ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

I haven't noticed any significance at least nothing that is consistent. I need to review back and figure out when I first started it and compare with the onset of nausea in 2005. I know that my doc wasn't that excited about using the oral one but with my being far away, it was the option we had. After I doubled my dose this fall, I also haven't notice... -

Quick drive by update: The "gua sha" wasn't that painful, but the foot scraping sounds like it would be. I don't recommend this to anyone who wants to where a swimming suit soon! My back is red and purple. It isn't bad enough that I am not willing to do it again. Fatigue hit me hard yesterday, am better today after ecoffee. Also looks like my cycle... -

Tried something new this week; I went for a massage again, actually twice this week. She told me that according to Chinese medicine the best way to get rid of toxins is to Gua Sha. This is where they scrape your skin. She put oil on my upper back, and then rub hard on the skin with something with a firm edge (like at home, with the edge of a china rice... -

Quick drive by, I am able to get online here this time around! But not much time. I did catch up reading. LOL, me too. Great idea, I'm looking for them when I am in the USA to see if they'd work any better than what I have. LOL...I can so relate to this. I was traumatized at the idea of going to the bathroom for a... -

Kassandra, that's so cool! Since 1/4 of the world speak Mandarin, and China is certainly increasing in world influence and trade, it is the language of the future. When I get to the states you can call me and practice!! -

Rats!! I just lost my post responding to you all.... A quicky here as I am packing for my next leg of the journey. I started studying Mandarin in '78, 2 years then, and another two years in 2002-4. In between and since, lots of day to day usage. I support anybody doing language learning, it is so enriching and helps us have a broader world view and... -

I don't think anyone else here has dupuytrens, I posted once on the board and only had a couple of responses about relatives or whatever. But I found one site that said no free fats, all vegetarian, then this: soak hands in hot water for 20 min 4 times a day and then work on stretching them. Hmm. If I didn't do anything else maybe. But with my work... -

Yes, actually I do. I am fluent in Mandarin, spoken and written. I type Chinese, but because I don't practice everyday, I blank out when I go to write characters unless I look it up to remind me. Lyme brain doesn't help! Hey all you insomniacs...too bad I had a full busy day or I could have chatted with you all! -

Ami you are very much in my thoughts. April, that is awful. There was some posting on this forum and maybe this thread about hormones in milk and meats being a big cause of this problem. Here in China it is a problem too. Our landlord's twelve year old son just had to have surgery in the private area, and it was related to this same issue of additives... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Have A Tried And True Christmas Cookie Recipe
mftnchn replied to mairin's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I have a passed down family recipe that I have used for years for cut out gingerbread cookies. They are soft and cakey, and yummy frosted. Not has strong a flavor as gingersnaps usually are. I am currently away from home so don't have the gluten-free version we have worked out. I haven't tried making a rolled out cookie yet, but we make drop cookies... -
I add my voice to these others about checking out lyme. Also checking out heavy metal toxicity and all types of parasites is important. And while you are healing it is possible that you will have to eliminate a bunch of stuff that you don't tolerate. Something is behind all of these sensitivities. As I understand it, you can order the test kit yourself...

I think I am doing 75-90% these days, a dip to 50-60 on the first day of the pineapple diet. -

Kassandra, this problem with the doctor is really ridiculous. Here's my idea: I think you should write a formal letter, saying that your doctors need to coordinate their treatment and that because they are not doing so, even though they are aware of one another's contact information and of the issues at stake, your health is suffering. Simply state that... -

Kassandra, Neck pain/shoulder pain: I know, I have been there. Bucky, your new best friend is great. If I get chilled (it is cold here in the winter) my pain gets a lot worse because I tense up. Of course the anger doesn't help that, so after you express it well, then do some deep breathing and relaxation, maybe music, and try to focus on picturing... -
ARCHIVED New Here. Here Are My Symptoms.

Just a comment that it really does take awhile. I have dealt with constipation issues too. I use buffered C powder that has magnesium in it as well, morning and evening. Earlier after going Gluten-free Casein-free I had to use three scoops of this plus extra magnesium and extra Vit C in order to eliminate. So basically I am using half that amount now... -
Elevated mercury is another thing that does it.

Brain fog can have more than one cause. For example, I experience this from lyme disease, and it is mentioned frequently by other patients too. You might want to check the lyme disease thread on this forum as it has a long list of symptoms, just in case.

Thanks for the thoughts about my hand problem. It is still quite irritated. Seems to be worst in the ring finger and down into the palm. Dupuytrens is notorious to hit the ring finger. I would love to find something that helps this problem. I can find so little information about it, no one seems to be researching it. -

Jin, your column is back!!!! LOL about the poem. I do crush the garlic, with the side of a big knife, then chop it. I'll look for my Bowen test results and post them in the latter part of January. Promise! I don't know if there are bands as it is a different kind of test. There were pictures of the organisms in the results. The test uses... -

I am wondering why not psyllium for a binder for mercury? Okay I have a problem, any suggestions on this? I have a condition called palmar faciitis [dupuytrans] and plantar faciitis (one is in the palms and the other on the soles of the feet). It started in 2000. Not much is known about it, but it is associated with northern European ancestry, diabetes... -

A quick drive by, lots to get ready for my trip. Kassandra, I get that shaky feeling too sometimes, it is when I am most in need of detox. I drink extra water and sometimes lay down for a few minutes. It passes and then I feel much better. I don't know the answer for sure on the caffeine, but I seem to remember that when the doctor gave me... -

Kassandra, keep up your charcoal, lemon water, lots of extra water, and your baths. I think you can even to the baths twice a day. Oh, you might try adding skin brushing. Did the rash go away when you felt better for a few hours? Do you think you'd be brave enough to try e-coffee and would your Mom let you?
