  1. I can't remember off the top of my head. There is a hard cider that is sold at my local Food Lion and I looked it up and was NOT gluten free. Next time I'm at the store I'll be sure to find it and post it. I thought it odd that it was considered a cider, but wasn't processed ONLY from apples like Woodchuck.
  2. It's a base idea really. I've thought of all SORTS of ways to make it differently and adding things...I think adding chocolate syrup to the cool whip and using chocolate cake layers...MMmmm... The possibilities are endless. You're welcome! Glad I could help!
  3. I am curious now to know if my fluctuating tingly-ness...or warm flushing feeling of my left arm may be a gluten reaction. Then slight dizziness/strange feeling occurs after that and by then I've taken an Ativan (which is Rx) and all is happy for me. Sometimes after this I will have what my doc thinks is a panic attack (if I don't pop the pill) which started...
  4. Ok, I have had to cut out alot...and reading that Captain Morgan's products are safe, my husband and I ran across a Draft Cider that has printed on the label, "Naturally Gluten Free" I've seen alot of hard cider's that in fact ARE not. I picked up a 6-pack with out any hesitation. However I remember reading on Anheiser Busch's website that their...
  5. Yes I would love some oreos....kinikinnick...or however it's spelled turned me off their brand when I tried the pre-made bread. Yuck. I will have to check out the oreo-like cookies they make, that is if my local whole foods can order it for me.
  6. So for those who can have dairy, this is the most delicious dessert in the universe (to me and co-workers anyways). What you need: 36 gluten free cookies...roughly a bit smaller than a cup coaster in diameter. I use Betty Crocker's gluten free chocolate chip cookies. Milk I large tub of cool whip All you do is layer cookies and cool whip...
  7. Soooo this may be the reason.... I woke up one day with extreme hip pain in my right hip a couple months ago. I nearly fell when I got out of bed. I was in so much pain I was almost to tears. My hubby had me take some naproxin which is for inflammation and the pain subsided somewhat. The next day I was fine. I couldn't for the life of me figure out...
  8. oops I as well didn't realize it's posted elsewhere....how do I delete a post??
  9. Up until I was going gluten free my cycles were very irregular, most times extremely painful and very very heavy. They'd last for a full 7 days. Now they're RIGHT on schedule down to the day and are 4 days...then 3 tapering off with only slight color. Pains only on the first day and hardly no PMS (bloating, swollen/painful breasts) One thing that hasn...
  10. I have been gluten/wheat free for a couple years now and every so often I would get this strange sore in my ear, but on the outside right behind the lump that you push on to plug your ear...it would start out insanely itchy. Then over night it would become a breakout of blisters that itched and the first time I had it scratched it open and it oozed and oozed...
  11. OHHHHHHhhhh I just remembered. Last summer after being gluten/wheat free for some time, I had two weeks where it seemed I couldn't shake the diarrhea. Everything I ate came right out. I was on clean simple diet and I KNOW that I was not sick, no fever, no infection...nothing. Doc said I was fine. I concluded (along with the opinion of my mother who is...
  12. I get mysterious reactions sometimes and cannot for the life of me figure it out. I read last night of other intolerances to things that come hand in hand with Celiac...frustrating I know. I SOMEtimes have diarrhea from bread-like substances even when I KNOW it's gluten free. Sometimes I just have diarrhea and my husband says, "Take some immodium...
  13. So iodized salts have something to do with fish? Am I reading that correctly?
  14. Pamela's is my hero!!!! I use it for EVERYTHING...for batter, pancakes, waffles...my husband LOVES them too and he's not a Celiac! Thankyou for this recipe!
  15. My doc seemed to not really take it seriously when I mentioned Celiac. I was supposed to have a RAST test done to help figure out the cause of my sudden onset of panic attacks. At least that is what we think they are. I posted recently about the Reeses morsels and said that I reacted from it badly...then two days later I had a bad panic attack here at home...
  16. When I'm having a bad candy bar craving...usually only during a specific time of each month (LOL) I snag some reese cups or a snickers. Not the little individually wrapped snack size as I'm told those are not ok to have sometimes. I never seem to react. The reese morsels on the other hand are NOT ok. I am pretty sure. I tried out the new Betty Crocker...
  17. So what do you do if you cannot ingest sea salts? I have to get uniodized salts. I itch SO bad from anything that has iodized salt or sea salt. When I first started going truly gluten free, I didn't realize my itchiness was from sea salt since I had bought a huge container of it to replace regular table salt. Needless to say I was not happy when I found...
  18. I've not posted all that much, but I used to REALLY suffer from having that stubborn swollen poochy belly. Don't know if it's the same as what you and others are experiencing, but I will offer my advice anyways. When I started going gluten free, I also stopped lifting weights and working out, which probably wasn't the smartest thing, but I had to know...
  19. Well this one I happen to be with generally takes hints well. I'm learning to be blunt with him though. My last relationship was a disaster ending in disaster and I had almost forgotten how to communicate at all, lol.
  20. I am nowhere near as experienced as you married farts BUT, I do have some of the same issues. When I'm stressed, when I don't feel good, when I've been glutened, it all affects me sexually. I don't want to exert the energy to do anything...not foreplay and certainly not sex. It's not that I don't want it, but outside influences affect me mentally and if...
  21. I have those "moments" too
  22. Are you targeting a younger crowd or any age group? Or just for the general population, young and old? I. I agree with the last poster who says that a list of suppliers who make wheat/gluten free products or a supplier who makes ONLY wheat and gluten free products. Including affordable supplements. As for me, my symptoms started in college. I didn...
  23. Oh man, I was drinking these like an addiction before I found out that I'm intolerant to wheat and gluten. I just quit drinking mixed coffees all-together to eliminate things I can't have. I just make my own at home and put cool whip in it. Cool whip is w and gluten-free As far as I know anyways. those are soooooo good too. Bummer.
  24. Thankyou. The symptoms are starting to go away. The headache much better, but dizzy and not going to drive to work like this. I suppose it was CC, however, I've not had serious reactions (like my mom does) with CC. Maybe I just can't have seafood anymore...who knows why. Shrimp sometimes will do it to me too even though it's boiled at home with no seasonings...
  25. This man obviously cares for you especially to support you through anorexia. He found a way to get it through to you without making threats or ultimatums. If he was there for you through that, he'll understand the sleep-eating too, don't you think? With you being pregnant, there is no telling what you could get ahold of and get yourself sick or cause problems...
