  6. hmmm...no answer for you other than it is highly likely and very probable that the blood came from the fissure.
  7. ah...it can take a very long time for the gut to equalize from celiac damage -- I'm four years and still working on it -- took all types of probiotics for first three...stopped supplementing all together last summer -- not suggesting this, but removing supplements seems to have helped my gut begin to heal from what looked, walked and talked like SIBO. ...
  8. Hi Jason. Sorry, I am confused. What is your question? It seems the fissure is the most likely cause of the blood cells detected.
  9. Hi Troy! On the Marsh Scale -- the first two stages are not specific to celiac disease, but if they are present with symptoms -- well, you do the math. The reason I brought up both written path report and blood tests run is....often the diagnosis of Celiac Disease is NOT simple. Many of us have to use all tests available before our docs even suggest...
  10. Welcome Dnwestover! Did you receive a written pathology report in addition to the endoscopy report from the doctor? It may provide important info. I'm jumping in here without reading if you posted other stats -- blood tests etc. Did you have all celiac antibody blood tests: Total Serum IgA tTG - IgA and IgG DGP - IgA and IgG EMA AGA ...
  11. Well that was the best day post glutening ever -- yet still sucked. Just installed myself in my comfy chair -- feet elevated -- ice on various parts and ready to start barking orders at my men as they pass thru the room -- teasing -- mostly -- I will have them fetch me fresh ice, tea and water Good thing I spoiled (bribed) them with sweet treats all...

  17. I second what nicole said...if you are unsure which tests are which - feel free to post everything written on your results and we can help interpret them. Good luck to you
  18. Welcome Laurie! The answer is we are all different and recovering from illness or accidental glutenings vary greatly. Are you sure you had the flu and did not accidentally ingest gluten? I ask because I had many flu bugs over the years - most never had a fever with them - turns out it was celiac, not the flu. Hope you are feeling much better soon...
  19. For me getting glutened is now more a humbling experience than past glutenings - I used to get more upset at myself and angry at gluten - yesterday when it happened I went home threw on jammies and accepted it was going to be a rotten night. My family has jokingly called gluten kryptonite for years - now that I am relatively healthful - I must say it is...
  20. Sorry Addie - me too today Have no idea what happened other than cleaning my folks house - I always wash well after spending time there and never eat over there, but here I sit with obvious gluten symptoms. Nettle tea, lots of water and a bowl of spag squah is it for tonight - crappy end to a day that started of great! Hope everyone is much improved...
  21. Cheesburger in Paradise -- Jimmy Buffett
  22. In severe cases it can take some time -- I gave up histamines in late November -- still can't tolerate any histamine containing or histamine inducing foods. I can however tolerate moderate exercise in a bit warmer temps than ever before
  23. So - it is cold many places - flu bugs flying willy nilly and a good cheesebread recipe - hold the double oil! Road trip needed! Life has gotten in the way of me snapping pics of candidates but I have spied them everywhere I walk and run! Yes these joints haven't handled the impact of running in over 20 years! Dinner was almonds and dried pears in the...
  24. Bone scan -- usually folks don't get one until later -- my celiac doc recommended and it wasn't pretty -- I was 43 and had the bone density of a 80-90 year old -- good news is bone replaces itself completely in about 5 years -- looks like mine is -- am planning to repeat scan at about 6 years gluten-free -- should have the bones of a 20 year old by then
