  1. I agree about finding a new doctor. when i started getting sick i was 16. my doctor was convinced i had an abusive boyfriend and this was "my cry for help." i explained to him that i didnt even date. i liked to eat and didnt want to stop eating. it took 4 months of arguing about this and he finally showed up one day with a printout of the gluten free diet...

  4. i like the muddy buddies...if you havent tried those yet. also if you can thicken the mixture up, you can crush the rice chex and make them like no-bakes. just drop them on wax paper while they cool. sooo good. i have also made granola bars by breaking them up into pieces and adding gluten-free corn flakes. then add your favorite flavors (mine are pb and...

  6. I am thoroughly disgusted that a company would try to disregard their responsibility in this type of situation. Those two little boys could have DIED. And then there would be a completely different reaction from them. There shouldnt have to be a death for a company to fix a problem. They dont understand how serious an allergy really is. I sincerely hope the...
  7. I just tried this for a fast sandwhich. I used sorghum and doubled the flax since i have no almond meal here. It was very good my husband even liked it! and he certainly isnt gluten free. it was a little dry. would adding water affect the recipe?

I have a chebe cinnamon roll mix here and can't wait to try to make the fruit tarts and see...
  9. If you don't yet have your own business (a "name" for yourself) I would start out pitching your products locally and branching out from there. Like to a wholefoods and places like that. Also not a bad idea would be to make your own website and start ADVERTISING! Spread the word about yourself. Local is the best way to start. You benefit with both saving up...

  12. i use Pamela's baking mix for banana bread and it almost always turns out perfect. i use a pan slightly wider than a traditional loaf pan to make the loaf bake more quickly as it never seemed to bake all the way through before blueberry muffin recipe i found about ten minutes ago.: (i planon giving a test as soon as i have gotten a chance to visit the...
  13. My apologies. On the previous recipe it should be: 1 C peanut butter 1/3 C SUGAR 1 egg 1/2tsp baking soda 1/4 salt 1/2 C choc chips (opt) vanilla can also be added but i typically dont. a small amount is enough 400 degrees 8-12 minutes sorry about the mix up. i was thinking of two different things at once. they are super good and very very...

  18. dinty moore has a couple but i haven't tried them. i stocked shelves in grocery last year so i allllways looked for "gluten free" on stuff. dinty moore's beef stew and a couple others have that on the label
  19. i have a deep hatred for glutino's breakfast bars! they were the first thing i bought on the gluten-free diet. my doctor said go find something small with some good calories because i was down 35 lbs from the sickness. so i went to the local health food store and found those and i thought "oh cool...like a nutrigrain bar!" i took it to my mom's work and opened...
  20. What exactly is an FSA? How do i get one? i have never heard of one before seeing this post. Can you still get tax deductions? If not which would be the best idea??
  21. Did you know you can get tax deductions for having to buy more expensive foods? https://www.celiac.com/categories/Celiac-Di...Deduction-Info/ check it out. I cannot get it yet because my doctor never gave me the test. just diagnosed me, gave me an info packet on the diet and sent me on my way. But definitely check this out if you haven't already.
