  1. I need to reset my password once logged in with my temporary one emailed to me. Where do I go to type in a new password? Help section says go to user CP, but I dont see a User CP just options for profile, about me etc and friends managing topic/forums.
  2. Hi. Welcome to the boards. Make sure your supps are gluten free. I take Metagenics Ultra flora Plus DF, Sublingual 12 (B12), Pure Encapsulatins Vitamin D and fish oil. I too had severe pancreas issues. They have since subsided with the whole foods diet and the supps.
  3. I sent you an email Deb.

  5. My experience is after i was diagnosed, I called 5 dieticians. Didnt work with one of them. Started my search again 7 months later and found a competent nutritionist who has celiac also. It s a blessing. My entire being has changed, feel great, better than when i was going Gluten-Free on my own. Mistake. I think the key is to fins a NUTRITIONIST rather than...
  6. Yep, IBS diagnoses. Culprit is gluten. No IBS.
  7. I eat them daily, no problems.
  8. Hi again, I replied to your personal message. To add to the post above, I agree about the diabetes/insulin/pancreas connection. To add my own experience that has irritated people on this board, who disagree with my statements, however: it is critical to work with a nutritionist who knows about celiac, ESPECIALLY if you pancreatic pain/attacks. I have found...
  9. Its from experience gf_soph. Good bye celiac boards....onto better heath.
  10. You are so wrong. Sorry. Treatment is not the same. So, just because you studied nutrition does not qualify you. Sorry, do not reply to this. I hope this thread gets deleted. It is wrong to do this on your own from the start. Just because you made a diff choice dos not mean people with celiac disease do not need a nutritionist.
  11. I did not read the entire post, stopped at GP read research about tetracycline... blah blah. Dont be her test rat. Get a competent clinical nutritionist who works with celiac disease. I didnt read the responses you got either, hop we all agree.
  12. Yes its called nutritional supplements, not just eating gluten-free read my post under the topic : Post recovery, treatment....however that one is worded. My topic i started is called ADVICE.
  13. Hi. I shopped around last fall, called 5 nutritionist/dieticians. Now 2 were to busy and could not take on new clients. Another did not want to take me on because i did not have the "standard intestinal biopsy" done. And the other 2, well, i asked them both the same questions and i got different contradictory answers, so I had no idea what I would be getting...
  14. Just wanted to share my thoughts. To be brief, i want to strongly advise those of you going this alone to reconsider and find a "clinical nutritionist". I am now working with a clinical nutritionist. Grateful to be doing do. There is alot of info not out there that we need to know. If you have pancreatitis also, get a nutritionist is a must. I am done with...
  15. That pain seems familiar to me. Look into acute pancreatitis. I had the pains as you describe whne my gluten issues were severe and un diagnosed. My pancreatic enzymes were tetsted after the pain and 1 of them was slightly abnormal which i learned years later is an indication of celiac disease. I do have flare ups of that pain but my extremities did not feel...
  16. Glad its not all in my head. I never ate a tube of lays Stax chipsin 1 siting before or half a bag of regular Lays chips. I agree, it is likely dehydration. I drink way to much coffee and hot teas every day. Even pre gluten-free diet with the coffee drinking and tea, i never craved salt. Now I do.
  17. Just wondering how many of you crave salt when you are gluten-free. I never craved salt in the BAD days.
  18. I spent alot of time putting together lists of things that are Gluten-Free. One of the items was Mrs Butterworths original syrup. I bought it. I ate it. I got sick. I gave it away. I immediately googled "Mrs Butterworths syrup gluten free" and everything that came up said Not Gluten-Free, but its on the list I found. This isnt the first time I have eaten...
  19. I live on them everyday. They are my breakfast with my coffee. Never been sick from a RPBC! Gotta love them.
  20. I have been eating the chex and have not been sick. Sorry to see you have been sick. Usually if I eat gluten-free after eating gluten product I will have symptoms...even days later and think it was the gluten-free food. Sometimes it taes days for the G toxin to exit our system. Stay gluten-free for awhile then try the gluten-free chex again. Just my opinion...
  21. I have been eating chex gluten-free cereal, cinnamon and chocolate, all this week and I have been fine.
  22. I have been eating gluten foods for the last week or 2. I enjoyed them...but got the consequences for eating them : migraine, irritability, brian fog, aches and pains, stomache issues, fatigue. Now, I have this rash in my left armpit, incredibly itchy, very red. Is this the Dermatitis herpetiformis? I never read of it being located in the pits. I am itchy...
  23. I am itchy all over, but thats the only place where I am...
  24. In Pittsburgh. My best friend lives out your way in canonsburg. I amm not having much luck with restaurants. If I ask for gluten fre menu and order from it, they screw it up. If I go out from now on, it will be a salad and veggies.
  25. Teeth need pulled. Concern about gluten in the products but the level of pain i have i am not sure i should give a care. He gave me antibiotic tonight (gluten free) i checked. I got glutened somewhere. Either dentist with the cleaning and swallowed some, I did, bad gag reflex. or the gluten free dinner at olive garden i had once before with no issues wasnt...
