ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
mftnchn replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Okay an update as I started my third day of pineapple: I've had a mild fatigue with this, and a flushed feeling which was worse the first day, and better the second. I've so far not seen anymore gross things so am not quite so anxious when I go to the BR. I didn't realize how freaked out I was until I realized I was having "post traumatic stress!" I am... -

I'll be interested to see if the Humaworm makes a difference to the candida treatment. Birdy, I forget whether it was you or April that mentioned that your mercury levels all test normal? Rachel has posted scientificness about that, the mercury doesn't always show up in the testing. Rachel has a high mercury level which she thinks is her main problem... -

Carla, your energy level is AWESOME! I hope that soon that is the case all the time. Having a great LLMD sure makes all the difference in the world. I can totally relate to what you are saying about the symptoms becoming annoying. And then discouraging when they persist for awhile--when you thought you had the answer and were on top of it. Kassandra... -

Welcome, April! Birdy, I tend to run a low BP, so the licorice shouldn't hurt. I do like the taste! -

Kassandra, getting hot and sweaty for awhile seems to be a regular reaction for me from the epsom salts, I think it supposed to make you sweat. Glad it made you better. That and the charcoal should help. Glad you are feeling better!! Don't get discouraged if the improvement doesn't hold after you stop abx, if you have lyme, this short treatment won't... -
ARCHIVED Symptoms Despite Clear Tests
mftnchn replied to MissyMouse's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes you could definitely have celiac and it not have been picked up. While you are still eating gluten you could try getting the blood tests (there are 5, referred to elsewhere on this site). Also you mention an endoscopy but not a biopsy. Celiac is often only visible at the microscopic level. Finally, the testing really only picks it up after there... -

Welcome Nyxie! Glad you posted. Are you also doing the gluten-free diet, or just wheat free? -

Kassandra, that isn't great to hear about the skin itching. Are you pushing the water, and taking charcoal in between? -

Andrea, maybe the pumpkin seed plus laxative would be better, as it expels them live...at least some of them. I can't find info about what actually happens when they die re the mercury. -

yes, I wonder what the amount of problem would be with the mercury release? -

I didn't notice about whether you take it with food or without. I've followed with a little food sometimes, to help with the taste in my mouth. I figure by itself might be more impactful when it gets to the intestines. It seems from what I read any laxative is fine. Castor oil was suggested several places. I just picked out the licorice from the list... -

Andrea, by the way, I forget what items your family can and cannot eat, but I wonder if you have tried finding anything at the Chinese markets in Portland, and whether it is cheaper. There's probably some in Vancouver too, but I haven't looked. If not, when I get home I'll be checking them out and can let you know what I find. I can read the Chinese... -

Andrea, that sounds like it could work. Can you add charcoal? Re Seth, you might just have to do a trial. Does he have a longer period of time in the day where he doesn't nurse? Maybe you could figure out how to time it so he would be less bothered? I found the pumpkin seeds whirled in water in the blender quite palatable, tasted like sunflower seeds... -

Ok, the garlic is definitely working, saw the first long gross thing this morning. ..and I had barely taken the pumpkin seeds and pineapple so it couldn't have been that. Yuk, probably more to come, but I am looking forward to the possible benefits!! -
Welcome writerspice. I have also had some signs of improvement, then got worse. For me it has been a number of things. Stopping use of gluten containing personal products helped. Starting l-glutamine to help with the gut healing has helped. Are you also milk-free? If you are celiac, many many cannot tolerate milk, at least early on in the healing...

Yes, LOL. There is very little secret from her--she sees into all the nooks and crannies of our lives! Carla---yep the humaworm would be easier, just hard to get for me now. Thought I'd try this--might relieve some of the parasitic load at least. Birdy, sorry it wasn't so pleasant, but way to go for standing up for your own wellness and treatment... -

Yeah, fresh. You can buy garlic preparations, but of course the fresh will be cheaper. The taste stays with you for awhile, even just gulping it down like I do! -

Here's what I did for rolls, I promised the recipe above: 2 cups gluten-free flour mix (I use a combo of rice flour, potato starch and tapioca flour) 1 cup sorghum flour 1 cup tapioca flour 1/2 cup Parmisan cheese ( I left this out because I can -

Okay, I'm going to do a little experiment re this worm thing. Besides the garlic, I am going to try a big dose of ground up pumpkin seeds (very common here), 60-120 gram in water. And then I am going to try three days of just eating pineapple primarily, with just some more pumpkin seeds and some figs perhaps. I figure this can't hurt me any. This... -

Kassandra, I forgot to say that hives sounds more like an allergic reaction to me. -
Since Christmas dinner is on the horizon, I thought it'd be helpful to post some of the new successes we have had during Thanksgiving. Here's mine: Dinner rolls: By accident we discovered the pizza dough we were using made good dinner rolls. It is too soft to form into shapes, so we put the dough into silicon muffin cups. They came out shaped very...

Carla, LOL....nobody's offered to make my e-coffee! But I agree, its like night and day without it, and I still do it daily too at least since the lyme recurrence earlier this year. Sometimes when I really am symptomatic, after the e-coffee I really feel light-headed and spacy, even tingly all over, then it passes and I feel much better and clearer. ...
