  1. Think of how many times when you shower you have gotten shampoo in your mouth. Everytime you do this, you could be getting gluten posioning, slowly but surely. I would change it, but for me even a crumb send me into anaphalytic shock.
  2. you should be feeling better soon. It does take a while to make it completely better, but over time you will start noticing positive effects. Just as long as you are cutting out all gluten sources, you should be feeling better soon.
  3. I did no sodium gluten-free liquid diet this summer. Not fun. I would suggest fruit and smoothies. Potatoes are really good, i really don't like salt, so maybe that is why it was easy for me. But really you could just have all your food, just no salt. I started using a lot of pepper instead of the salt, and i turned into a completely peper person instead...
  4. I use Ener-g. I always get sick from Bobs Red Mill
  5. I get recurrent tonsilitis in 8th grade, but that was from my CPAP and they forgot to give me the filter, so it was just circulating the bacteria through my mouth every night.
  6. Celiacs are normal people! But really, it is just the normal stories you ehar, when people are vegetarian for 15 years, then suddenly start to eat meat, you might get sick from it because your body is just so not used to it.
  7. Sorry, I didn't want to berate you or anything, i was just trying to say that you shouldn't do it again. sorry if i offended you or anything, I didn't mean to in any way.
  8. The almond breeze is really good. I absolutely detest the rice milk, it tastes horrible.
  9. You can also clear the cookies set for this board, and then the new pic should show up. I can see it too.
  10. It's an awesome resource for newly diagnosed, I just like reading people's posts, and responding, and then making radom posts here and there when I have quick questions. The size has really jumped since Scott made the new format, it is much easier to navigate around:0
  11. They do have masa flour in them, but they are mostly made of rice, if you can handle a littl e bit of corn, then you will be fine, but I can't tolerate any corn, so I can't have anymore
  12. I would defenitely get that checked out, yes you can get that frmo gluten, but it could be a sign of something far worse, like chrons and stuff. I would go to your doctor and get the stool sample kit and make it tested for all the major things that could be wrong.
  13. The gluten free pantry is a very good gluten free place that makes gluten-free mixes and such. They sell a lot of their mixes at whole foods market. You should really try it out, the brownies w/ the chocolate chunks in them are really to die for. I make them for soccer snack(when I get back to playing) and everyone on the team eats them because they are really...
  14. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!
  15. If you really need an official diagnosis of celiac, then I would say go for it. But if you think that maybe other foods might be bothering you, then you might want to try the elimination diet and slowly add foods back in one at a time, and then if they don't make you sick, then you know that you can have that food, but if it makes you sick, then you know...
  16. I wouldn't eat there, whenever I get glutened from a place I will never go there ever again. If it makes me sick, then I say, well it is worse than eating the food, just stop going there. Well I would never know waht NYF is out in Cali.
  17. NONONONONO. Now you at least know what it feels like to be glutened, and will probably never want to have that feeling again. So just think of the way you are feeling now, and then maybe that will be a way to get you to not want to have gluten ever again. SO now you have to start all over again. Just take it one day at a time, and just don't eat gluten...
  18. She should just get them taken out, it really isn't that painful, and then after that your sister/brother might be more ademant to get the testing for celiac disease.
  19. My sister is studying at Wits this semester and she is gluten intolerant. She says that it is really easy there than in the US, much easier because of all the Europeans and the raw food.
  20. I was on the old board since the beginning, I would really only post in the teen section, because the old board was really hard to navigate about, but when the new board came up, it took me a couple tries to get it right, but it is soooo much better.
  21. My sisters and I bought 3 bags and finished them off in one car ride home from whole foods. They are the best things in the world, but now I can't have corn,
  22. the santa fe barbeque ones are like heaven on earth. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yummy!
  23. I ue Clinique lipgloss like 50 times a day, hey i'm 15! But for shows, I used to just lick my lips a lot and make them chapped then put carmex on, so it would look like I was wearing lipstick, but would get away w/o it.
  24. I would basically tell her to go to her doctor. Most people would think that it is a real way to get a diagnosis, which would make her more convinced to take it seriously. JUst tell her the name of a doctor that you either went to who is knowledegable about celiac, Then if she can get a firm diagnosis, you can talk to her about the diet and the way to help...
  25. Yeah that website is pretty cool. When I was younger I would look at it a lot more than I do now.
