  1. Supplements always speed up the healing process for me. I have found that when I eat gluten, it seems that it is accompanied by bacterial overgrowth and/or Candida. Try some enteric coated peppermint capsules to reduce bloating and improve digestion. And add, as many herbs and spices as you can like pepper, ginger and cinnamon, just make sure you check labels...
  2. I understand that it tests for antibodies in the stool, but what does it really tell you? I have had neg blood work, neg biopsy, but a positive dietary response. And how reliable are they, how accurate? Do they mean more than a biopsy/blood work? Will the Enterloab test just tell me if I am truly sensitive to gluten? Thanks
  3. Good point. If someone else would be willing, go to Walmart, but a duo pack of salt and black pepper, Walmart Brand name. And see if you have a reaction. If it was not that maybe Momma was right, it was delayed reaction, idk.
  4. That's not me, I know right away when I eat something I should not have. Open Original Shared Link - (3rd post) A lot of companies actually do add wheat or corn starch to spices and sauces, used as thickening agents. You do not have to believe me, as there is no point in arguing, but I am telling you I had a reaction to their black pepper.
  5. I apologize if this information was somewhat redundant.. just trying to spread the word.
  6. I don't think so.. but I suppose anything is possible. I had a bag of frozen bag veggies, with gluten free butter, sea salt, and pepper. I have double checked everything and all are confirmed gluten free except for the black pepper. My guess is that Walmart's new gluten labeling policy was only recently applied within what, the last six months? And I'm guessing...
  7. Ok, at first I thought my gluten intolerance was just Candida since I noticed major improvements when I removed all grains. Since supposedly this is what Candida feeds off of. Then I obviously realized it was just gluten. In my experience there has to be some link between Candida and Celiac Disease as recent research has shown that Candida could possibly...
  8. Nothing it just says black pepper.. might just be a CC issue.
  9. Just be careful, I am fairly certain I had a gluten reaction to their black pepper that came in a duo combo with salt. I thought Walmart was one of the "good" companies..
  10. I actually get that too. I know it is not a gluten reaction though as I have Crest toothpaste and it is said to be gluten free.
  11. I think I know why we get these cravings. It almost always happens to me after I accidentally consume gluten. Once that happens it forms a barrier around the small intestine and our absorption of nutrients is greatly decreased. So no matter how much we eat it does not really matter since we are not absorbing the majority of the calories/nutrients anyway....
  12. The nuts are not advertised as gluten-free but I believe the crackers and almond milk are. Just make sure you read the ingredients on the nuts though, there are a couple of flavors that do contain wheat. Here is the email I received: Good Morning Geoff - Thank you for contacting Blue Diamond Growers. All of our gluten-free products are produced...
  13. Depends on amount of gluten consumed. The more I eat, the faster symptoms appear and vice versa.
  14. Sorry if this is old news, but I just found out that all of their gluten free products are made on dedicated lines! So there is no risk of CC! I'm so excited since I have seem to be having reactions to some other brands of nuts. Just wanted to spread the word.
  15. hmm... that does seem to be a pretty healthy diet. My guess it that it's the dairy. Avoid that for a couple of weeks and see if you notice a difference. I would always get increased heartbeat/heart palpitations when I ate dairy, don't know if it was the casein or lactose intolerance. Also, take it easy on fats for a little while, your body has to work...
  16. Whenever I accidentally get "gluttened," I find that supplements help greatly speeding up the healing process. I would recommend a good multivitamin with a lot of B vitamins, flax seed oil, probiotics, one in particular called Threelac works miracles for me, although it is rather expensive and does not have the same results for everyone, I would do some further...
  17. It has to be in one of the last four listed ingredients.
  18. I'm not quite sure why it bothers me so much, I think it is because it is so highly processed. Some consumers are wary of cottonseed oil because cotton crops are one of the most chemically-intensive crops grown in the U.S. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency‎ regulates pesticide content of cottonseed oil and in 1995, at the request of Hoechst-R...
  19. I was just wondering, what happens to you guys when you accidentally consume gluten? I know for me, I get bloated, irritable, and have very loose BMs usually an hour or two after accidental consumption. I tested negative for celiac, had biopsy and blood tests. So it took a while for me to figure out that gluten was the problem. Now I'm just trying to...
  20. I was going through the exact same thing and I think I know exactly what you're talking about. It used to happen to me all the time, to the point where I could not do anything. Try removing all dairy from your diet for at least one week. See if you notice a difference. It might just be a coincidence that you felt like crap after eating pizza (cheese)...
  21. I had almost the exact same symptoms. It started off as gastritis and then realized something in milk was bothering (not lactose) me. Now gluten and dairy free and feeling so much better. But I did test negative for both the blood test and the biopsy, so I'm going to get retested. But I do believe that it takes a while for the villi to heal, I've heard...
  22. It began after eating a big meal, I mean a big big meal, at least for me and then I had a bout of gastritis and I took some anti-nausea med, but never any anti biotics.
  23. I don't remember starting the gluten-free diet until well after the biopsy but I do remember that during the blood tests I was barely eating. I do believe they tested total IgA but I will double check on that.
  24. At my first year at college I got really sick to the point where I lost 35 pounds (I was already pretty skinny) and could not eat. I had all these tests run and everything came back normal. I even had the tTG test and a small duodenal biopsy: both of which came back negative. So I started messing around with my diet and removed milk, noticed have my symptoms...
