  1. Yes I used to itch like a dog with fleas on my arms and back of neck!!!!!!!!!! It would just happen and I couldn't put a certain food or soap to blame it on . I used to take atarax for it as benedryl didn't help me. I now think it was a combo of many things. I don't get itchy since I changed to gluten-free and also I only bathe in Miracle II . I love this...
  2. Just wondering if this is a celiac thing or just a fluke. My thumb get very tight, numb feeling, and sorta feels hard and sore, like a piece of leather (palm side) , then after awhile it turns black & blue , softens up like normal. Does anyone know what causes this to happen or if it's a celiac thing? My mother and sister used to get these alot and now...
  3. Wow I feel like a miracle has just happened for me.I was denied by my health ins. and I fought back and I won. I'm in shock .... 6. I agree, this cake is good, and simple to make without having to buy out the store to make it. I used it for strawbeery shortcake and it was a hit with celiac's and non-celiacs.I think this would also work for a fruit torte too....yum yum.... CheriA's chicken nuggets and this cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I died and went to gluten-free heaven.........
  7. That is the only thing I eat from Costco's food court. I think for me it's so big and way to much chocolate. I love ice cream but it doesn't set well with me anymore. I don't know why that is but I was told that there is no gluten in the bar.It could be a dairy issue. I don't feel bad if I only eat a half of one. I guess maybe its the size. It's like you...
  8. Camping world sells freezers for traveling that run off of a cigarette lighter. They come in three different sizes. I think the one we have is a norcold. We have a 35 ft fifthwheel that we took to Alaska and I needed the extra freezzer for gluten-free stuff. It works great and I now use it when I make my quarterly trip to stock up on gluten-free foods. I...
  9. Hi Ursula Yes the doc flat out told me I have way high levels of vit D in my system. I challenged him to figure out why and how I got this way. I'm fair skinned and in my younger years redheaded with freckles. I don't spend a great deal of time in the hot weather between noon and three so I again challenged him to find out how this could be. I always thought...

  13. I own and love the ZO! The only thing is to make sure its heavy duty (motor) as some things are pretty heavy. But I think most of the ones now will do the job. The Zo has two paddles so it mixes well.It is alot of doe when you can spend way less $ but I still love it and I think it will withstand years of use.... Some like the Breadmaker 2. best of...
  14. For me It's all the BIG C all the time. At first I had lost a load of weigh from the BIG D but for the last year it has been nothing but Mr. C totally.I have even thought about eating gluten to see if it would give mr.d!!!!! After I considered that thought I changed my mind ....... I really think the site should be given an award for frank open discussions...
  15. CeriA and all others SPINACH PIZZA I also sometimes put real bacon bits on top of the spinach . I know others who put cooked burger on it but I like the bacon bits better . Of course the vegan would not use any.... Just another idea. mamaw
  16. Here's a different idea for pizza> 1 gluten-free crust 1 can gluten-free mushroom soup (if thin it may need a tad of thickener added) 1 box frozen spinach ( chopped & drained very well)I squeese mine by hand garlic powder to your liking. spread the mushroom soup on the crust, put spinach on top of mushroom soup then sprinle with garlic...
  17. We grow our own potatoes but when Ineed to buy them I buy a fifty pound bag. I keep it in a cool, dark stop away from sunlight. They keep fairly well but I know sometimes when you buy them they all look green when you get them home. For spuds that begin to sprout all you need to do is take off the sprout and continue doing that the potato will stay or last...
  18. Fiddle-Faddle I have two of those in my freezer! Thet are very good. I think you can get them at either Sunnybridge or Whole foods. I can't remember where I purchased them at but they might be cheaper than at Ikea. I also bought a choc.decent dessert at Trader Joe's in Ohio when I was there. I'm not a choc. person but it looked so good...I will get the...

  20. Thanks for all the support. I haven't changed anything except for the dam thyroid pill. I was doing wonderful for almost a year on the cytomel. I know I should be happy that I'm only a handful that the thyroid started working but for me its up & down. I feel like I'm on a ferris wheel. I'm tired , b%$@#y, sad, no patience and whatever other thing you...
  21. Has anyone found out what that little white pill is that the naturpath people give? I know we hashed this out before but I need the little white pill!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm having terrible brain fog and I just am not remembering anything and I get mixed up in my words and thoughts. It's scary to be that this. They took me off my thyroid meds as rare as it may...
  22. I did buy a box of the plain casaba crackers and wasn't to impressed. In another section someone said they used them to make thin mint cookies. I couldn't remember what they reminded me of but melba toast is it. Thanks for reminding me as it's been so long I forgot.. They do have a few flavored ones but the store only carried the plain ones... For crackers...
  23. I posted that awhile back but I use the BiAglut crackers with the scalloped edge. I just bought a pkg of the rainforest crackers-- the plain ones. Different!!!! Do you use the flavored ones also and are they better tasting than the plain ones? Of course I realize you use the plain for for the thin mint cookies. The plain ones reminded me of eating cardboard...
  24. Am I the only one with to much vit D? The doc told me not to take extra vit D or go out to much. I told him I only get my Vit d in my multi vit & min. He didn't make a big deal or ? but I still to this day wonder how come I have to much Vit D. I wish doctors would learn to put info pieces together instead of just fluffing bits off here and there. Of...
  25. Just wanted to let all know that I came across these cookies at a Wegman's Grocery . I bought the Lemon & vanilla ones and they were a hit! Soft and light as air with a very good taste.
