  1. parmesan -- yum -- used to do this....lost it somewhere along the way...too late for tonight's but next time -- thanks for the reminder
  2. I have environmental allergies, Celiac Disease and am severely intolerant of many foods and other environmental factors - to the point of anaphylaxis. The house is 99% gluten-free....my hubby carefully uses gluten-filled flour tortillas and hot dog buns occasionally -- oh and there are two sauces that have gluten in my frig -- those of us with celiac...
  3. Don't know how others make them...but I do it kinda like meatloaf -- ground beef, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, oregano, egg and bread crumbs...then roll into 1" balls and fry OR tonight I'm doing humongous meat balls...3" balls that I bake most of the way thru then finish them off in the fry pan just before serving.
  4. I make one almost like that with ground almonds instead of walnuts...yum.
  5. Oink...oink...I'm there too -- but did get my beloved 'silver shadow' back on the road this morning -- been riding hubs hybrid for awhile now as my shoulders and wrists were not happy with my race bike -- and....wait for it...my problematic left shoulder is happy -- well not happy, but not in pain which with my fuzzy math today is the same thing No resting...
  6. I may be the healthiest version of myself in over a decade -- but I AM OLD!!!! Three and Five year old hit the road this morning and we all took a collective sigh of relief!!!! Dinner tonight will be EZ -- perhaps spaghetti with meatballs and a salad.
  7. Oh sorry to hear about your surgery....heal quick...your meal sounds safe and delicious to start things off nicely! Welcome home
  8. Thanks....I knew I'd forget...I did buy beautiful peaches on Friday....this must be why. Graduation was awesome! Beautiful day with plenty of family and friends to help celibrate. I am indeed resting a bit today....cuddling with the kidlets now....they are watching one episode of curious George .... then we read more books and a round of CandyLand...
  9. I generally like road courses...but today I think a nap sounds much nice -- I'm in zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  10. We got gypped outta the Super Moon -- we have a thick marine layer at night that clears about 10am each morning -- commonly referred to as "June Gloom" -- so I set my alarm for 430am hoping the view would improve whilst I slept -- no luck...just one bright marine layer Not sure what is for dinner....something easy -- maybe spaghetti and meatballs. Oh...
  11. Welcome Myself!!! I've never had the NP Raspberry -- I don't like my beer fruity -- except for an occasional lime in a Pacifico pre-celiac dx. Oh my...someone needs to produce a gluten-free Mexican Beer!!!
  12. Dinner tonight was creamy garlic cilantro enchiladas, guacamole and salad followed by very vanilla cake,,,, So proud of our latest high school grad!!!! t-i-r-e-d -- but in a very good...had a very full day kinda tired
  13. oh...must try that peach dealio....hmmm...someone remind me please!
  14. Books - need. Addie's lighter scale read - yay. Mushrooms are poking up everywhere - wonder why. Vegies are not necessary every meal - fresh is always better. Grumpy, but house much cleaner than when the day began - tired - thankful. My baby graduates tomorrow - celebrate.
  15. I believe these are the same two tTG antibody tests...if they were total serum they would have much different ranges/results.
  16. Hi Again MMCC! I hadn't seen when you posted these results. Elevated Platlets, TSH, Liver Enzymes and increased lymphocytes are all indicative of Celiac Disease -- they can be caused by things other than Celiac Disease, but together with a positive tTG IgG it certainly points towards celiac disease. I agree with Nicole -- many doctors will not diagnose...
  17. Good Luck at the Docs Cleaning the house for the grad party today and to make it a bit more short people friendly...nothing breakable per se -- just the short ones find all sorts of things I try to stash away -- should put it away properly anyhow and now I have the energy to do so...so I shall. Dinner tonight is BBQ Chicken with three colors of sweet...
  18. True...should have said "that generally involves a doctor" -- if using medical insurance. You can indeed order them directly from the lab -- we have done this to obtain follow up blood work on my sons.
  19. Welcome MMCC! This is not a complete celiac antibody panel. Request that they run a the rest of the panel while you are in for the endoscopy. Total Serum IgA DGP - both IgA and IgG AGA - Older Gliadin tests - but are still run quite often -- the DGP is more important. Also, nutrient testing can help indicated malabsorbtion and let you know...
  20. Luck Be A Lady -- Frank Sinatra
  21. Welcome Michie! No need to ever feel foolish here....you are not alone. If you have not yet...make sure you check out the Newbie 101 thread. We understand the frustration that comes with analyzing each morsel of food...it does get better...I promise. Hang in there
  22. Yep...there is no mild Celiac Disease - only celiac disease folks with minimal damage detected. Welcome to our Family! Take a look around ... check out the Newbie 101 thread and ask any questions you may have.

  24. Some of the symptoms are similar...if you suspect....get tested and that does involve a doctor. You want a full celiac antibody test: Total Serum IgA tTG - both IgA and IgG EMA - IgA DGP - both IgA and IgG Good Luck to you
  25. lol...mean moms ROCK. so I would not allow video games...my boys had travel nitendos, gameboys, etc...for use on the ROAD. For years they cajoled, bribed, asked aunts and uncles..my sis even caved...I sent the game system home with her...they could play these things at their friends or family homes...but not ours....fast forward...I have a budding novelist...
