  1. Good Morning!!! Do you have the new tTG result in a number value with range? Did they run only the tTG during this recent test? I have seen it take some time to get the antibodies all the way back to normal range -- as you mention the most frustrating part is you don't know your starting number for comparison. Given you have been strictly gluten...
  2. So...here we are in June...long before forest fires should impact the South West and we have already lost 19. Pray or send thoughts of safety to see our Firefighters through the summer months before us. Thank you.
  3. Welcome! Just saw your thread...and am too tired to post adequately....for now know...you. are. not. alone...I'll post more tomorrow or one of these nice folks will remind me Hang in there!
  4. So....for the family I use many gluten-free flours as they are only gluten-free. When I cook for me or the hubs is cooking so we can all eat...coconut flour is our only go to...and it works...for thickening and batter endeavors. for light flaky...well I'm stumped...but I do find a almond flour mixed with coconut flour makes a wonderful apple bread...
  5. What are you baking? Different gluten-free mixes can be better/worse for dif applications.

  7. So sorry. Completely understand being active and then not...but crap I hadn't realized that you were relatively symptom free until now -- given your age and exercise level. Do know that you can get everything back...especially since you have been this able for so long....the best thing any body can do is keep strong and obviously you have. Hang in...

  10. If you feel better the past few days...I suggest you leave them out for a month...then trial them for one day...waiting three days before you trial anything else.
  11. For me...I have many intolerances that can result in anaphylaxis -- I always refer to my long list of intolerances rather than allergies. I have been tested many times for allergies...both blood and scratch -- the only true "allergies" I have are environmental.
  12. It depends. If you are having trouble digesting foods high in lectins, then yes. If you tolerate legumes, then eat them -- they are an excellent source of nutrients.
  13. I am saying keep them gluten free and keep a symptom log. If symptoms improve that is another part of diagnosis. Continue to monitor FULL celiac panel (minimally annually), remain gluten-free and IF there is a question down the road -- THEN determine if a gluten challenge is necessary. Current testing leaves a lot to be desired -- it is my hope this will...
  14. This is why it is important to remain on gluten until testing is complete. Once the tests have been run, there is no reason not to remove all gluten and keep a symptom log/diary.
  15. Beautiful!!! how did you attach said picture...I like the little one in the thread to open if someone wishes to see it larger.
  16. Welcome Jan! How long have you had these symptoms? There are numerous symptoms associated with Celiac Disease...here is a list: Open Original Shared Link Celiac Disease is genetic -- your Aunt is enough reason to be tested every 3-5 years -- more often if symptoms arise. Make sure you get a complete Celiac antibody panel: Total Serum...
  17. I believe that those that aren't on for a long while are off living their healthful happy gluten-free lives -- sometimes they come back - sometimes not -- I've taken a few sabbaticals from this site over the years...
  18. ps...make sure you have full celiac antibody panels run at 3mo, 6mo and then annually after that.
  19. In my opinion she should be diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Symptoms plus positive antibody test in someone so young = Celiac Disease -- again, my opinion. All this means is she is creating antibodies to gluten, but does not yet have damage severe enough on the Marsh Scale. here is a link to an explanation of Celiac Typing: https://www.celiac.com...
  20. Elmira and Ithaca are both college towns so likely to have many options...try "findmeglutenfree.com" or here is a good list from a simple search I did: Open Original Shared Link
  21. The Hudson Valley is a fantastic place for gluten-free!!! My family is from outside Kingston and each time we visit we find it very easy to stay there -- the grocery chain there is awesome...oh crap - brain frog -- will add it back as soon as I remember!

I can't really complain as I have always had too much hair...but here is the observation....for decades I was losing huge amounts of hair each time I showered or brushed -- in reading this thread I just realized I am no longer losing hair at this alarming rate -- can't say exactly the cause of this change other then I am finally a bit more healthy -- AI type...
  24. Rest up and feel better IH -- no playing with critters for a few days up there!!! Well last few days have been flare in the PM with the exception of floating in my kiddie pool until 10pm...guess my childhood nickname is back for the summer -- I was dubbed "Dolphin" by one of the best men I knew back in our old hood. They had the neighborhood pool situated...
