  1. Beofre I was diagnosed, I was starving to death, so once I got better, my body was scared that I was going to starve itself again, so I got very pudgey in 2 years, then started to eat less as the years went on. 15 and less that 100 pounds and 5'8".

  4. hydrogenated is just not good for anyone anytime, not very healthy, but it does not have any gluten in it.

  6. It will take them a while to get used to what you are going through. Maybe sit them down, and talk to them about how it is hurting you, or just don't give them food.   7. Have you had your iron levels checked? Anemia can cause you to be very fatigued, then if that is it then you can get iron supplements, then you can feel better soon.

  10. I completely agree with you. My sister had he tests done through Guest, and had positive, then had the biopsy, no damage whatsoever. Then did promethesus, and completely negative.

  12. My mom has a good bread recipe for me. gluten-free/CF/CF/SF (last 2 corn free/soy free) I can't post it now, I'm on the way to the bay area celiac dietic assoc. meeting and talking there. I'll post it when I get home
  13. I'm fine w/ fresh fruits and veggies from the farmers market. And orgainc free range meats. And whole foods beans in a jar!! oh they are so much better than the ones in the cans. I've got a pretty severe corn allergy, so they should be fine with you too.
  14. MY LIFE, yeah I would have dien w/ in 3-4 weeks if I had not been diagnosed w/ celiac. The docs told my parents after I was diagnosed that they had thought I had about a month to live.
  15. I'm eating a lot of beans, and rice, beef, and fruits and veggies. It is hard at school, but it is better than being in the ER all the time!

I would sayt hat go ahead with the biopsy, and make sure to keep him on lots of gluten, this will make sure that if he has celiac, that his biopsy might be positive.   17. With the GERD it was because I had had major allergy attackkks from corn and soy. They then did like 5 epis and major steroid IVs and then that caused the heartburn. Burping, acid backup, sore throats, and throwing up acid. They put me on zantac and prevacid, and it really helped. Finding out about the corn and soy was through allergy tests, blood and skin...
  18. I'm 15 and have been on the diet since I was 20 months old. I completely follw the diet. Welcome to the board, it has a lot of good resources, I will allow other people to post more because I have to go to sleep now, school tomorrow.
  19. I agree with everything that is said so far, take it one step at a time. Just go for the biopsy and see what the results are. Then if you are positive, then you can start easing your boss and co-workers into the idea of you probably not being able to work there anymore. For the biopsy, it is a breeeze, not any problem.   20. I'm really not eating any processed food at all. Just making it all myself and my parents. It probably will be healthier in the long run I had spring break last week, and went to them al during that week.

  23. I never get sick right away. It is usually the next day, or even the day after that. Reaction times can vary greatly.
