  1. My Mother had no trouble conceiving two children. I don't see why it would be harder for you to have another child after going gluten-free unless it would be un-related to Celiac Disease. Most stories I have heard were about people having trouble before going gluten-free. I don't know though.
  2. I did a short presentation on it, too, for a class.
  3. Celiac Disease is something you have had all your life. It's just that you had no symptoms and then they were "triggerd".
  4. Your daughters are 15 and old enough to know what they are doing. They can get gluten anywhere. My borther is 19 and will cheat on his diet. Some people don't care abut hurting themselves but this doesn't mean they won't always not care. They might just be going through a phase and do you really know how often and in what ammounts they are having? I...
  5. Some Celiacs do look sick but a lot don't.
  6. I wondered the same thing and just figured they bought those chips and didn't make them fresh. Our group leader spoke with them specifically on the french fries question to make sure that we would be safe. I even took an order home to eat! I live north of Atlanta and it usually takes me (and whoever is with me) about an hour to get to most of the restaurants...
  7. I ate there a few years ago. My food was yummie and my Father enjoyed his gluten meal, too.
  8. I went with a Celiac group to their Atlanta location the other night and we had a fabulous time. They have a gluten-free menu and about 15 of us went. Our waitress was more than helpful with what we could and couldn't have. My Brother, and Mother (both Celiacs, too), and my brothers friend, Jason, were there, too. My Brother and Jason both had gluten...
  9. On the drink note, I usually bring water with me everywhere and my friends have learned that they have to "birdie" drink (pouring without letting the water bottle touch them) if they want some. I have only had to mention it once and it's worked out well.
  10. Open Original Shared Link might be of intrest to some of you. They are new and I was checking outthe site some. They have a what looks to be a very good "Gluten Free Gazette." Oh, I just noticed to be a member you ahve to pay $28 a year. I don't like that. They still have a gluten-free on-line store, though. You don't have to be a memeber...
  11. I saw that ages ago and there is something not right abut that. I can't remember but I am looking for the thread. If you want great gluten-free pizza in New York City go to Risotteria. I think she uses spelt and that's not really gluten-free.
  12. When you e-mail them they send you a PDF file of their gluten-free products.
  13. I am a vegetarian, too! You can find lots of things to eat if you look.
  14. What has helped me is going to a therapist. That's nerve racking in itsdelf but helped me so much! Plus, you can switch them until you find someone who fits with you. I don't know why it helps but it helped me know that I am not crazy and that it's okay to feel the way I do. I think that would help you the most even though it will be so hard to start...
  15. My doctor told me to give up everything that made me sick and to slowly re-introduce it. That worked well on everything but dairy.
  16. Some of you guys might find this site helpful for you or your kids, Open Original Shared Link. It has personal stories, advice, and how to take precautions for a variety of things.
  17. You should try vegan recipes because they can be done gluten-free and are always dairy-free. I have had lots of good things! You can still make cupcakes, brownies, and pizza. I am personally am fine without having cheese on my pizza and use a vegan recipe for the crust. If you really want the food just try and try and try making it yourself until you...
  18. I am the opposite, waw.
  19. You can use your browser settings to make texts on websites bigger. On internet explorer go to "View" and you'll see the option.
  20. Thank you for that link, Tiffany.
  21. My Mother needs to eat more foods rich in potassium. What should she be trying? Thanks.
  22. "As such, it is not beyond the realm of possiblities to view it as a public service; alerting others to such a disease (or any disease) which may cause a parent to harm their child(ren) --deserves commendation rather than condemnation." That is just one thing that people on the HOUSE message board are saying. I know this poster is not the only one thinking...
  23. You don't need to have the biopsy if the diet works for you. This site will help you so much especially since there isn't a support group for you to to. I went to therapy and that helped a lot, so, you could try that, too. It is so stressful to have all this thrown at you, even though it makes sense. After awhile the diet becomes natural. Good luck!...
  24. I have been watching House the past few weeks and I thought they would do something with someone in extreme weight loss or have it as a minor plot to one of the main characters. The show is good but I am still disappointed.
  25. They could of had it like we thought and had a main character have Celiacs. That way they could have done it not so extreme. They didn't even do just straight Celiacs but mixed in other things. I just don't want someone to say, "oh, I saw that on house. Do you hear voices right now?"
