    This is probably a dumb question, but what the heck, I'm honest Is maple sugar candy safe to eat? Isn't it just made of pure maple sugar? My mom got me some in Vermont and it says it is fresh made and not cystallized (I assume that meant to say crystallized?). I hope it's good - I can't wait to eat it! -donna

    I looked some up online today too. It's a little cheaper ($9.00), but $5 shipping - eek! Maybe a health-food store, a big one like Bread and Circus or Trader Joes. Not convenient for me though - would take up the whole afternoon to drive up there to save a couple of bucks.

    I have the same problem. Last summer I literally stood at the refrigerator and just stuffed my face but still felt hungry. I even lost weight during that time - 10 pounds in less than 2 weeks before I ended up in the hospital. It wasn't so much that my stomach wasn't full, but that I still felt weak and shakey. I have hypoglycemia, so I attribute shakiness...

    All Act II popcorn is also gluten-free. don't know if you have it in your area though. The Celiac Sprue Association's gluten free product listing is another good reference for the names of manufacturers of gluten-free products. It lists the popcorns and all sorts of things from A-Z. -donna

    I agree, it does sound like passing the buck. I've been using Pantene for a few weeks now and I've not had a problem. No more Neutrogena for me! I'm fairly certain Pantene IS okay since I seem to be really sensitive now and I have no problem with it. thanks for telling me! -donna

    I have many Neutrogena products (shampoos, facial soaps and makeups, etc.) in my CSA product lising. I bought several when I started the diet. Since I've been on the diet, the shampoo had caused me a lot of itchiness and dandruff, and the facial soap has caused me those aweful blisters all over my face. At first I thought it was just acne.     I've had the problem too, but I never attributed it to gluten. I've been extra-vigilant on the diet and I still find my bowels very loose at that time. I've always thought it was due to the muscle contractions associated with menstruation, as they are loosest at the beginning when I've got cramps too. In fact, I notice it as soon as the mild cramps...

    Burdee, I never had horizontal ridges, but I did have a "fungus" problem, which I'm not sure was really fungus. I wonder if it had something to do with the Celiac b/c, after only about 2 months on the diet, thanks to you, I've noticed that all of the "fungus" or whatever it was, is gone now! I've had that problem for YEARS! I'm SOOO glad to see it go...

    Thanks Lisa, I'll call them on Monday. There is something wrong with the Neutrogena for me - I can't use it. Neutrogena also put out a statement that they don't guarantee their products are gluten-free any more and to use with caution. Since they give me a reaction - I don't use them anymore. Guess I'm stuck with Toms (yuck! - smelly!) ...
