredient list for gluten. I found out it's gluten free, but one of the ingredients was sodium lactate. Is this dairy or not...I kept getting mixed messages when I googled it. Any ideas? Thanks!
  21. Hello everyone, I had a really good day! I have quite a bit more energy and I slept SO well last night (even though sleeping in never a problem for me...it's actually quite the opposite...can't wake up!) I went to bed at 8.30 and woke up at 5.19 (one minute before my alarm ). School went much smoother today because I wasn't looking at the clock every...
  22. NoGluGirl, I know...who would have thought? A sinus infection??!!! I wish you could see him too, he would probably also tell you you don't have Candida. Lol. He tested me for all kinds of bacteria, etc. and everything was fine. No mold exposure (YAY!!!) no heavy metal toxicity (YAY!!!!). I am really glad we went to see him. Although this whole sinus spray...
  23. I just wanted to make a suggestion, have you tried quinoa flakes? I know they're not the same thing, but they are a similar idea to oats. I have them in the morning with banana, brown sugar and cinnamon. I don't eat oats. I get too worried about CC in my own home, I couldn't imagine glutening myself! EEK. Kassandra
  24. Andrea, He said I should be feeling better within 24-48 hours. Not 100% but a lot better, and if not, double or even triple the dose that he gave me. We'll see. Kassandra
  25. Hello everyone, So, I went to the doctor today and GOOD and bad news!!!!! Well, the way he does it, is he has little vials type things with herbs in them. Then he does muscle testing and sees how you react to the herbs. He is amazing...it's a little hard to explain exactly how he does it. After about 30 min. of him testing me and changing the herbs, then...
