  1. I wonder what to do about other allergens? I am allergic to soy too... b/c of that I am always afraid of the gluten-free stuff at Dland. I go there frequently and haven't bought anything besides an apple and pineapple spear!
  2. So Delicious Kefir Coconut Milk? Oh no... I've been eating it and it's in my fridge..... what flavor did you get? I have the plain.. I don't think it was affecting me? Oh boy.
  3. Yeah, I have had a hard time getting armour too. My doctor and I use a compounding pharmacy now - they make the pills especially for me, so nice! I get the slow release tablets, so I only take one in the morning. This has been SOOO nice because I don't have to worry about when I am having late lunch (because you can't take it around food).
  4. I had one! DELICIOUS. The only gluten-free flavor is Red Velvet. It melts in your mouth! And they know all about 'wrapping it separate' from other cupcakes too, and will give you a list of the flour ingredients if you ask. There is NO SOY in the gluten-free cupcake, but there is in the vegan. They come with a "G" and a "V" decorative candy on top! They go...
  5. I personally wouldn't go back to Pizza Fusion. I went to the San Diego location. The pizza was mediocre. It was made with Bob's Red Mill and you could tell it WAS gluten free - very bean tasting. The whole pizza was not tasty at all - it totally lacked flavor. It was also a $30 pizza - which is RIDICULOUS. I am not going back. I can seriously make a pizza...
  6. I just ate here with my mother yesterday. She ordered their 2 for combo with chicken and rice soup + small chicken caesar salad. I ordered a caesar salad DRY (no dressing, I am allergic to soy too) with the sharp cheddar cheese, carrots, cucumbers and chicken. We told the girl taking our order that we are gluten free and are ordering from the gluten free...
  7. Yes. Has anyone else had this kind of turkey and know for sure?
  8. Supposedly there are "fresh all natural turkey's from Trader Joe's that are 100% vegetarian feed, no antibiotics, growth hormones, or artificial ingredients" but are they GLUTEN free and soy free? Anyone know?
  9. I hear alot of good things about kinnikinic but unfortunately they have soy in their products..
  10. I've had the jalapeno and buffalo - both are delicious!
  11. I can only do store-bought cookies Anyone else have favorites?
  12. Thank you for all the suggestions!! I've never heard of Apple Bakery... and do you mean French MEADOW Bakery?
  13. I agree... it's just a very expensive idea! haha
  14. Thanks everyone! Keep the cookies coming! So far I am a fan of Nana's and I haven't tried all the Pamelas yet.. or TJ's... Anyone ever done Whole Foods cookies too?
  15. Hey all! I am at college and don't have much time for baking. Luckily, my cafeteria will reemburse me for food I bring in - so now I get to try some cookies! I am also allergic to soy... so in your opinion, what is the best gluten free cookie and why? Explainations like "it was not dry" or "the flavor was nice" are specially helpful..
  16. I LOVE "food should taste good" chips... they are so yummy and don't have yucky ingredients!
  17. Coconut oil is amazing! I use it for everything. Read what Dr. Mercola has to say about it, that should explain it all. It is super healthy I bake with it, stir fry with it and do anything with it that you would normal oil. It's a GREAT butter substitute, especially for those of us watching our dairy intake. I use Spectrum coconut oil, too. The quality...
  18. I was excited when I saw Garden of Eatin was introducing some new ones recently, but then I did more research and found that Garden of Eatin is not "technically" gluten free anyone know of any basic corn taco shells without gluten and soy?
  19. I just made this recipe today: Open Original Shared Link because I heard that it was really good and low and behold the bread fell as soon as I took it out of the oven! Have any of you experienced this? What did you do wrong and how did you fix it? I've heard that it's everything from too much liquid in a recipe, to too much rising time..
  20. Here is an email I got back, I just thought I would pass it along to everyone : "Nutrifoodie, The only teas that have soy are a few of our Truffle teas. In regards to gluten, although none of our blends contain wheat, rye, barley or oats, and the tea itself is gluten free, our teas may be processed in a facility that also processes gluten products...
  21. Being allergic to soy is hard. I get very uncomfortable, make me feel wicked sick, gastro/intenstine symptoms. and I feel like crap. lol. being soy free is so nice though
  22. Wow, moving to France! Have fun. The only thing I can think of is really learn the hidden ingredients of gluten in English. Search the web, read up and educate yourself.. then as you are learning French you'll be sure to know those words, and soon you will be able to effortlessly detect gluten in English and French. And you let us all over to your...
  23. I have to say no about the hyperthyroid. I definitely have HYPOthyroid, that wasn't what I was hinting at. My point was that after going gluten free my hormones started changing. Amenorhea is connected to hypothyroidism, as well, so that's why I mentioned that. Sorry if that was confusing, you can message me if you wish to clarify.
  24. I like Land O' Lakes recipes.. I haven't gluten freed many of them, but I did one once for their vanilla pound cake, and it turned out AMAZING! Just thought I'd put that out there..
