  1. Susie, so great to see you! We hope you'll just pop in on occasion as we miss hearing from you. So sorry about the depression continuing. Rinne, Merry Christmas to you too!
  2. Andrea, that is a wonderful picture of your kids...they are so adorable. Can't wait to meet you all. Sorry about the colds for you, Carla and Tom. Donna and Kassandra, I'm with you on the after Christmas strict diet. I've been getting too much sugar...and right now, with no antifungals, that's probably at least part of the cause of my symptoms. I...
  3. It reduces my symptoms: brain fog, pain, fatigue.
  4. I agree, I think that a month off gluten will already make your testing negative. I wonder if there would still be unhealed damage in your gut....but the biopsy would have to find just the right spot. Not that likely.
  5. Mia, this is very interesting. I haven't heard of this one and wonder if this might be an issue for me too. That might be why my last massage brought out so much lyme problems.
  6. LOL, I've taken it before this way. Yes it is very bitter. I'd have to say that Chinese medicine is much much much worse. (In the powder or infusion form). Also olive leaf tea was pretty horrible.
  7. Yes, it helps me for sure.
  8. There have been lots of good ideas here. What came to mind for me was 1) you need a longer time to heal 2) high fat content of the cookies 3) high soy content in the cookies unless you made them with butter, as shortening and margarines are usually soy based 4) allergy to gluten free items like cornstarch, xanthan gum, tapicoa, potato Enterolab uses...
  9. I think there are quite a few bacteria with flagella. I see that salmonella and e coli both have flagella. I do think there should be further checking of this due to her having symptoms.
  10. Thanks for all this input, sounds like I would be best to make a trip to Trader Joes/Whole Foods when I get in on the 15th.
  11. Donna, sounds really amazing. I think I'll ask the person I go to here to do that next time since I don't dare have her do too much on my lower back. I am still having symptoms, though it may be less from the last massage now and more due to cutting back on meds. I'm curious what benefit you'll find from this.
  12. I agree!!!! Fantastic, Kassandra. It will reduce a lot of stress for you. Birdy we are hoping for some improvement for you as well!!!!!
  13. I did look at a bart symptom list or two. Nothing jumped out at me, just the general fatigue. My symptoms that have been coming up lately are muscle/joint pain, fatigue, brain fog. Abdominal discomfort is not that much. I am bloated somewhat but not uncomfortable with it. Constipated still, had to increase my Vit C powder from 2 to 3 scoops. The foot...
  14. I have been taking 2-3, usually 3 in the middle of the night. I figure it can't hurt me when it is away from other food and meds.
  15. It looks like there is a Trader Joes and Whole Foods in north Tacoma. It is a ways as we are south of Tacoma but might be a possibility, maybe even on our way back from the airport if my DIL doesn't mind.
  16. No I haven't been treated for bartonella, it didn't come up in my testing. I wonder too. I have pain mostly in the balls of my feet. My right foot especially. When I am having lyme pain, I get sharp pains in different parts of my feet. Top at times, big toes at times, I forget. This could be bart?? I've been setting the alarm to get up about ...
  17. Patti, I am delighted this is working for you!! I agree that the color match is key, and also not using too much. I am still getting the hang of it but the comments the others made are good. My first foundation was close but too dark and it made me look really wrinkley too. Also I think once you know the foundation color you want, in your...
  18. I'd question it if he is at a walk-in clinic. Good ones are usually very busy in private practice.
  19. I think I am ok on recipes mostly, so once I settle in I should be okay. Where do you get the "seeds of change" dressings?
  20. I did olive leaf tea right after I was diagnosed with lyme. Had to cook it in a crock pot for 8 hours, then drink it every morning on an empty stomach. It upset my stomach so the doc had me quit. I was trying doxycycline which really really upset me, so he cut out the OL. I was happy to not have to do it anymore but don't remember if it helped. It was...
  21. Just a comment on the acid blockers, again everyone is different. I tried a whole series of acid blockers through the fall a year ago before I was diagnosed with H Pylori. They all caused side effects. Prilosec helped with the nausea but caused horrible side effects--muscle pain like you wouldn't believe. I thought I was having major lyme symptoms but...
  22. Kristina, I may be off here, but my thought is: Your gluten-free diet is working, so that your TtG is now negative, and that is excellent. The IgG may be up because your immune system is now less depressed and is actually showing that you are more reactive/sensitive to gluten. This is what many celiacs report clinically. I don't think it indicates...
  23. My largest ever was lower 190's. I am 5'6, shorter torso and longer legs. I could usually wear 16W in many of the regular stores or plus size stores. 1X was usually okay too. Hope that helps. I am celebrating the 160 mark, and wearing some 12's even.
  24. That is for sure what has happened to me, but usually also feet hurting, and all over aching/fatigue along with it. Stupid lyme. I am generally better now though.
  25. Marvelous, Offthegrid!!! I too have recently been able to take some things out of storage to wear again. It does feel great!!!
