  3. Hi Jen! I think it would be a good idea to print off this article for your meeting; https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-15105168885.1f That would be a good wake up article for them to realize that we are a rather large untapped market..... Perhaps suggest to them that they put on a bulletin board or advertise somewhere in their store...

  6. I know when my boys were teething, they loved sucking on a face cloth that was soaked with water. rolled/twisted up then frozen in the freezer. They carried those things around everywhere chomping down on them...... Maybe this will keep unsafe stuff out of his mouth..... Good Luck! Karen
  7. I'm 5'9", and I am the shortest one in my family..... People used to call my dad an "ex-mountain", he's huge...... My daughter (who so far is not celiac) is only 11 and she is already 5'7" with a ladies size 9 foot!!!! I am still waiting for her growth to level off a bit...... Interestingly, my younger daughter who is 6 is the cutest, tiniest, petite...

  13. OMG!!!! I would have freaked!!!! I can remember as a child biting in the corn on the cob and looking down to see the other half of a worm still in the cob (which meant the other half was in my mouth.....) To this day, I still can't eat corn on the cob....... Karen
  14. Hi Tasha: Firstly, I want to welcome you to the board!! There are a bunch of really great people here! Thanks for the info about Dairy Queen. Actually, with four kids, I go there quite alot and never got anything for myself, not knowing if it was gluten free or not. At least, now I have some options when I go with the kids (instead of just drooling...

  24. It's quite amazing actually, the amount of misinformation that can float around. Last month, someone in the medical establishment (a nurse) told me that her celiac friend was overjoyed because she learning that Tim Horton's crullers were gluten free.
