  1. You're right about the selection of products. I shop Vitamin Cottage in Monument and just saw the graham crackers last week. I believe they had butter in them, so I cannot eat them without discomfort. Vitamin Cottage seems to have much lower prices on gluten free foods than Whole Foods and Wild Oats.
  2. My blood tests came back negative for H.Pylori and Celiac........but.......I did not know I wasn't supposed to stop gluten before having the tests done, until 1 day before the test. So, that may have altered the results. I've been well since staying gluten free. There's no way that I ever want to introduce gluten into my diet again to have additional tests...
  3. I like their Italian flavored croutons and their apple pie. There's a little too much cinnamon in their apple pie, but it is so delicious I will always purchase it. Their graham crackers look good, but they have dairy in them,so I have to pass on them.
  4. Thanks for the information and links. Since I've already purchased and opened the product, I will keep it for "episodes" and see if it helps. I'm still new to this health problem. Several weeks ago I took some chicken breast strips out of the freezer...they were not in the original packaging. Put them in soup, and was sick for 8 days. Found out they were...

You're not alone. I've looked about 4 months pregnant for the past 40 years!! I've always been very slender, so weight gain was not the problem. I developed lactose intolerance many years ago, and now have other undiagnosed digestive problems. I have started taking Probiotic acidophilus with bifidus, and it has made a great difference. Going lactose and gluten...
  6. Has anyone tried the product GlutenEase manufactured for Enzymedica,Inc? www.enzymedica.com I just discovered this product in the local natural food grocer and purchased it. It's worth a try....I would love to be able to have a Subway sub every other week or so, or go out to eat with family every once in a while. I'm lactose intolerant and have discovered...
  7. Great information. Wal-Mart's Great Value corn chips taste pretty good and are clearly marked gluten free. I have noticed that some WM's do not carry their own brand of corn chips for some reason,so they may not be available at your local store.
  8. Would anyone have a really good gluten-free beer batter recipe that I can use for fried shrimp, onion rings? I have purchased the Redbridge beer, and really like it!! Have only been cooking gluten-free for about a month, and miss the fried shrimp.
  9. I'm new to the forum and haven't been able to read as much as I would like to, but I'm sure glad you have mentioned neurological symptoms. Two months ago I became very ill, indigestion, constipation, stabbing, burning, tingling, throbbing pains in my abdomen 24 hours a day, sometimes the pain was so severe I could not walk. I had spent some time in Mexico,...
  10. Gastroenterology Associates in Colorado Springs has 6 or 7 doctors on their staff. I'm retired and travel the U.S. in a motor home.....became very ill while in Arizona for the winter. Since I spend the summer near Colorado Springs, I made an appointment with G.A. and on the first office visit it was suggested that I may be gluten-intolerant. I'm still waiting...
  11. No, you didn't forget to mention it....I'm brand new here and thought it was your first post. I'm slowly learning how to use the forum. I'm also contacting companies and asking about their products. I never realized Celiac was so common!! I think I read somewhere that in 2008 the FDA requires gluten to be listed on products. My gastroenterologist told me...
  12. I've been lactose intolerant for 30 years, and the past 3 months have been very ill. I am still waiting for gluten intolerance tests to be returned. I do not have insurance, and waited until I was in so much pain that I had to go to the emergency room. No diagnosis was made, and I was referred to a gastroenterologist. Had to wait three weeks for an appointment...
  13. I've had lactose intolerance for 32 years, and also have just been diagnosed with celiac...have a lot to learn. Slim Fast has a new easy to digest product available that is lactose and gluten free. It doesn't seem to have soy in it, for those who might find soy a problem. Pacific Foods has a lactose/gluten free beverage that also does not have soy in it...
