  1. Yes, TS. Congratulations on finding out this piece of the puzzle! There are challenges ahead, but you have a direction which is great.
  2. Yes, Carla--I totally agree! And we also model for our children how to persevere under hardship. Thanks also for the info on acid/alkaline. I copied and will check it over later. Today I am off on my next trip, feeling better but not fully myself. Today I did repeat liver enzymes, pick up the results on my way out of town. Also I just took 2 days...
  3. I am rather confused about the acid/alkaline thing. Can anyone clear this up? I noticed a post with a quote from Rachel about more acidic better to combat parasites. Then I saw some posts about using vinegar and lemon juice for being more alkaline. Also since I am a type O blood type I understand it is better for me to be more acidic. So I am not sure...
  4. I'm in the process as well, but am on HRT for now. Natural progesterone and estrogen patches, small doses. The doc put me on this due to bad insomnia. My gyn says she isn't too worried for this small dosage and once I am fully into menopause we'll back it off. I am finding the hot flashes not too bad but recently am concerned that it might be babs...
  5. Donna and Mia, I have in the past been very sensitive to chemicals as well. I am better than I was though. I recently switched to everyday minerals makeup, it has very simple ingredients. I so far do very well with this. Skin care products--I am careful there too. I used to get very faint after about 30 seconds in a store. I still avoid exposures...
  6. Sorry Andrea, lyme brain forgetfulness...when is your phone consult with your doctor?
  7. Kassandra, you know, it does make sense the the iron IV, especially with a PICC line would be done as an outpatient procedure at the hospital where there is access to the resources needed if there is a problem. However, what doesn't make sense is that you really need this and arrangements are not being made to do this. All it should have taken was your...
  8. Okay, I tried the epsom salts foot soak, and it did help clear some of the fogginess I think. I used a pail, so could get about half my calves in the soak as well.
  9. Kassandra, so much is happening right now in spite of the difficulties along the way. It's great your grandmother could be sort of on board. We are all hoping for some breakthroughs for you soon. YAY on the online school, and I am looking forward to more updates as these appointments happen.
  10. Hey...would I get relief from the pain in my upper back and shoulders with an epsom salt foot bath? (No tub until next Tuesday evening.)
  11. Good grief! Did you tell him what happened the last time the hemotologist told you to go to the ER?
  12. Yeah, Rachel. I've done the epsom salts, salt, and soda combo, but use under a 1/2 cup total and equal amounts of each in the mix. Even with that I have symptoms after, especially the next day. That's what I am not sure about, if this really detoxes me or just stirs stuff up. Maybe I should try more epsom and less soda and salt.
  13. Carla, can you direct me to a good place to look at the babesia treatment and symptoms? I am starting to get suspicious that this is an issue; I treated for it early on, but am noticing the hot/cold flashes and sweats. I attributed it to perimenopause but now I am not so sure.
  14. YAY on the good report re Chloe from her teachers! Julie, I'd try the onion--but my insomnia has been much better the last couple of months. Hardly using ambien now. So I don't have to do the onion thing, whew! Lisa, I don't know, but it does sound toxic. I think that you are eliminating is a good thing though. Andrea, I hope the phone consult...
  15. Donna, thanks for the info about epsom and soda. I would try the plain epsom if I could but don't have a tub at home. For hat color--I'll take the mauve!!
  16. Yeah, phone calls and in person is more scary because of that! LOL
  17. Prior to lyme treatment this was constant for me too. It was especially bad at night. I was living on 4 aspirin every four hours. Maybe that is why it is so hard now, to have it again after being free of it for several years. Right now isn't the worst I've had. The worst is when there is a burning buzzing pain in addition to the "hurt" pain. That...
  18. Do you get the neck shoulder back pain during the herx? I agree about the cyst busters activating the lyme--seems like it has been like that for all the years I have taken flagyl. I think maybe what you are saying is right...and I am just not eliminating well. Maybe until I get more gut healing I won't make much progress.
  19. Jentu, Hello and welcome. I think it is really important to check for celiac. The blood tests (someone just posted info on this forum on which labs are most reliable for testing), be sure you get all 5 tests. Even with negative blood tests some are positive with biopsy. You have to have fairly advanced damage for these to show up as positive. Enterolab...
  20. Re the synthroid, I don't know either. For some thyroid issues, it is much better to use Armour thyroid than the synthetic. I wonder if you could switch? It's pretty hard to avoid corn, harder than a lot of things if you use anything prepared. I am trying to be corn lite.
  21. Donna glad you're back and had a good time. Carla, (and someone else mentioned it, was it you, Julie?) how do you do your epsom salt baths? You said you feel better after...I seem to continue to have more symptoms after the detox baths. Do you know if this can activate the lyme? I may have had a virus this last week that made this whole picture harder...
  22. Welcome Birdie and Zook! Glad you joined us. Trying to think of a funny maladaptive milieu quip but my maladaptive milieu fog has taken over today... Kassandra, that ER experience takes the cake! I agree that this should all be promptly reported to the hematologist. Probably the hema guy should have called ahead that you were coming. Mia, glad...
  23. Just checking if anyone has an update on Crystal Light. It is a Kraft product, is it gluten-free or has anyone has problems with it (other than it contains aspartame?)
  24. I have noticed here that some people don't get sick from a gluten exposure until a few days later...that is what recently happened to me. I was fine right afterward, but 2-3 days later started to feel poorly and day 4 was quite bad.
