  1. By the way, I asked the massage lady today here what the bruised areas on my back (after the gua sha) indicated, and she said other then toxins in my system, it pointed to the lungs as a problem area. The bruised areas haven't totally cleared yet, but in a few days I'll do another time and see what happens.
  2. Jin, good to see you. Look forward to your update and sorry for all the rough days for you. I'm hanging in there, bad cold/flu going around here and my DH is down. I think I have it mildly so far is all. Humaworm going okay so far, I agree with the different color in the BM, and a little sleeping trouble. However, this comes and goes for me. It has...
  3. LOL! Yep. I take my PDA with me and read e-books with my e-coffee. And yes, I try to do it after a BM if possible. Be sure you get the right kind of bag. A little better quality "fountain" enema bag is much much easier than the other kind.
  4. My doctor's office uses a ball of cotton, then this no-glue self stick tape. It is very stretching tape, an 1-2 inches wide, she cuts a piece stretches it all around my arm and over the cotton ball she is holding on my arm, then it self sticks. No adhesive at all. Sherry
  5. Happy New year to everyone...the first day of 2008 is almost over here... I'm still doing okay but extremely busy, so exhausted and ready to fall into bed. Just trying to remember to take my meds and stuff, but am not doing too well yesterday and today on the diet, Donna and Kassandra. Had cookies and pie. It was probably not great to try to start yet...
  6. Just did a quick read to catch up, whew. I've got a full schedule right now its hard to stay up with this and OMG thread let alone the rest of the forum, lol! Here's what I need/want: one brand of skin care products and mascara that is fragrance free, low allergenic, and good quality. I had eye irritation for a long time with eye makeup until about...
  7. The original recipe from my doc also had a Tbsp of organic molasses in it. I don't use that though. I suspect it helped with loss of good minerals via the enema. My instructions said divide into two amounts, and hold each 10 minutes.
  8. Paula, I'm in China, and it is THE way to detox according to my Chinese friends. They do it only on your back. Put oil on (to make it less painful) and scrape with a very firm hand, using a edge. It's not a sharp edge like a knife, more rounded. It shouldn't take your skin off (you shouldn't bleed). Scrape all portions of the back a number of times...
  9. Quick note then I have to get to bed as it is late on this side of the pacific pond. I did the "gua sha" tonight, again. Along the inside of my shoulder blades, and just below that toward the middle of my back is where the strong color shows. In a nutshell, where it turns color is where it also hurts when she does it, and this corresponds to the areas...
  10. Good info, Rachel. Thanks.
  11. Hmmm, Carla, how soon after starting humaworm did you have symptoms? I am about 6 hours after the first dose and am getting some pretty strong pain in my upper back/shoulder/arm.
  12. Yes, the powder mess is a challenge. Since I travel a lot, I have a small zipped bag that is rectangular. The brushes and my mascara all fit in the lid in little pockets, all except the kabuki type brush I have. The two regular size containers I carry stack on top of each other, and the kabuki brush and the small containers fill up the rest, and it zips...
  13. Quick fly by...took my first dose of Humaworm this morning. Feeling okay so far. Donna, I am preparing myself to need ambien every night, LOL. So many things cause insomnia for me.
  14. I haven't noticed that the charcoal has this effect for me. I tend toward the big C. I think I wouldn't sacrifice the charcoal but would just add something else to assist with elimination. Unless you are able to use another good binder...
  15. Carla, that's why I am still doing them 7 years later! I have worked it down to twice a week during really good periods, but its been daily since the lyme re-flared for me this year. I am convinced it is what keeps me able to function as well as I do--in terms of the detox benefit.
  16. Hi all, I'll likely be not posting so much for awhile, I'm on a trip with a full schedule. Feeling better thankfully, though not as good as I wish. Humaworm should hopefully arrive tonight. I'll keep you posted on that at least. Sherry
  17. Hi, Lisa. I read about boiling prunes until they are nice and soft and how that helped them be more effective. Since dried prunes do nothing for me except give me gas, I decided to try. It did help a lot. I eat the softened ones and drink the juice from boiling them. So I wonder if that would work with your apricots. Sherry
  18. Suzie, good to have you posting a bit, I hope you'll just pop in and post your questions and watch for replies as you can, because it isn't easy to keep up with everyone here. No pressure at all to do so! I agree with the Vitamin C, and saline rinses or neti pot (spelling?). I want to add that I wonder if it is connected to toxins in your system and...
  19. I find it quite helpful, and discovered taking a larger amount is better. I take a prescription one, Lipram UL20 which is a stronger one, and I take two with meals. I feel better on the larger amount rather than just one with larger meals. Sherry
  20. Donna, LOL. I just did that a couple of days ago, I was trying to compare the foundations I had again, and mixing them etc. I had decided the one I was using was a bit too yellow and was not going as well with the colors I wear--which I know are better for me.
  21. Its hard to know. It really depends on how open she is. I wonder if you could pick out a few stories of people from here or lyme net that resemble her story. Tell her you are concerned about all she has been dealing with, especially since your own struggles have had you on such an up and down roller coaster. Say that you picked out some stories that...
  22. Yes Tom, I think a lot of these issues are related but not necessarily or in the same way in each person. Just like in the main forum we see symptoms posted about and different people sharing how one approach or another worked for them. It is amazing to read the variety of approaches and what works.

By off the charts do you mean high? Low? If you were taking synthroid I am guessing it is low. You might have your heavy metals tested, maybe something else is interfering.
  24. I do use one. What I do is thoroughly clean all the inside surfaces everywhere. I take a little brush and scrub really well all the little places. It isn't ideal, but it has been okay for me so far.
  25. I think beyond being an LLMD, I'd notice his attitude. He may have his opinions but does he listen to you? If things aren't working too well and you make a suggestion from your research, what's his attitude?
