  2. hello and welcome to the group I wish you had e-mailed before as my husband & I just spent two months in the great white north!!!! we drove from Pa lower 48 which took us ten days to hit the state of alaska. I would have loved to meet you. where do you live up there? we toured the whole state and its calling us back if we can ever afford to do it...

  5. If you take the pretzel and add a hersey kiss on top of it , pop it in the oven for about 5 minutes , add another pretzel top and push it down a bit they are wonderful.... I like to use the mint choc kiss and they keep forever. Also you can spread on peanut butter and top with another pretzel the dip in choc. Or spread on marshmallow cream add a pretzel...
  6. My son-in -law came up with this for the holidays so I must give him credit ---- and it was really good!!!!! Who would figure a non-celiac plus a son-in-law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He took a loaf of bread we made from Anna's mix and mixed up some different spices that we all like and spread the bread with olive oil and sprinkled the spices on fairly heavy and baked...
  7. Hello pokerprincess, No I don't live in new york. I live near Pittsburgh,Pa. There is nothing near me not even a close celiac group.I have to mailorder just about everything and it gets expensive.....Plus with four of us eating wf/gluten-free I'm about cashed out....... mamaw
  8. I think that is where she is located. does anyone use her food items? the cinnamon rolls (large) are quite pricey---- more than everbody eats from N.Y. Also anyone have any comments on her other breads and so on? I keep trying from different places to try to find the best gluten-free foods. with the grandchildren being celiac I have to keep their interest...

  10. Hi If it doesn't say the directions for bread machine I would not put in a bread machine....... Her regular breads work great in the machine but make sure you follow the recipe for the machine because it is a bit different from the other method. Banana bread is so easy to make I would never make it in a machine... if you haven't tried anna's bread yet...

Sorry I didn't realize anyone else posted about thecorn dogs......My grandkids loved them...I ordered mine from kosher.com as there is no one near me that carries them. the shipping is horrible. I also bought the chicken strips but haven't tried them yet. If anyone knows a market that sells them I would love to know..I paid &6.79 for a box of five but...

  15. I'm not sure if everyone knows about this but s'betterfarms has a new gluten-free corn dog in it's line of gluten-free products. It looks like a real corn dog and sells for about $6.80 for five.The trouble is trying to find a place that sells s'betterfarms products.It's nearly impossible here in western pa...They seem to be on the west coast alot--- I think...
  16. I've be seeing Hoffner's gluten-free foods and was wondering if anyone uses them and how do they measure up? They seem to have a variety of gluten-free, such as: bread crumbs, hamburger rolls , noodles and so on.I' not sure where they are even located..... thanks

  19. Marlene's mixes has a mix for pumpkin roll. I haven't tried it but she has reviews that say it's pretty tasty.I think she is in Texas and does mailorder. I sometimes think it's easier to do mixes rather than try to figure out what and how much of something to change to make it work gluten-free....., maybe I'm just a tad lazy....

  21. I make alot of my old gluten recipes by just changing the flour to Bob's Red Mill or Betty Hagman's 4 flour blend and they have always been perfect, in fact most can't tell the difference. I don't even add the xanthan gum....... happy baking
  22. I don't know of a good donut mix but I can tell you that Celiac Specialities in MIchigan makes a excellent glazed donut. I order quite often and they also have a good mac & cheese plus wonderful cream puffs ( which I heard they are going to stop making at the end of this month) Now, if anyone could find out where to buy nut rolls, I'd be in heeaven...
  23. I've had my Zoj for about a year and I love it. I haven't had any problems baking any gluten free breads. I do think there are some cheaper brands that also work fine also...
  24. sugar cookies 2/3 c. oleo 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla gluten-free 1 egg,beaten 4 tsp. milk 1 1/2 c. flour blend (i use Bette Hagman) 1/2 c. sweet rice flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp xanthan gum preheat oven 375. cream first 3 ingredients in mixer.
