I've never heard of them, what are they?!
-
I too eat Fruity and Cocoa pebbles with no ill effects. They are gluten free per the ingredients list

I had a diagnosis but that's only because Celiac Disease wasn't as commonly know about as it is now. If going on a gluten free diet helps you feel better and be symptom free, I wouldn't need a doctor's diagnosis to feel healthy!! If making changes to your lifestyle helps, then I say go for it!

The chili was terrible, I thought........but the chicken noodle soup was fantastic. I had it yesterday as well to warm up after being stuck out in the cold for work for a few hours and it really brought me back to the days when I was a kid and mom made it! I just wished the bowl was bigger!

I understand that trusting a non-celiac might be hard sometimes but trusting a head nutritionist from a decently large company shouldn't be.
-
I use the heiz chili sauce as well, I've called the company and they said yes and its on their list online!

I've actually eaten there several times with no issues. Outside of two sauces which both contained soy sauce all the sauces were gluten free. I was also told the wings and the fries were cooked in dedicated fryers, obviously check with your local one but their menu lists allergins as well. Potato ROUNDS (there's another kind of potato, so make sure its the rounds) are also gluten free. I get the naked wings and the honey bbq sauce on the side.
Obviously, like with any restaurant, you have to be aware of the possibility of cross contamination but some places are more accommodating than others

I stopped eating Amy's after my first year with the disease (I'm on year 6)...it never failed that every time I ate it I'd get sick. While I appreciate their effort to be "gluten-free"...it still makes me wonder what it is making so many people still sick!
-
I don't know what they'd add to make it not gluten free. Most of the time ground meat is just ground meat (if it's like 95% lean and above). The natural flavorings are most likely just that, natural ground turkey flavoring...I'm sure you're fine!

I know that my cramps are a lot worse during my period now then they ever were before going gluten free 6 years ago! Your body changes so I'm sure it plays some part
-
the chips are gluten free.

I'm on brand name Yasmin. I didn't take the generic because they wouldn't confirm that its Gluten free....They assured me it was the same as well, however, Yasmin would confirm gluten free and Ocella wouldn't...so I pay more for the Yasmin

I pee ALL the time...its ridiculous. I've been to doctors to see if there is an underlying problem but the only thing they can think of is that it must be connected to celiac disease!
-
I used to see these mixes everywhere......now, I can't seem to find ANY. Does anyone know what the deal with that is?
-
This is old news. People say that there is a CC issue with Blue Diamond rice crackers, however, they're supported by the Celiac Disease Foundation, which if they weren't considered gluten free, they wouldn't have that stamp of approval on it. I know these bother some people...but they've always helped me out when I needed a quick fix!

um. i wasn't trying to be rude. i obviously didn't know you joined when you were 18.

This confuses me. I understand the difficulties of being deployed while being a celiac...but you joined the military to fight for this country. Wouldn't you have been away that you might deploy when you joined? It makes me sad thinking people who serve in our army don't want to be there. As the daughter of a lifer in the army, I just don't understand it, however, if you really don't feel that you can deploy and be healthy, to the best of my knowledge you can file for a medical waiver. Its a messy process but you can do it. You can also get a medical discharge if you don't feel yourself fit to perform the duties of the job. Best of luck with everything!! And thank you for protecting this country!

I've tried gluten free oats at least 4 times and regretted it every time........i don't think i'll go for a fifth. unfortunately, you might just have to say goodbye to the oats!!
-
I highly doubt they'll drop anything gluten free. There is no plan for Snyder's to discontinue Utz as a brand or change any of their production line. Snyder's is simply growing when Utz was struggling. I have it from good sources that little to nothing will change except with the higher ups of the company.

I've always been too scared to eat at Panera Bread, something with the Bread in the title or something? I'm excited to give it a shot!!
-
McDonald's is a tricky beast......I think most folks choose to stay away from there because of the gluten free items being questionable. I don't know a definite answer about the grilled chicken but I'd stick to Wendy's or Chick-Fil-A or something.

Traders Joe's goes out of their way for folks with celiac disease.......I wish people with gluten issues were more understanding and appreciative of anyone's steps for going gluten free. I'm sensitive as well, very much so, however....sometimes I think we forget that some things just don't agree with your belly that have nothing to do with gluten!! Maybe you have issues with something else in their soup...I can't have onions, which has nothing to do with being gluten free. I understand its frustrating when you get sick and you aren't sure why, but please let's try not to be so quick in throwing good companies under the bus (i.e. the title line being TRADER JOE'S NOT GLUTEN FREE). Hopefully you're feeling better.
