  1. HI WHAT OTHER CELIAC BOARDS ARE YOU ON IF I CAN ASK?
  2. Kinnikinick (SP?) K Kritters are also really good
  3. This was confirmed on another celiac forum of which I am a member.
  4. I, too, was experiencing some horrendous mood swings. I have seen a great improvement since taking sublingual B-12 (Puritan's Pride).
  5. I have a different problem. My son is getting married one week from today. He has been engaged for a year and a half. He went to the bride's father before proposing asking for his blessing. Her father said the family loved my son and would be happy to have him. HOWEVER, we have paid for everything for this wedding. Not once has her dad offered to help...
  6. Thanks, guys. Unfortunately, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Wild Oats are all about 100 miles from me and the two health food stores I frequent don't have them yet. And, alas, no Wegman's anywhere! May try your suggestions of ordering online (don't think I'd use 12 bags though! ) TYVM all!
  7. If I remember correctly, Dannon will not guarantee any of their yogurt as gluten free. Yoplait makes a Yo-+ and I believe most of theirs is safe.
  8. Does anyone know if there is a gluten-free company that makes the large pasta shells like you would use in manicotti? I've had several types of Tinkyada and Deboles but have never been able to find these. TIA!
  9. Zojirushi bread machine and Anna's bread mix (know I murdered the spelling on that)!
  10. Just be careful of the chips. I, too, thought they were something I could eat safely at a Mexican restaurant. UNTIL, I was told by a waitress that the chips are fried in the same oil as the breaded items!!! Be sure to ask before eating them again!
  11. Diarrhea was the beginning for me. It then led to severe dehydration, fatigue, vomiting, migraines, irritability, etc. etc. If you have been diagnosed before getting other symptoms, you are very lucky!
  12. Sam's rotisserie chicken does contain wheat in the dry rub they use. However, Wal-Mart rotisserie chicken does not list it. You would think they'd be the same, but guess not.
  13. I don't know of any diagnosed cases of celiac in my family but on my mom's side, my grandpa had an undiagnosed liver disease. When he died, the dr said something about him being an alcoholic. However, he never drank. My second cousin on this side of the family also has this liver disease. Don't know if celiac could be an offshoot of that or not. Just...
  14. Here are my experiences with a dermatologist and a naturopathic chiropractor. When no one could diagnose my problems, I was sent to a psychiatrist who sent me to the chiropractor. She had all these vials of different substances and would put them against my stomach and push down on my arm. As you said, the arm would go down when a substance was supposedly...
  15. Did anyone else try the Florentine cookie recipe that was in the latest issue of Living WIthout? I tried making them last SUnday and it was a total flop! I expected them to be thin, but they did not even maintain their form when I removed them from the cookie sheet. They just kinda rolled up. I ended up with a plateful of moist crumbly mixture which we...
  16. You have my utmost respect and support. Good luck and PLEASE stay safe!!
  17. Jin, Great picture!!!! We're not sure if the bride's dad is coming. He is, well, being a ******. Fill in with whatever comes to mind!!!!
  18. Thanks for the compliment, Jin. Yeah, it's a glamour shot. Unfortunately, I don't look like that on a daily basis! I think everything is coming together for the wedding at the moment. 26 days to go! Robin
  19. Speaking of Celiac, how is your son? Is he doing any better? He was very ill the last you and I spoke. Has he been diagnosed? Or is he on the gluten-free diet? Jin, THanks for asking. My son seems to be doing better (or he is just not telling me when he feels bad). All his tests came back negative. The only thing I was disappointed...
  20. 1. Is there a company that makes gluten-free manicotti shells? 2. One day last week I ate Tinkyada fettucine and Classico Four Cheese Alfredo sauce and had a reaction? Anyone else had a problem with either of these? Maybe I just ate too much b/c it was really good!
  21. I agree. I need to go to the doctor about some issues I'm having like unexplained weight gain, etc. I have not made an appt yet b/c I don't think I would be taken seriously. I predict I will hear "well, you are getting older and closer to menopause and that's just the way it happens." There are 2 women nurse practitioners that I trust so I may request...
  22. I found it interesting that the rotisserie chicken at Sam's contains wheat (in the rub, I believe) but the rotisserie chicken at WalMart does not (if I read ingredients correctly).
  23. I would be very interested in knowing what this bloating thing is all about as well. When you wear a pair of pants and six days later they won't go around you...it is NOT because you ate too much!!!!
  24. Our Walmart carries the Vans and now Deboles, but not GFP. Actually, I should see our WalmartS. We have 6 Supercenters within an hours drive in all directions.
