  1. Susie, excellent nun joke. I was looking for Jin's magic hair post but couldn't find it. Just a warning Jin, keep an eye on that hair . . . don't let it evolve into
  2. OK, now that I'm back, I will share some of my son's photos. I wanted to wait until we got back so none of them would be up for too long. Here is one that makes me think he was auditioning for the Blair Witch Project I happened to sit with a "talker" on the plane yesterday. (You never know how those are going to turn out.) Fortunately for...
  3. Hallloooooo Sillies!! I just flew in and boy are my . . . Spent a bit of time catching up on my reading. Missed a couple of good posts that I would have liked to have jumped in on . . . may be too late . . . or maybe I'm just too tired right now. Can't let this one go tho' Woodly? OK, Woodly it is!! So in addition to the accupuncturist...
  4. And it has happened yet again!!! Nikkitty - your av is TOO cute!
  5. Yes, I am still checking in from time to time today but trying to stay away from the computer. Sometimes I lose big chunks of time when I'm on here with no recollection of how it happened. OK, Tater Queen, Scratch Kitchen, Susie the Tater Tot . . . got it! I believe the fish-slapping was going to come from this particualr thread, not the...
  6. Good Morning Sillies! I was going to come up with a really witty post to leave you with but I honostly don't have time. I am headed out on a lovely holiday (or vacation to all you American blokes) with the girls. This time tommorrow, I'll be on a plane to Hilton Head, SC. No kids, No husbands, lots of sand, sun, and overpriced slushy drinks. Today...
  7. Ohiodad - you're in information overload right now - it gets better, I promise. Changing pots and pans may not be necessary . . . it's the scratched up nonstick/teflon coated pans that mftnchn was talking about. The whole family does not have to go gluten free. You just need to be aware and take precautions against crosscontamination. You should have...
  8. I bought the Thermos brand wide mouth food jar (10 ounce size, I think). I bought the Target brand first and it was a total waste of money - didn't keep the food warm. The Thermos brand works GREAT! Now, once a week, I send pasta. I use the Kraft Mac&Cheese powdered cheese from the blue shaker can and make it into mac&cheese but you could do...
  9. Hi Jin, espeSHELLY, That would really be helpful . . . maybe more states should do that . . . and you know, eventually, there would be at least one criminal that would do it.
  10. My daughter was about 44 pounds. The doctor figured her dose should be 14g (full dose is 17g). I don't weigh it everytime, but I'm figuring I'm giving her approx 10g - just barely over half. I have given my daughter poop lessons. She now tells me when she goes and if its the good kind (formed and soft) or the bad kind (small and hard). Every so often...
  11. Me too . . . plus, I don't like the way they portray Callie as coming across weak and needy both at her job and her marriage. She didn't start off that way. Also agree with waaaay too many interns. I think they have got to get rid of some/most of them . . . they are cluttering up the set. Sorry, BB, hope your friend makes the cut that...
  12. Does anyone know the shortcut for the green guy emoticon that you can select when you post? I would like to be able to include him in the body of my posts. He doesn't show up in the "Show All". Thanks for you help.
  13. LouDeeChris!!! . . . . . SooZee, how are you doing today? Can you crawl to the computer to reply? Do you need a bucket? Or have you decided to paint all the rooms and steam clean the carpets?
  14. Thanks, thanks, thanks. I actually got a PM from someone complimenting me on that one. I PM'd her back and told her it was my son's work. She said he was a natural. So, I'll throw some of his other work in once in a while and you guys can be the judge when you see the pictures of the trash bin in our minivan, the out of focus orange "that looks soooo...
  15. I do so love Monty Python. Dad used to watch it every week way back when there was only one TV in a house and you had to watch whatever Dad wanted to watch . . . guess his appreciation rubbed off. Susie, don't let this happen to you . . . Open Original Shared Link More Monty Python - It's gross - Will that make you watch it? May Offend?
  16. Susie, Susie, Susie . . . <shaking head> Time Out for you, young lady. Now you just sit there and think about what you've done! Good thing the dingos don't have opposable thumbs or they'd be smackin' you across the nose with a newspaper. Seriously though - I hope it's not too rough. And next time . . . hey, hey, hey, that was a trick. There...
  17. Heigh Tomn - Gould two sea yew! Nothing like a post from Tom to bring my speed-reading to a screaching halt. I KNOW . . . they are definitely going to have to weed a few of those out!
  18. I'm going to consolidate what Patti and Lisa both said. . . your primary care physician can order the tests and is your best bet for getting the ball rolling sooner than later. If your blood test comes back positive, then you'll need a GI because the next step is an endoscopy. If you've had problems for 10 years, you may already have a GI and he may just...
  19. Hey, maybe they are going throw lyme disease in as one of the subplots for Izzie or one of the new interns. They can spend the whole season trying to diagnose it.
  20. Oh that is HeLarryUs! (confirmed *snigger* and *snort*) It would have been more realistic if the deer had jumped up, darted out into traffic and got hit by a car . . . AGAIN!
  21. Almost makes it mandatory to watch when you use a phrase like that . . . we all have to go check to see if we are offended! You are going to have to try harder if you want to offend me . . . Sounds cute . . . but are you sure he hasn't found a new litter box?
  22. Those were excellent, Nikki This one just amazes me. Whenever we have gone camping, it seems like the goal is to get the fire big enough and hot enough to melt things (beer cans and bottles mostly). Heaven forbid you might have extra firewood left that you could leave behind for the next group/family. You've got to pile it all on and burn...
  23. Well Done!! (Or is it medium rare?)
  24. My daughter is on it and has been most of the time since May. The doctor loves it because you don't become dependant on it. My doc preferred it to be given with apple juice because something about it helped attract or retain water in the bowel to keep the bm soft. I have known several families that have used it - none of them for Celiac reasons. Two...
  25. Me too!! Me too!! Just got it a couple of hours ago at BB&B (20% off). I won't get to try it for a while - we got some travel plans that we are dealing with right now. My son just asked earlier if donuts (in the grocery store flyer) were gluten free and gave me the "Aaaawwwww Man" when I said no. So I'm looking forward to surprising him.
