  1. Its best to keep ahead of the fungal infections like candida, not to "feed" them. I'd cut back fruit if you can, but if that is all you can handle you may not be able to. My doc told me, one fruit a day, no sugar is best. Watching amount of carbs generally. After that, some folk also need to cut out moldy foods.
  2. Hooray, Kassandra! Glad things are moving along and you are better today. Started the abx yet?
  3. Mango, the plum dust lip gloss turned a bit orange on me too. The neutral lip gloss over my blush color does great though. I haven't tried the plum gloss over another color of powder.
  4. Susan, You mentioned cheeses, so maybe you missed that I am dairy free and soy free as well as gluten free. So I am not sure about your other suggestions? Everyone, Thanks for your suggestions. The Eden Organics--are they all GFSFDF or do you have to read labels? I am thinking about asking my DIL to buy some up ahead for me. That plus the...
  5. RPM, yes, a really good LLMD will screen for many things. Have you got one in mind that you hope to see?
  6. Hi, TS. I agree that trying some detox could help. Coffee enemas have really helped me, if you are willing to try that. Also, dry skin brushing could be very helpful. I don't sweat easily either. How long does your wiped out feeling last after a detox bath? After that, is it helpful at all? I wonder about doing this just with your feet as a foot...
  7. Pasta might be okay because I will likely have to buy my own collander anyway to use while I am home. Are there any prepared sauces that are GFCFSF? Would Marlene's have the Food for Life tortillas? That seems like a good option, making sandwiches and stuff. I like a lot of things, just trying to think of what would be easy to do, and without buying...
  8. I am re-entering the USA for 2 1/2 months in mid January. I'll be at my son's home for several days (gluten kitchen) then having to clean and set up the kitchen for myself in a new place (its furnished with food in it, so I will have to clean and sort carefully). So I need some ideas of what I can easily find in regular grocery stores, either have my...
  9. I think you are wrestling with what many of us deal with, we think we are celiac, but we don't have the gold standard positives for whatever reason. The reality is that the blood tests and biopsy are of limited value other than if they are positive--you definitely are. But negative with symptoms that respond to a diet--well, you fit into the area that is...
  10. I think I have had a low grade fever with a glutening. Haven't had enough experience with it to be sure. I also read about that elsewhere on this forum once.
  11. I think I'd wait, then you'll have a baseline.
  12. Rachel, Donna, so cool that you met! Yes, I think hugs are in order! I am quick to hug when I feel connected, but pretty shy when I am not.
  13. Nyoxie, great news about the appointment. I think if it were me I'd wait until the LLMD appointment, then proceed with the testing after that. You'll want to coordinate the treatments anyway, why not the testing when the wait isn't very long? Kassandra, you sound a bit depressed, hang in there. You have really come a long way. I don't know what to...
  14. Carla, I just read yesterday in Buhner's book that the acid blocker inhibit samento from working. It works better to take it with a glass of water with a teaspoon of lemon or apple cider vinegar, the books says.
  15. Mia, good to hear from you and it sounds like you are making progress, that is great. Be sure you have your binders like charcoal or whatever when you start the levaquin. Yes, I think it stirred things up. She had used more strength that time. My lower back was tender but actually felt better after she was working on it. I think it stirred up either...
  16. Well, quick update. I finally seem to be through my flare/herx or whatever, today was the first day I felt more myself since the 7th. There still mild achiness in my back, but otherwise I feel okay. Hope that now I'll be fine for awhile! At least I do fairly okay with eating stuff, not like a lot of you. My doctor said I can take zith. daily, but...
  17. Cool! Good for you, Rachel and Donna!
  18. Kassandra, the weight loss is disconcerting, but okay if you aren't too thin already. I think the coconut is a good idea. Can you add nuts to your smoothie or make your own nut milk? Would you handle a custard, made with eggs and coconut milk or a milk substitute you tolerate? What about jello? Making your own with gelatin? The gelatin has protein...
  19. I notice that the Bowen Labs test is no longer available. I wonder if I should have other testing done, especially for the co-infections. I wonder if any lab tests for which strain of borrelia you have? I wonder what tests I should ask for, I have had positives from Bowen on borrelia, babesia, erlichia. Maybe a CD57, and another co-infection test? ...
  20. Another question about lyme testing. At this point in treatment, what do you all think I should seek as far as testing? Via Bowen labs, I tested positive to borrelia, babesia, erlichia. A repeat test later on showed borrelia and babs, I think. Is there any point to doing Igenex? I wonder if I might have some other things and what the best test would...
  21. Kassandra, I read that is a symptom of one of the bugs of lyme, babesia I think???
  22. My LLMD did a lot of testing. He could have done more, LOL, like for celiac. He apologized to me for that one!
  23. I can't use anything with an orange tinge, needs very blue pink tones. I am using the light neutral foundation which is great on me. I have the following blushes: Jump rope soft touch best friends nick nack I can use all of them, but the soft touch is very light pink. Best friend is a nice plum but too dark--its great mixed with foundation though...
  24. "Some of the Chinese herbs that have anti-spirochete action are: Smilax, Oldenlandia, Artemesia, Andrographis, Japanese Pokeweed(Poygonum cuspaditum)" Julie, I have looked here for andrographis and can't find it, which is strange I think. I am taking polygonum cuspadium which is also known as resveratrol and Japanese knotwood, and taking samento. So...
  25. Thanks for the info, Donna on the bioset, asyra, art, etc. I am getting a much better picture of it all, and I think I had a simplified form of the bioset it sounds like. I think it is worth trying this approach, especially as all of you have benefited. The Chinese use ginger for colds/cough. Boil a number of slices of ginger in water with rock sugar...
