  2. Is there such a thing as gluten-free phyllo dough either to buy or make at home? My daughter asked for cherry turnovers and I can't find a gluten-free dough that I think would work like the flaky phyllo... How's come when we can't have something anymore thats what we crave.....   5. I wish I knew the answer to the false positive thing as I have asked a zillion times to explain that one to me.... Doctors really suck... They just want money . I just try to stay gluten-free. but I was curious if I had the two genes DQ2 & DQ8. I thought maybe I could get ine ins to pay since it was close in my family. I also have to hace the testing...
  6. I didn't like the pecan rice bread either, it was my very first thing gluten-free and my hubby brought it home for me. Let me tell you I could have killed someone with that bread. It was the worst I have ever eaten.For a breakfast bread I like the black china rice bread but it is hard to find--- I know whole foods carries it and I do like it with peanut butter...
  7. yep, my pcp charges for copies but they will send them to another doctor for free...... Next time I go in I'm going to ask if this is his idea because he did get a new front office girl,,, The bell went off maybe she is pocketing the dollar for each copy. Wow, I hate to think that ,in fact that is a horrible thought so I truly hope I'm wrong about that...

  9. I had the bloodwork done and it came back false positive. Since the pcp doesn't give copies unless you pay a fee : I don't have the bloodwork . I know how much better I feel not eating wheat & gluten. I just wanted to know about the markers I may or may not have... thanks mamaw

  12. i'm sure this has been talked about before but I finally got my pcp to let me have the genetic testing, but he told me I would have to find out exactly what markers I wanted tested for.   14. My two grandchildren had the bloodwork done then the four year old had the endo and the colonoscope done. It ended up with one intolerant and the four year old full blown celiac's....   17. I usually pick up the individual packets when I'm at a place that also has carry out.I just ask to buy ten or so and they tell me to help myself. You can order salad dressing Packets from Mc Donalds so I buy them there so when I go someplace that I'm not sure of I have my own salad pkt with me.   19. I too used to love to bake and actually sold to the public....... I have found no challenge quite as difficult as gluten-free foods. It does take alot of getting used to but I have found through time I don't eat as much bakery stuff as I used to and when I do it's much more smaller amounts. Of course that's a good thing..   23. You can order S'Better Farms at Kosher.com---- I already bought the corn dogs, chicken strips, and I think the wings . My grandkids liked everything. Kosher.com had the best price and best shipping prices I could find... It wasn't cheap tho......... They came pretty fast and was frozen when the pkg.arrived.... My grankids do not care for the Ian's brand...
  24. There are several post regarding NAET> I have used it for many years. If your not into alternative therapy you probably will not heap any benefits from NAET. The more up to date method is called BIO-_SET and is done with a computer and is more reliable. I have used both and in fact still use Bio-set every month or so. It has helped me with many intolerances...
