  1. Yes I think you are right. I was hoping that the missing link was the celiac. Maybe it is part of it, but definitely there is still something not working right. If Amy has a waiting list, that doesn't sound very hopeful for me, since I only have the 2 month window of time. The other big concern for me is financial. I'd appreciate some ideas of what...
  2. Jin, I am sure I saw pieces of tapeworm after the pineapple diet I did, and I am not stick-thin at all. The buckwheat "jiodz) were great! The consistency of the skin was firmer, and more like a whole wheat flavor. She just made them with water, buckwheat flour and a little xanthan gum.
  3. I have mixed several of them, worked fine. On my lips, I put the dry color on first then cover it with the neutral lip gloss. Seems to work well. BTW, I first saw the link on this site several months ago, embedded in another topic on makeup. Kudos to the poster who made this a new hit topic! LOL! Also, they pretty regularly have discount specials...
  4. Julie that sounds horrible. Do you have any idea what caused it? I am still struggling with back ache, a week now. Am checking out the Cowden protocal and reading more in my Buhner to see what I might be able to try if I can't use abx anymore.
  5. Had some homemade noodles today, made from buckwheat flour that we ground ourselves. They were really marvelous. Tasted very like gluten pasta with a bit of whole wheat in it. Maybe it was because the flour was freshly ground. My cook just mixed the ground flour with water, as we only had a little bit. We'll try adding egg next time and make a bit...
  6. Hi Jin, glad to read you column again! I am getting around much much better today into my third day of abx for the week. So, I am pretty sure that I am actually going through a lyme symptom recurrence; it may have been triggered by the massage during my menstrual period (a no no according to my Chinese friends), and maybe I have back strain from...
  7. me too. Guess 7 years of meds has finally taken its toll.
  8. Yes and yes. H pylori testing was done by my LLMD and I have to stop the meds due to elevated liver enzymes.
  9. Welcome Tantwan. I wonder about B12?
  10. Quick update, I have to stop Lamisil and Flagyl for at least a month.
  11. Thanks, I should have said I have decreased appetite. Which is annoying but ok as I can still lose some weight.
  12. Anyone taking NAG and/or GLA? Did it impact your appetite?
  13. Hey everyone. I am still mostly down with back strain but it seems better after two days back on abx. Bad news is my liver enzymes are still elevated. I have emailed my doctor with the scanned results, I am afraid that I will have to drop the antifungal. So, no sugar and starch for me for Christmas! Lisa, I am sorry you are still having pain and...
  14. I agree with other posters that the response may not be clear. If you allergic to wheat, this would likely work. With celiac the response is different. My reactions to gluten seem to take several days, but allergic reactions to food happen right away.
  15. I agree with the good advice already offered. Here's a few other thoughts: You might consider whether you have parasites. A few others on the forum have used a product called Humaworm. I haven't got that as yet, but tried a three day diet of pineapple, plus garlic and pumpkin seeds. I saw enough to convince me clearly that I need to do a full treatment...
  16. Sarah, great news about your mom!! Jin, that's just super about your visit with your grandmother. I also can't wait to hear about your Igenex results and your appointment.
  17. Kassandra, Yay on the successful iron IV!! Hope it helps you feel better. I think you should insist on the LLMD appointment. Tell your Mom that you can still ultimately evaluate what the LLMD tells you, and seek other opinions. But to ignore him may be at your peril if all of this is due to lyme disease. LOL, I'd tell her I'd be willing to go...
  18. Glad you might have some beginning of answers. Doesn't sound like pancreatitis, as the enzymes would go way up with that. I think I have read about low pancreatic enzymes being connected to other things, maybe celiac, maybe something else. I take pancreatic enzymes with every meal, and it helps. I'd still wonder what is behind this??
  19. Kristina, you are surely not alone in your frustration. I think in the USA we get used to the idea that somehow we have the best of the best in terms of medicine and that science has the answers. My undergrad was in nursing and I certainly was in that pattern of thinking too. That is, until I faced such physical difficulties for which there seemed to be...
  20. Andrea, yes, I have the same thought but need to check the liver enzymes before I call the doctor. Meanwhile I need to get back on the garlic...I stopped during my last trip, just too busy for one more thing.
  21. Wow! Mind if I ask what labs you had the tests through? I had positives via Bowen in 2000. Wondering if I should ask my doc to pursue more testing when I get to the USA, and what. I was positive for borrelia, babesia, and ehrlichia. I think I have had it done twice, seems like second time only 2 of them were positive. I struggled for a long time pre...
  22. Yeah, Carla. What worries me is that I have cut my abx to 4 days a week for 6 weeks now...due to the elevated liver enzymes. This just may not be enough. This back pain started last Thursday, wasn't bad until Friday, and my three days off abx are Sat, Sun, Mon. Today is flagyl and zithromycin, so I'll see what response I get. I'm due to do liver enzymes...
  23. Thanks so much for sharing that! Congratulations on your progress. Can you remind me of what you are dealing with? Are you both celiac and a lymie?
  24. Okay, this back problem is interesting. It definitely improves after ecoffee, then gets a lot worse in the middle of the night (peak time for detoxing). So I wonder if the injury from the massage is the focus of something else?
  25. Yes, you can have false negative blood tests, they are quite common. Being gluten-free even for that short time will effect it. You have a firm DH diagnosis, that is all you need. You are celiac and are one of us!
