I've been on cat's claw for several years and it made a huge difference in my treatment. I am currently, since Aug, on Japanese knotweed as well. Can't tell about that one. Can you chiro check you with samples he/she has on hand?

ARCHIVED Hair Still Falling Out!
mftnchn replied to Babygirl6915's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I had a sudden and severe hair loss two years ago, bad enough I had to wear wigs for awhile. I agree with the posters re: --thyroid. I'd suggest doing basal body temperatures for awhile. Thyroid problems are often underdiagnosed. --hormones. My hair stylist says they see this commonly with higher progesterone levels. Other guesses: vitamin, mineral... -
ARCHIVED Help! New And Need Advice
mftnchn replied to kali-mist's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Due to my location, I didn't have blood tests and biopsy, and my doctors have diagnosed me on the basis of Enterolab, double DQ2 genes, and dietary response. My doctor wants a repeat of the malabsorption index at Enterolab because it was so high, to see if there is improvement. He didn't mention repeating the other tests. -
ARCHIVED Adding Healthier Flours To Baking

I've just started experimenting with buckwheat, which we are grinding ourselves. About three cups of this plus an egg and a little water makes homemade noodles that are wonderful. Taste a little like pasta with some whole wheat in it. We have also made "skins" with this for Chinese dumplings, and it worked okay. A little drier and thicker than what... -

Its fun reading this thread! Congrats on all the successes so far! I see that I am really getting behind having only ordered one kit, and two lip glosses previously (with the sample kit each time). I decided that with my usual clothing colors the light neutral was just a tad too yellowish on me, but the multi-task was a bit too pink to blend... -

Paula, glad you are getting all this feedback. Just one question that is probably the obvious: Have you eliminated gluten sources in personal care products? If not, it might be worth a try. Nyxie, I agree with Carla. I'd give it a try. Maybe he would do Igenex if the other lab is negative. LOL, that was the criticism of Bowen Labs where I had... -

Donna, LOL, yeah maybe some excitement, more like preparing myself to freak out!!! I am a little worried about it given that I have had a poor month, hope I can handle it. But I really want to give it a try before I see Dr. E and my LLMD next month. -

Good! If she finds it, that will be one more pointer...and I can discuss it with my LLMD on the 22nd. -

No chlorella unfortunately. I can't find it here. I'll take more charcoal I guess. -

Do you think Dr. E up in Bellevue will be able to check for the presence of bartonella? Does anyone know? -

I'll be heading out of town tomorrow and back to where I get the massages. I am a bit unsure after my last one after which I haven't yet felt good. It really stirred something up. I think I'll ask her to do the upper back, avoid the lower back for now, and do the abdomen and see what happens. Then I'll do the gua sha again. -

Yes, this is on my list to talk with my LLMD. I think I should have the testing, and then consider the treatment. However, if my liver enzymes don't improve, I am guessing I won't be able to treat with abx for awhile. I have treated for the babs and erlich...and haven't have the bart meds in my long list, so it does make sense. I'm going to see what... -

I just finished the video, wish I could see the whole thing. Some of the symptoms seem like a possibility though it isn't a dead ringer for me. Brain fog, yes. Along with the concentration, confusion and poor memory, however, I have had a lot of periods where this clears pretty much. When I have symptoms, I usually have this. Insomnia yes, better... -

Yes, sorry. I meant Paula should look into this and be sure she doesn't have lyme because it sounds very suspicious for lyme in my opinion given her other efforts haven't worked. Paula the insomnia fits the lyme picture as well. -

Paula, it sure seems like lyme should be clearly ruled out for you. Candida is something to consider, have you tried the anti-Candida diet for any length of time? Are you only gluten free? Or have you eliminated anything else that helps? -

Rachel that is fantastic! I did quite well with my dinner too, other than bloating. I am thankful to not have so much digestive distress as many of you do. Donna, good for you for starting already....I've got some apple pie here and it won't keep, so when it is gone probably today, I'll launch my reforms, LOL. -

Kristina, I am so sorry for what you went through. Somehow around the holidays families' expectations are pretty high and many don't take it well when we don't measure up. I imagine that part of it also is that your mother is worried about you and feels frustration that you are not getting answers. But to respond like that was very unhelpful and hurtful... -

Carla, I notice a huge difference with the ecoffee and colds. My doctor had mentioned it originally but I forgot he said that. Then over time I noticed how I could be coming down with one and the ecoffee just nipped it in the bud. Several experiences later, and even with full fledged colds, the symptoms improved....I was convinced. Then I remembered my... -

Does anybody know what the differences in the two forms of B12 injections might be? My doc sent two kinds, and I am to try each for three weeks. I started with the one Rachel is taking, methylcob, and now am trying Hydroxocobalamine. Could my recent symptoms have been not tolerating the methylcobalamine? I might be a little better since switching. -

Welcome Robin! Glad you jumped right in. Merry Christmas to all! I'm a day ahead of you all, but had a great traditional meal that was GFSFCF except the dinner rolls that the other had carefully. We had turkey which was a real treat, the first time in the 6 years I have been here. Felt a little better the last two days and am not going to... -

Robin with the mercury toxicity, I'd also check out lyme. There seems to be a high correlation there. Brian, I don't know about lyme with your symptoms, but it could be worth checking out. Not everyone, but in some people the lyme really attacks the gut. Also some lyme coinfections are more likely to hit the gut. When you check out your labs about...
