  1. Growing up we always had baked beans and potato salad. I just tried some risotto that was good. It's by Lundberg and it was the Parmesan flavor. I love spiral ham. What brand are you cooking? Please post your pineapple stuffing!!
  2. I know there was a thread on this, but I can't find it. Anyway, I have to get a crown on a tooth and asked the dentist for the products he would be using. Here they are: Examix and Fuji Plus by GC America. 800/323-7063. Company verified by phone both are gluten-free. TempBond by Kerr. Company verified by phone that all of their products are gluten...
  3. Austin does have some good places and not just the chains. I was there in March and we ate at this great restaurant. I'll ask my niece what the name of it was. It may have been the Wild Wood Cafe. I'll see if she remembers and let you know.
  4. Gaye of PA. Thanks for posting. This sounds great! I didn't know you could put frozen meat in the crockpot. I'm learning something everyday.
  5. Don't know about Skyy, but Chopin Vodka is distilled from potatoes.
  6. I don't believe Corn Chex is gluten free. Rice Chex is. Make sure to check the box as it will actually say gluten free on it. I eat Cocoa Pebbles too. Fruity Pebbles are also gluten free. There are about 3 different EnviroKids cereals that are gluten free. Do you like beans? Most of Bush beans are gluten free. Not the chili though. Bush Beans...
  7. I buy the Hormel Natural at either Safeway (Tom Thumb in Dallas area or I believe Ralphs in Texas) or Fry's (Krogers in Texas). Hopefully they will have it as well and you can get it when you do your regular grocery shopping.
  8. We use Applegate and Hormel Natural.
  9. Mike, as nask mentioned there are a few different test strips. Which kind do you use? Actually, I think the test strips would be great to use. I wouldn't use it all the time. I think they would work well if say you ate five different foods one day, thinking each to be gluten-free. You get sick anyway and don't know which food made you sick. This test...
  10. Last night I went out with some girlfriends to a pottery painting place. They let us bring wine so we have happy hour at the same time. One of the girls brought snacks. Every single thing she brought was gluten free except for Triscuits. I couldn't believe it. She brought turkey and cheese (prepackaged), gluten-free crackers from Trader Joe's, wine...
  11. I take Fexofenadine 180 mg Tabs manufactured by Dr. Reddy's. I get it at Walgreens. They have verified via e-mail that this product is gluten-free. If you do a search, I attached the e-mail from Dr. Reddy's on a previous thread.
  12. I use a lot of the Bush beans. You need to avoid any of their Chili beans though. Bush Beans will state on the website which ones are gluten-free.
  13. Thanks so much! I think most of my stuff is on there. I don't understand the Lame Ad thing either and couldn't figure out what I had done wrong. I hadn't put a website on there and I certainly wasn't selling anything. Oh well, I'm just happy you sent me the website and that I can use most everything.
  14. Is there a list of certain words to avoid so we don't get the lame advertisement tag? My previous post was about A.R.B.O.N.N.E. Thanks.
  15. Ok, I'm trying this again to see if it works and doesn't come up Lame Advertisement. Just wondering if anyone have a current list of A.R.B.O.N.N.E. products. I got a basket of products from a charity auction that I would like to use. The only list I could find is from 2006. It's quite extensive so I'm hoping all my products will be on it. Thanks...
  16. Ok, thought I missed something there. As you can probably tell, I need really good directions when cooking or baking. I'm trying though! This sounds so good and easy. Thanks for sharing Beverly/Patti. I like the idea of 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 regular.
  17. Where you write" take two knives and slice until the sugar and butter are combined to form a crumbly top", do we add more sugar in the bowl with the butter and flour?
  18. Jason, I'm so sorry that you had to go through so many stressful things. Like everyone mentioned before, one or more of these stressful times could have been the trigger. You already seem to have a handle on this. For me, the eating out is the toughest. You sound like you doing great with this. Keep reading the forum. There is so much info here,...
  19. Thanks for posting actual products!
  20. Everyone is different on this question. There was another thread about this not too long ago. I will eat something that is made in the same facility that also has wheat, rye, barley or oats. I will not eat something that is manufactured on the same line or equipment as wheat, rye, barley or oats. Just because it is made on the same equipment as wheat...
  21. Yep, headaches, migraines, anxiety and nausea. It was pretty much my last hope in going to her. I'm so glad I did. Most people couldn't believe there were no doctors in my own area that could help me. Well, when I had gone to my eye doctor, and opthamologist, and mentioned the dizziness, she told me it was definitely not because of my eyes. Unless...
  22. I had this too. One morning, I turned over in bed and everything started spinning. It was awful. I went to two ENT's, my family doctor, a neurologist and an eye doctor. No one could figure out what it was. I had two CT scans and an MRI. I was like this for a year. Then my sister told me about this doctor in Michigan (I live in Arizona). She gave...
  23. glutenfreeinchicago, Everyone heals differently and at a different rate. I had extreme fatigue. I took 2-3 hour naps each day and was still tired. I ended up having my thyroid tested and found that I was hypothyroid. Also, my ferritin level was really low. I know now that many people with celiac also have thyroid problems. You may want to get...
  24. I take Renew Life as well. They have different strengths so depends on what you want. I take the Flora Smart which is one of the stronger ones. Like sickchick, I take on an empty stomach. However, I called the manufacturer regarding another supplement and also asked about the probiotics to see how long I would have to wait to eat. They told me I really...
