ARCHIVED Anyone Use/try/or Bake With Whole Foods' 365 Organic Cane Sugar?
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
There was tapioca starch added to the powdered sugar, but why would that have been an issue? I've added it plenty of times before to recipes. -
I originally posted this thread about 8 months ago. Basically, after initially removing gluten (3.5 years ago) I felt great for about 2 - 3 months, then things slowly went bad again. I continued to get worse and worse despite having every test come back normal. I was tired all the time, never really felt like doing much. Basically I thought I had chronic...

ARCHIVED Goya Canned Beans
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Okay awesome - all the stuff I found on them said they were gluten-free but it was like 3 - 5 years old. Just out of curiosity which ones have you had? -
ARCHIVED Goya Canned Beans

Anyone eat them without issue? I can't really find anything recent on them. -
ARCHIVED Whole Foods Brand Pasta Sauce
Gfresh404 replied to shg's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I've had good luck with the 365 brand. Supposedly all their manufacturers following GMP to separate allergens - although I haven't confirmed if they view gluten as an allergen. I would bet it's safe, but I hate getting glutened so much I personally wouldn't risk it. -
Thanks for the responses guys. Are both of yours more just intolerances/sensitivities as opposed to allergic reactions? It seems that most people who need to go to such extremes to avoid corn have an allergic reaction to it and not necessarily an intolerance/sensitivity to it. Not saying that you guys aren't that sensitive to it, I'm just surprised that you...

ARCHIVED Bionaturae Tomato Paste
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
You guys were right - called the company today and they: "It is a gluten-free product." -
ARCHIVED Brown Rice Bread? Anyone Had It?
Gfresh404 replied to GlutenStinks15's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I've had it and it's definitely not a great all around bread, but it certainly has its place. It's also almost all made from whole grain, so what you give up in taste, you make up for in nutrition. -
ARCHIVED Bionaturae Tomato Paste
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Is that what 1x means - 1 ppm? Yeah I am really skeptical about any home test that claims to be able to pick up trace amounts of gluten -
ARCHIVED Bionaturae Tomato Paste
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I had actually never heard of that site before. And she said it actually tested positive. No, but my DD reacted to Bionaturae tomato paste (ingredients: organic tomatoes). No question -- I tested it at 1x. -
ARCHIVED Sunflower Oil?
Gfresh404 replied to jhol's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I don't think I've ever heard of anyone reacting to an oil - assuming it wasn't contaminated with gluten or some other allergen. Not saying it can't happen, just saying I've never heard of it before I would suspect corn is the issue -
ARCHIVED Bionaturae Tomato Paste
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
The only thing that scared me away was also the only thing I found on it; one woman saying she reacted to it: Open Original Shared Link -
ARCHIVED Cascadian Farms Org Fruit Spread?
Gfresh404 replied to shayre's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I know this topic is two years old but for anyone googling - I've also had their OG Fruit Spreads without any issue and I am quite sensitive as well. -
ARCHIVED Cascadian Farms Frozen Veggies
Gfresh404 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I know they're owned by General Mills and they'll clearly list any source of Gluten in parentheses, but has anyone had any issues with any of their Frozen Veggies? I just had their Frozen Cut Spinach and am having a reaction. I've had their OG Fruit Spread without any issue. -
ARCHIVED Bionaturae Tomato Paste
Gfresh404 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Anyone use it before? I wasn't able to find much with google. The only ingredient is Tomato Paste so it's really a question of manufacturing -
I just recently figured out that I'm sensitive to corn, which is no easy task since as most of you know - it's in everything! Anyway it seems to be quantity related and not as serious of a reaction as gluten (thank god). I was hoping some other corn sensitive individuals could share with me what they can and can't get away with. Like if they have to avoid...

ARCHIVED Otc Drugs And Cross Contamination
Gfresh404 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Has anyone had an issue with it? I would think if you know for certain that all the inactive ingredients in a product are gluten-free, there's probably a %90 chance that it is in fact gluten free. My logic is that with important things like drugs - they're already going to make sure there's no cross contamination with the other drugs - therefore they're probably... -
ARCHIVED Is Meclizine Hcl (A Drug For Vertigo) Gluten-Free?
Gfresh404 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Here are the inactive ingredients: Lactose, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Starch Glycolate, and Talc. The only one that causes me concern is the Sodium Starch Glycolate - which I've read is usually made from potato, but I'd prefer not to be a guinea pig, especially when I already feel like crap. Thank you... -
ARCHIVED Still Have Chronic Fatigue - Please Help
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I wish mine was like yours but I seem to of plateaued in terms of energy about a year ago. At least 7 a night - if it's any less I nap during the day since I am only taking two classes. I do not - the only caffeine I consume is from dark chocolate and that's really not that often. -
ARCHIVED Still Have Chronic Fatigue - Please Help
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yeah I might have to try that - my mom just started juicing a ton recently and she's been pushing that on me -
ARCHIVED Still Have Chronic Fatigue - Please Help
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Appreciate the input but I'm not taking any large doses of fat soluble (or any vitamins for that matter) vitamins. Even my multi only has about %100 of the daily for everything. -
ARCHIVED Still Have Chronic Fatigue - Please Help
Gfresh404 replied to Gfresh404's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Eating doesn't seem to affect this kind of fatigue and all my Vitamins levels were normal when they were checked. I am assuming B1 was one of those. I also did have my Insulin levels checked and they were right on the border of the low side. I try to take a B-Vitamin complex when I can but they all seem to upset my stomach. I am thinking that... -
ARCHIVED Still Have Chronic Fatigue - Please Help
Gfresh404 posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Been gluten-free for almost 4 years - consider myself pretty well educated on celiac disease and NCGS. But I'm close to giving up - I feel like I've tried everything. I have tried and/or still take: a food-based multi-vitamin almost every day digestive enzymes probiotics glutamine sublingual b12 fish oil a supplement call GI Revive which contains... -
ARCHIVED Results Of Stool Analysis - Could Use Some Input
Gfresh404 posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Been gluten-free for almost 4 years. Digestion seems to of improved A LOT with some ND prescribed supplements. But now they major issue is chronic fatigue and a very poor stress response. So I had a stool analysis done and just wanted to get some people's input. Below I have copied and pasted everything in the test that was out of range. From what...
