  1. Carla, fantastic news!!!!
  2. Hooray, hooray!! How about trying a hospital pharmacy?
  3. Here's the recipe I use. It was originally a gluten flour recipe, which I used for rolling out. It makes thick soft cookies. Here's my adaptation, but I haven't tried rolling it out, just make drop cookies. Molasses Cookies Ingredients: 1 C shortening 1 C sugar 1 C molasses 3 beaten eggs 1 C sour milk (I use rice milk with 1 T vinegar in it...
  4. Here's the recipe I use for molasses cookies. It was originally a gluten flour recipe and I rolled it out to make soft thick cookies. I haven't tried to roll it out with gluten-free flour, but we make drop cookies with raisins in them, and they would be great to frost and decorate. 1 C shortening 1 C sugar 1 C molasses 3 beaten eggs 1 C sour milk...
  5. Sweet fudge, I'd love to make those sugar cookies but can't buy or use the instant pudding mix (not available here, has milk in it). Can you suggest a substitute?
  6. Hey Rachel, I'm not using Humaworm yet either, not until the end of the month. I don't like looking , but I figure I need to know if I pass obvious parasites because my doctor needs to know to give me the best care.
  7. Yes, I'm home until the end of the month. Yay!
  8. hi everyone...am reading along but not typing much as I am staying in bed due to my back problems. Apparently the Chinese massage was a little too hard...LOL. It is better this afternoon but I couldn't hardly get around this morning. Looking forward to everyone's updates.
  9. Enterolab instructions say to avoid taking these three days before the test. I did this, and when my malabsorption was sky high, asked my allergist about it. He said that even if my body is slow to process and empty (hence my question did I still have these in my system?, taking these would not be enough to cause the malabsorption to be so high. But...
  10. Boy, I'd sure do the celiac blood tests. I had no family history either. I think I'd want a biopsy too. Also the infectious celiac like illness forget what it is called.
  11. Wow, Carla! I am impressed that a laser might do what nothing else would do besides Ambien. Wish it was possible to try laser before investing in it, wonder what one treatment would cost? I am down with a back problem, seems like my massage yesterday started it, so I went back and now it is so bad I am having trouble moving. Supposed to travel...
  12. I sure hope you all like this. Ravenwoodglass, I am really enjoying being able to wear makeup. Feeling crummy and thinking I look crummy too was really depressing. I sure hope it works for you.
  13. It must be so very hard, you have waited a long time and also struggled at every step. One thing I have learned over the years is that if I am focused on getting over the next mountain all the time, I don't stop and enjoy the current mountain-top and celebrate that I made it this far. It keeps me frustrated, anxious, burdened and restless. So my...
  14. I would ask for sure. Especially if you do have celiac along with lyme disease. Good to have a baseline, seems like to me. Will your insurance pay if there is a medical concern? I mean, this is not just a normal baseline for women before they go through menopause.
  15. Wonderful news! Way to go, Rachel!
  16. Yeah, I had the same trouble, I found people that said calling the company they were very very helpful. Out of my first samples, I found one foundation I thought was a match. The blush was too strong/dark, so I mixed with some foundation and it worked well. The second set I found an even better foundation match, and a blush match. Now, in the next...
  17. Also, in your sample kits, try the different coverages of foundation. I use a one shade lighter foundation in the intensive formula for eye makeup, with a darker shade on the lid. I love getting the sample kits. I thought I had a good match, until I ordered another color to try and it was really perfect. I couldn't believe the difference. ...
  18. I am trying to keep up reading along...just two more days until I head home until after Christmas! I've started B12 shots, had a pretty easy week with Flagyl this time, just the one day or so with high fatigue, which hit the day after the gua sha. My back looks much better now, other than bruises over the shoulder blade bones. I'll go back tonight...
  19. Welcome! One of the problems with stool testing for parasites (the conventional type) is that it misses a lot. For example, ameoba disintegrates on exposure to oxygen in the air, no traces left. You have to get the sample from mucous, or from an inside swab, and put in a special medium. Anyway, you might check into the test you had to be sure...
  20. Hi, Birdy. I am sure I had both for many years. Within a couple of years of when I was probably infected, I was intolerant to everything--I tested at the allergist's at one point for 7 weeks every day, and didn't find anything I wasn't allergic to...a universal reactor at that point. Wish I could have treated lyme then! I have done quite well...
  21. Yes, I use this! I couldn't use my makeup after going gluten-free, and also discovered I was allergic to bismuth when I was on treatment for h pylori. I already had to be careful because of allergies to makeup--like to fragrances, etc. So I was attracted to this because of the simple ingredients. I had to order something sight unseen as I couldn't find...
  22. Hi, I have developed a written reporting that I take to my LLMD every time, or send by email before my phone appointment. I start by listing all my medications and supplements. Then I have a section in bold with the details under so it is easy for him to find a particular topic. So I might have a section on medication adjustments and responses, joints...
  23. This sounds excellent, Kristina. Hopefully you'll start to get some answers but at least he sounds like someone you may be able to trust to help and not harm you. Sorry about the pain, can you take anything over the counter for it and still tolerate it? Are you still doing the epsom salt soaks? With that much pain, it is best not to expect too...
  24. Not sure but the locals swear by it for detox. My friend today said I'd probably need 4-5 times, and can do 2 times a month or less. Guess I'll do at least one more before I head to the USA. Kassandra, Hang in there, you can do this. You've gotten this far. Hopefully you'll make progress on the underlying cause and maybe won't have to do this...
