  1. That is great that your TSH improved -- you are not moving towards Hyper -- close to "1" is recommended as the best TSH. Not sure about B12 -- just know it is good that it isn't low. Bone scan is a great idea -- my celiac doc ordered for me when freshly diagnosed...haven't had a follow up, but can tell you after nearly four years gluten-free -...
  2. Completely understandable...those doctor visits where they want to keep watching are very stressful. You know what to do and will. If you have any lingering angst...this is the place to hash it out
  3. Piano Man -- Billy Joel
  4. In My Life -- The Beatles
  5. Wow...very close to my blood at dx -- I had a few more borderline lows, but in general about the same. The good news when I compare yours to mine is your liver has great numbers. It is common for us to have elevated liver enzymes as the body is working overtime trying to clean things out. Good Thyroid numbers -- did they run Free T3 or Thyroid Antibodies...
  6. Welcome Peter! I'd say hope for months and prepare for it to take longer. Many people feel much better within six months of diagnosis and removing gluten. Make suure you read the "Newbie 101" thread and let us know if you have any questions. Transition can be very tough, but the rewards are great. Hang iin there
  7. Sing a Song -- Earth, Wind and Fire
  8. Jane -- Jefferson Starship
  9. Ran outta steam from a good day hiking. Pizza delayed until tomorrow. Hubby chopping and dicing away while I enjoy my glass of zin and catch up with the news of the day. He has his choice of shrimp, ground beef or ny steaks...hmmm I wonder which he will choose? Steak with something yummy ahead
  10. Three Times a Lady -- Commodores Had this one on 8track hmmm --- 8 track or 8 tract -- neither look right to me
  11. I've had this exact conversation with myself - hubby has too and he doesn't have celi brain fog to blame
  12. I've used regular white rice flour in similar circumstance -- worked fine.
  13. even "normal" results can be helpful to have. for instance I was on the border of deficient in every nutrient that I tested in the "normal" range for decades -- now that we have figured most of my puzzle out and I am absorbing nutrients -- all the low or low end of normal results are in the high normal ranges
  14. Thanks for the update -- hold pattern is always tough -- but as you say you are still moving forward which is good. Hang in there
  15. Oh...tonight I'm stealing Alex's idea -- was going to make pizza for the other son yesterday as a Valintine, but ran out of time -- hadn't thought of making heartshaped ones, so toight we'll have heartshaped personal pizzas for everyone - except me
  16. Left my electronics shut down last night... Dinner was: Steak - everyone's favorite Baked Mac and Cheese - one son's favorite Cauliflower "Fried Rice" - my favorite when hubby makes for me -- which he did and added halved baby brussel sprouts -- YUM! Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting for extended family. I licked my...
  17. Oh wow...Branson and Edith -- that would be a good way to go. I think the poor dear is headed for an ilicit affair with her editor -- will they let her find a "proper" love?
  18. Thanks for the update! It is unfortuanate when removing gluten alone doesn't heal us - beyond frustrating. Good luck finding all the pieces of her puzzle
  19. Last year I purchased a special cake pan on the clearance shelf -- it creates a heat shaped hole to fill so that when sliced it creates an edible Valentine. Followed their suggestion for the filling even though I knew it could not possibly firm up -- yesterday was busy so I made the cake early in the morning and left it in the frig to firm up.... http...
  20. For Goodness Sake.... If anyone is seeing the nonsense that our friendly news vultures are putting out regarding the blaze that ended Dorner....Angeles Oaks which is where the cabin that burned is located is NO WHERE near the town/of Big Bear or major population. It is about 45 minutes down a mountain road -- a few cabins - maybe two campgrounds and a...
  21. Oh goodness...poor baby and mama...I know it is tough but do try to distract - it has been a couple years since the other procedure -- for kids that can be enough to forget somewhat. You will likely not sleep much up until the procedure, but try. Is there something you do for yourself to relax -- exercise, hot bath, etc. Do that - even if you have...
  22. I am a very lucky girl. My honey has stood by my side...carried me when I could not walk and tonight brought me too many roses to count....he has never been big on floral displays in the past - yep he made me cry.
  23. Mo- Yep .... the bad days that follow the good ones are the toughest for me too - esp when u can't figure out what got u. Hang in there! Karen-
  24. Everyone is different. Probiotics and digestive enzymes can help -- sometimes removing other foods. I sure wish we could all plant a patience tree -- I could have used it's fruit these past years....time finally taught me patience -- hoping you don't have to wait long as long as I did for healing to begin. Hang in there
