    I am very bloated as we speak. The scale also says in the past 24 hours I have gained 4 pounds. Even after losing 11 pounds over the past 2 1/2 months, my clothes do not feel any looser due to the bloating. Disgusting!

    This would be great if dieticians were up to snuff on celiac. However, in my experience, they are not very helpful. Advising things such as eating Rice Krispies are acceptable and when questioned about the malt, they have no idea. It was a waste of money for me and my health insurance.

    I hve several recipes that call for gluten-free yellow cake mix. Went to the health food store yesterday and they had chocolate, spice, vanilla, white, devil's food, etc. but no yellow cake from any brand of gluten-free company. Does anyone know what company makes it or have a recipe from scratch? Thanks!!

    I also had a miscarriage pre-diagnosis. I went through labor and the whole bit at 4 months, but there was no baby. It took me about 2 years to get pregnant again.

    I have a coworker whose husband also has celiac. One time she told me she bought him some really good bread and she would get me some if I liked. I told her sure.     I also had anxiety before going gluten-free. Along with this, I experienced night terrors. If I heard a noise in the house, I imagined all kinds of things were going to happen. I still suffer from the bathroom anxiety, but the other symptoms are gone.

    Doctors really anger me!!! I was the typical celiac taking at least 12 years to diagnose. Besides that whole scenario, I broke my foot last August and the doctor told me by the xrays it wasn't broken. I told my husband it had to be (had same foot broken before). Dr. finally sent me to foot specialist and voila, I was right. Took about 15 weeks to heal...

    Just a note that there is a new type of Cheetos out that I was going to try. When I read the label, it said "oat something" in the ingredients. So be careful!

    I understand how frustrating it is for doctors/labs to ignore your requests (as if they're paying for them)! I asked my nurse practitioner to order the full celiac panel for my two sons, which she did. I put a note on the orders requesting the full panel and my sons also reiterated the request at the lab.
