  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. yeah i definately plan on contacting the company. lee-lee, you must have gotten a few bad bars too because normally they dont taste alcoholy at all. wenmin, unfortunatly most have nuts in them or say "may contain occassional nut shells" ...you can order them for a good price at drugstore.com but i would avoid them if you cant have nuts.
  3. so last night at work i took a bite of my pecan larabar. i eat a larabar at least once a day so i definately know what they taste like and this one tasted DISGUSTING...nothing like what they normally taste like...almost like there was nail polish remover in it. i threw it out. then today, i brought another larabar to school....took a bite and it tasted the...
  4. ive had it before without any problems. its also really good if you heat it up and eat it like tomato soup (with crackers or grilled cheese mm)
  5. just bought some GFDF passover cakes, macaroons, and chocolate! i love this holiday!
  6. Many, many products contain gluten and do not say so...thats exactly why we get sick so often. I recently checked Lindt's website and it still had the same statement so I would be careful.
  7. Where/how is this breath test available? And yes I will simply avoid apples from now on..i rarely have them anyway..i just wanted to try the apple pie larabar the other day. babysteps, nice to know im not alone!
  8. So the other day i went to the grocery store (wegmans) and they had put out all the kosher for passover foods. I was looking around and was so happy when i found this chocolate bar from Israel that is dairy free and appears to be gluten free. it tastes delicious! but i am a little worried becuase i am not 100% sure it is gluten-free. it has an allergy warning...
  9. or is my body just weird?
  10. I LOVE Indian food!! It should be pretty easy to eat gluten free at Indian restaurants...apparently they use chick pea flour most commonly...according to the India restaurant I always eat at. But that doesnt go to say that they never use gluten flours...always ask of course.
  11. whoa weirdest thing..i got D today after i ate chick peas! i was wondering if it could be because they are so high in fiber...? anyone know about that?
  12. What is the different between a dairy intolerance and a dairy allergy? How do you know which one you have?
  13. Have you checked barnes and noble? I've seen a bunch there...you should look at their online store (plus they have free shipping on most things). I have one called The Gluten Free Vegan...just got it so havent tried anything out yet.
  14. Just wanted to warn everyone if you didnt already know that Pamela's baking/pancake mix is not dairy free!!! I would have never thought there would be dairy in a mix. It made me very, very sick today. It just reinforces that you can never assume anythinggg and must always read labels.
  15. The poster said "for those still healing or for accidental gluten consumption" I think it would be extremely helpful but I dont think that people who dont have celiac disease would understand and therefor it would be very difficult to make legal for us.
  16. If you have celiac or are gluten intolerant you must eat gluten-free which is not the same as wheat-free. Wheat is only one part of gluten...you also need to avoid rye, barley, and possibly oats. I checked the burger king website and there was no information about gluten, only wheat. Fast food should probably be avoided anyway, it is most likely all cross...
  17. Totally agree. Their chocolate cake with their chocolate frosting is just as good if not better than regular store bought cakes...my gluten eating sister and father agree
  18. haha your not alone i smell EVERYTHING! people always make fun of me...i work at a place that serves food and i always want to eat it so smelling it helps a little

    ARCHIVED Dh?

About a week or so ago I got a little tiny rash on my arm. I thought it would go away in a few days but it just kept getting worse and worse and spreading. It doesnt itch constantly but sometimes it will itch really bad for an hour or two and then stop. I have nooo idea what could have caused it and im wondering if it could be DH from cross contamination...
  20. haha same here!!! i eat them everyday
  21. I always eat the little white crunchy things and have never had a problem with them.
  22. do their products say gluten free on the label?
