  1. Nestle hot chocolate is gluten-free.
  2. HI! I saw someone mention LiquidMins to help balance PH and thought I'd address my question in a new thread. Are they sold over the counter? Inexpensive? Are they multivitamins in liquid form? Thanks! -donna
  3. I've been using Nature's Gate Herbal Hair Shampoo. I've used Pantene also and had no problems. I also have a frangrance free hypo-allergenic shampoo by AURA. AURA also has a leave-in conditioner that is gluten-free and an alcohol-free (and gluten-free) styling gel. I've also heard the Fructis is gluten-free. I have some in the linen closet, but haven...
  4. Hi! Does anyone know if McCormick's Pure Orange Extract is gluten free? Thank you! -donna
  5. Wow! That is quite a list! Thanks!
  6. I hope anyone can shed some light on a few items: I have a can of Veg-all to make a hamburg soup with, but there is no phone # on it. Just curious if anyone knows if it's gluten-free. Also, it looks to me like Spam is gluten-free. (yes, I'd probably eat it - i'm trying to gain weight ) Anyone know for sure? And finally, I live in New England...
  7. Tinkyada me five! I particularly love the spinach spaghetti and the tri-colored pasta. I can still tell the regular brown-rice pasta is different, but the vegetable ones taste exactly the same to me -donna
  8. Richard, Thanks for a great explanation on the chicken and fresh turkey. Like I said, I'm new to the whole turkey thing as a Celiac, and I've never even cooked a turkey myself anyway, so I'd have no clue about the fresh vs frozen issue. Unfortunately, being new to this diet, I've had to rely on what I've 'heard'. I wasn't saying I didn't believe...
  9. I'm pretty new to the turkey thing. this is my first thanksgiving on the diet, so I don't know if all self-basting turkeys are glutened or not. For the record, my mom cancelled her order for the fresh Butterball (since it's Saturday, and we can't even call them to find out about the fresh Butterballs), and found a Shadybrook Farms turkey that said GLUTEN...
  10. Also, the Butterball comment only specifies FROZEN turkeys. What about fresh? My mom ordered a fresh one. -donna
  11. I'm just as perplexed as you, Deb. The CSA gluten-free listing only lists some kosher turkey breast as gluten-free. No WHOLE turkeys at all. I just assumed that NONE of them were gluten-free. I had heard that the Butterball turkeys DID have gluten (not the stuffed ones either). Why do you think they have to list wheat, barley, rye or oats on...
  12. oooooh, are you serious ? Smuckers caramel on ice cream is gluten-free? That is VERY good to know! I don't know about plain, gluten-free caramel, but snickers (the original ones) candy bars are gluten-free, and very very yummy
  13. Yep, I second the Kinnickinnick (sp?). And the pizza crust is the best I've ever had (next to Papa Ginos of course ). I find the bread a little waxy though, and don't care to eat it on a regular basis. Don't know if I ever tried toasting it. As for EnerG Tapioca loaf? I have a TOASTED slice, every single day. I keep it in the freezer (I know it...
  14. I am extremely sensitive to gluten and have no problem with the 'low gluten' hosts I get for mass. The ppm are so small that it is deemed safe for celiacs. Everyone gets some gluten into there system throughout the day. It's in the air you breath just from going into a grocery store. There is a 'safe' amount that can be had, be it a very minute amount...
  15. I don't know what denomination you are, so I'll tell you what I know. You can get gluten-free communion wafers here: Open Original Shared Link But, if you are Catholic, there is only one kind that I know of that is made and it is the only one ACCEPTABLE for use for the consecration. They are made of wheat (as the Church says they HAVE to be) and are...
  16. Susan, I don't know how it affected you before you went gluten-free, but all that cabbage and spinach sure would send me to the bathroom! Perhaps you are not so tolerant of those as you used to be? Maybe smaller portions? Or try eliminating them from your diet for a few days until you get yourself back to normal. I felt great after I went gluten...
  17. Count me in too! I'm exTREMEly grateful for this site and everyone who participates! And how GREATFUL I AM to live in a time where we have the internet. I probably never would have gotten a diagnosis if it weren't for the web, and I CERTAINLY would NOT have a clue about what I can and cannot eat! And I would never have met so many wonderful, helpful...
  18. I am wondering if anyone knows of any soaps (bar or liquid) that are gluten-free OTHER THAN Soaftsoap, Irish Spring, Palmolive, and Neutrogena. Thanks, -donna
  19. Well, Thanksgiving is coming and I've been informed that the turkey being made HAS to be a butterball, which, as far as I know, has gluten in it. What about other turkeys? The only turkey listed in the CSA Gluten-Free Product List are a few kosher turkey breasts. But what about WHOLE turkeys? Should I just assume that most turkeys are okay, or are...
  20. I had all those symptoms. For years we thought I had ms but the mri wasn't showing lesions - we were stumped. I could barely walk down the stairs or carry my son. The headaches were horrible. I couldn't bear the sun or any kind of heat either. I went through that for years - sometimes it would subside, but then it would come back again. It all disappeared...
  21. thank you. i did the search too, but don't know if that means it's gluten-free. for instance, there are many products with 'flavorings' added and some are gluten-free and others not. i know that's a broader example, but perhaps the method of obtaining the magnesium is different in one company than another. actually, in the search i just did, i found...
  22. anyone know if magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide are gluten-free ingredients? They aren't on the safe or forbidden list and I'm feeling contaminated lately - suspecting my magnesium supplement I just started a few days ago. Thanks, -donna
  23. awesome! thanks guys! Gonna have a few right now! -donna
  24. Has anyone ever tried Mi-Del gluten-free chocolate chip cookies? I could be wrong, but I once thought I read that there was possible contamination. Has anyone ever had a problem? The store had no Pamela's today, so I bought Mi-Del, but don't want to try until I can confirm. Thanks -donna
