  1. It is the answer that might be rude. I didnt have many GI symptoms before gluten-free. I am mostly neuro. But after I cut it out, I had horrible gas/pains and found myself in the bathroom waaaaaay too much. I was also extremely tired (not normal for me). Moody and irritated for a few weeks. Snappy (also not normal for me) and starving no matter...
  2. Soy and Dairy....they are the nail in the tire for most of us. I would cut them out for now.
  3. No that is NOT a balanced diet. You need some VEGGIES....lots of green leafy kind. You are not getting hardly ANY iron or B12. And you are mostly eating carbs/sugars. Not good. You need to add in some other meats, eggs, nuts plus VEGGIES. Eat the lower sugar fruits like blueberries. Get on a good multiple because just taking a random few...
  4. YES!! I felt worse before better. Think of it this way....anytime you injure your body.....healing can be painful. You stub your toe and it is more sensitive an sore 2 days later. You cut yourself and it hurts while it is healing. Burns are very painful while healing. Your body is healing. So this isnt a bad sign and try not to let yourself think it...
  5. I will add that my Sister was just Dx breast cancer in February. She was on Synthroid (which was not working for her). I finally convinced her to get her Doctor to switch her to Armour a few weeks after her Dx. She opted for double mastectomy. No radiation and no chemo. It will be interesting to see if she ever gets a recurrence. Of course I am praying...
  6. Guests brought Semolina to our house when I said please just bring yourselves or if you must some wine. They thought Semolina was gluten free.
  7. The muffins are excellent! We like blueberry the best. I also have a recipe in one of the cookbooks for "Pound Cake".....and it is sooooo close to the real deal. I could eat a whole loaf in one sitting. But I force myself to one slice. Everyone else gets to pass worms. I never do. I finally broke down and got the Humaworm took it for 6 weeks...
  8. Pregnancy triggered my symptoms as well.
  9. I have a problem with the "fungus" idea as well. My Grandmother had breast cancer when she was in her early 40's. Back then they just....lopped the whole breast off. She lived with only 1 breast the rest of her life....till almost 90. Never had ANY other cancers again. Knowing how prolific fungi are....there is no way that she only had one spot of fungus...
  10. A lot of Celiacs react to Soy and Dairy just as they do to Gluten. I would try removing these for a few months and see how it goes. If all goes well, you can try to reintroduce them at some point. Some are able to eat dairy just fine after their intestines heal entirely. Soy is a bothersome food for MANY. And welcome!
  11. Goat milk does have casein. We like Hemp Milk in our home. And I make homemade almond milk. You can buy almond milk, but I have been making my own for years and prefer it. The store bought is not as good as mine.
  12. Coconut water is supposed to be EXCELLENT for dehydration and easily absorbable.
  13. I would highly suggest "Hemp Milk" for this....though I can eat Coconut just fine.
  14. I think I wouldnt need a biopsy for proof that gluten was bad for me.
  15. We should be roommates....LOL I am DQ1 and DQ3. Do you know yours?
  16. I would add a pinch of salt to your water, a few drops of trace minerals as well. This should help.
  17. If you are super concerned then dont buy "RAW" honey. Buy the pasteurized stuff. Or only use it for cooking and in hot tea. But the tiny amount of botulin spores in honey does not hurt adults. It is safe.
  18. And it just makes sense that if something is depleting the body (Candida or something else) if you eliminate that issue, the body is then clear to heal itself. NO IT DOES NOT PROVE THAT CANDIDA CAUSES ALL CANCERS. It may very well be the other way around. It could mean that Cancers deplete the body and allow Candida to thrive. Could be a vicious cycle...
  19. It is HARD when they are so little and not well. Sorry to hear this. If it were me, I would avoid gluten for now and all grains that have gluten in them. You can always try again at another time when she is older. You could also have genetic testing to see if she even has the genes. You guys could get tested too. If Doc. wont do it, try Enterolab...
  20. Celiac is NOT an allergy. It is an auto-immune response to gluten. The two are not related at all. You CAN be allergic to wheat, etc. and NOT be Celiac and visa versa. So YES they can come back POS.
  21. The diet will be KEY! And the BEER has to go. Sorry. The money you save on beer could go toward some probiotics in pill form. And even some anti-candida supplements too. I would only use coconut oil and olive oil for your oil needs. Except fish oil...that is o.k. You can buy oil of oregano pretty inexpensively. And enjoy garlic in all of your...
  22. I would say you are reacting to GLUTEN. You might be Celiac or Gluten Intolerant. The cure is the same. A Gluten Free Diet. You can ask for a biopsy and genetic testing to learn more. Dont go gluten-free until the biopsy if you want to have one.
  23. If money is a concern, then you should go on an Anti-Candida diet. Google and you will find info. for FREE. And eat lots of garlic/oregano/coconut oil...as these kill Candida. Eat lots of yogurt (non-dairy if you have to). There is no reason to do nothing. And there is ALWAYS hope!
  24. Toxins??? What toxins?? It is produced in a sterile environment. I guess if the beekeepers use nasty equipment to process it, toxins could get in. Remember Wikipedia is written by lay people NOT by scientists or professionals. There is A LOT of false info on there. I eat honey in small amounts only.
  25. Any difference after 2 days gluten-free? Are you 100% gluten-free? i.e. changed out your scratched pans, new cutting boards, cleaned your kitchen thoroughly. Made sure your haircare/cosmetics/creams/toothpaste/floss, etc. are gluten-free?? Not eating out? Not eating anything without checking for gluten-free status? Unless simple foods like meat...
