  1. Kassandra, I am also quite careful about personal products with gluten. When I removed them last year, there was a noted change for the better so I have tried to continue that. It has been hard since products in China are not labeled with the ingredients. I have had to search for imported items. Now that I am here, I have to look for some, that's still...
  2. Regarding the jet lag, it usually takes me 10 days, but if I stay up in the daytime and take ambien at night I usually function pretty well without much late afternoon dragging around. Sherry
  3. Hey all, what a difference to be in another part of the world! Usually I check in the morning to find 3 pages of posts!!! I sent the update about my visit with Dr. E by email. If you didn't get it and want it, send me a PM. Sherry
  4. April, that sounds interesting. Japanese and Chinese can have both similarities and differences. Interestingly my strong color and bruising from the last gua sha has been clearing up quite rapidly the past two days. I wonder if the chlorella is helping that?
  5. Add me to the list of folk who dislike the phone, I don't mind receiving but often avoid calling out except for certain people or some business calls. I avoid calls where I am not really confident of what to say.
  6. LOL that's 16 days....
  7. Kassandra, that is such good news about the talk with your brother. Very meaningful.
  8. Wow, I think I am finally caught up reading. We have a "friendly neighbor" here with an open connection, so are able to get online even though this house has no internet access. The herx has settled into a more mild ongoing one, so I am hanging in there on the starting dosage. I'll email my update in the morning to the several who want it...once I...
  9. Another quick drive by...I'm in Portland, and able to "piggyback" on a wireless in the area, so hopefully I'll get to catch up over the next two days. So cool today!!!! I got to meet Andrea, and the adorable kids! How fun! Wish you were all there. I have my update almost ready to send by email... The herx is better today and steady rather than...
  10. I'm on the King chlorella now too, and tested well for it.
  11. Oh, and as soon as I can get to a store and get lemons I am going to try the lemon water for sure!! Sherry
  12. Hi everyone, Just got online but may not access too much longer. The herxing follows a couple hours after the drops and last 3-4 hours. I'm going to try to use more chlorella, as that seemed to help me last night. Of course herxing is good...obviously this is working on me! I'll try to get a full update ready as soon as I can. We will be leaving...
  13. Just one more idea...check out the lyme disease thread on this forum. The muscle, joint, and maybe the lumps sound suspicious to me. There's a long symptom list at the beginning of the lyme thread. I have lumps on my feet too, but not sure where yours are? I have a diagnosis for mine, which are restricted to hands and feet.
  14. I take Thorne buffered C powder that has magnesium in it. Currently I take a rounded scoop in the mornhing, and then two at night. I was down to two a day then the constipation got worse again. everyone...jet lag woes, I'm up in the middle of the night. But I caught up reading anyway. Glad for the good news for several people. Sherry
  15. Quick drive by, and I'll try to catch up in the next few days. Good appointment with Dr. E, lasted 4 hours! No LED today. Nutshell: main issues are lyme with all co-infections including bart (8 varieties of borrelia), rickettsia, strep, and h pylori. Metals are a big problem too and are hindering things. But with the right combo against...
  16. Quick drive by...got in safetly and smoothly to Seattle. Will post when I can. Sherry
  17. Thanks...I do okay with the ambien at night...but have to take it for 10 days in a row now. Guess it is my age. We'll be headed by you on Friday, we have to get to Oregon City by mid afternoon to pick up the key to the place we are staying. We wouldn't have long to stop, but maybe could if there is an easy place to meet? Otherwise we'll catch...
  18. Quick note before I close down my computer for travel... I haven't noticed trouble so far. It opens the pores so you excrete more from the skin I think. The first time on the second day I was tired, they told me that was normal. I do keep taking my charcoal, and drink water. Sherry
  19. Not sure when I'll be able to post again, I'm leaving for the USA tomorrow. It will be different to be posting in a similar time zone as most of you! Sherry
  20. You know how we've talked here about people having pain in their neck and shoulders, and how many of us do? Well, it was very interesting today when I did the gua sha. I hadn't done the neck and top of the shoulders before. Well, it turned the worse color ever. Seriously, it is black or dark purple in spots, green in spots and red in others. I am going...
  21. Kassandra, seems like moving the chair temporarily, even into the hall, just to see if it is bothering you might be in order...what about into your brother's room temporarily just to try? Headaches I don't get a lot of. Chinese people do the gua sha for it...on the back neck areas.
  22. My LLMD treats very young children as well; he treats a lot of autistic kids. However, I don't know all the details of how he treats. The office now has a therapy dog--a beautiful large dog. I assume that is partly for the children, as I have never been formally "introduced!"
  23. Gua sha update: My friend did it for me today, and she did a better job I think. More thorough, gentler touch but did it longer. She said usually 3-5 minutes over a spot: 3 min for maintainance purposes, 5 minutes for treatment. She's not a medical practitioner...but this is a household/folk remedy so most people do it or have it done. She also did...
  24. I'm not in the UK but HK influences some of the english labels in our area. Tapioca flour here is referred to as cassava flour.
  25. Yes, I am seeing one on Wednesday, thanks to Andrea's help! Less than 24 hours after I arrive in Seattle, LOL! Julie, you said this so well. I want to add my thanks to you all as well. This time, instead of going back with all my descriptions and then a "what do I do?" to my LLMD, I have a list of things I would like to check out and possibilities...
