  1. Hi celiac3270! My motherly instinct kicked in when you said the kid flicked cookie crumbs in your face. I was ready to come down there to teach him a lesson he would NEVER forget!!!! I wonder if a criminal charge of assault with a deadly weapon be able to be applied here....... mmmmmm....... THAT WOULD TEACH HIM!!!!! Michelle, try not to be too...
  2. Hi Mpost! Welcome to the board! In regards to the chronic diarrhea, BOY! do I know what that is!!! I have had permanent diarrhea for a decade now. I have been on the diagnosis roller coaster that so many celiacs have been on. In my early 20's, after a trip to the Carribean, is when my problems started. Abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea, trips to...
  3. Can I ask where you found this Reliv? Is it at health food stores? Do you know if it is available in Canada? Thanks! Karen
  4. Sometimes you can hear mine clear across the room! It sounds like a thunderstorm going on in there...... The way mine feels, it reminds me of a submarine. I can sit there and it seems that the gas "breaks through" one point, I can hear it moving down to the next and then it site there until it "breaks through again". It's like a submarine with hatches...
  5. Me too! Good luck and let us know how it goes....... Luv ya too! Karen
  6. Wow! You had a built-in ultimate cheat sheet for school! LOL! I have never suffered from DH, so I would not know if it was celiac related or not, but I sure wish your sister would get tested..... It took over a year of me hounding my sister before she agreed to be tested..... Karen
  7. Wow! After this summer, you are going to be broke!!!! LOL! Have fun and good luck! Karen
  8. Well that's good news! Maybe I should stop using the www.glutenfreedrugs.com and stay will Delphi. They seem to be the best resource for all categories now.... Karen
  9. I would be nervous to use that Gillian. It's not on the list of okay things on www.glutenfreedrugs.com. Karen

  12. Here is a link: www.allergyexpo.com I am going to try to attend this. There is a celiac session both Friday night and on Saturday. Karen
  13. There is a pretty good article today in the Toronto Star in Section J - Asthma and Allergy section. It is titled "Breaking bread can be a sickening thought". Karen
  14. Movie Day in the gym. My kid's school does the whole nine yards, usually for a fundraiser. They sell hotdogs, popcorn, drinks etc. to raise money. Karen
  15. Isn't celiac3270 awesome???? Your Canadian Friend, Karen
  16. You are definitely not alone. Fatigue is a major problem for me. I could sleep 8 hours of deep sleep and wake up just as tired as when I went to bed. Also, throughout the day, I get so tired I could just sleep anywhere. Even when I am driving on the highway going to Toronto, I literally have to slap myself in the face sometimes because I feel like I...
  17. I have a terrible habit of clenching my teeth, and I don't even know I am doing it until suddenly I realize it and stop. Also, I have a terrible habit of "rubbing" or "grinding" my teeth by moving my lower jaw side to side. I do it subconsiously, even now, while I am typing this, I notice myself doing it...... I have discussed with my dr. the possibility...
  18. That sounds just like me! What is TMJ? Karen

  20. Hi Tiffany, I have already done that. I wrote down exactly what happens when I have a "flare". I took it to the dr. and she says that it is "stress and anxiety". Nope, sorry, I don't buy that...... Here is exactly what I wrote down and showed her: Dear Dr. ______: It is really hard for me to explain the feelings when I have a "flare...
  21. I just heard back from the company that indeed it is gluten free. Thanks for the phone number, Richard. The thing is, NOW IT IS GONE! The same thing has happened before. I get these things that I would best describe as a "flare up". When it happens, my joints ache, I get a really bad pain the the middle of my back, like a burning feeling, I get the...
  22. You might be Celiac if: There is a 10-fold chance of your kids saying: "She's in the bathroom" when someone calls...... (even though you drill it through their heads over and over again not to say that!!!! How embarrassing!) Karen
  23. I have also experienced those kinds of pain attacks throughout my years, both before and after the gluten free diet. Mine also passed after about the four to five hour period. The only thing that helped me was my heating pad, on the floor, rocking back and forth, humming to myself, trying to get myself into a "place in my mind" where I didn't feel the pain...
  24. You might be Celiac if: When you are reading other forums, when you see DH, your first thought is not "Dear Husband" but "Dermatitis Herptiformus"...... Karen
  25. Hey, if I lived in the States, you would get my vote!!! Karen
