well, I know what you mean about the bread. I learned to make gluten free crackers and I put either hummus or margerine on them.Corn tortillas also work. The best thing I have done tho is switch to the mediterranean diet. For the most part it is mainly gluten free. You're not crazy. If the chicken is breaded it is glutened and WILL make you sick. If you are Celiac you CANNOT eat gluten in any form. Holy Crap, The first thing you have to do is start bringing your own lunches to work. You glutened yourself from your lunch. Unless you can absolutely guarantee that your food has suffered no cross contamination I'd bring my own lunch. To answer your question , NO there isn't. You just have to stick to the gluten-free diet -

Yup, don't give up. But forget the prepackaged stuff like the amy's sheppards pie. The only safe prepackaged products I have found out there are GLUTINO. they are definately gluten free. Keep a diary tho, I have found that is a huge help. Also I live by a very simple motto"WHEN IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT OUT". There's a couple of receipe site's out there as well... -

yes and no, most of the store bought stuff is crap. i am constantly nibbling on various things, dry peperoni, yogurt, gluten-free crackers, the secret i've found is lots of small meals. If u werea big eater before u need to change ur way of thinking. Plus i found that big meals leave nme bloated. Try and make most of ur meals yourself. best of luck Mike... -

hey nancy, i see you like ppl who are direct and to the point. I was diagnosed in April of this yr after being very ill since the spring of 2008. I made the switch to the gluten free diet and have regained my health.I still have a long way to go but am no longer puking my brains out on a daily basis. good luck -

hi, i went down before i rebounded as well. i was diagnosed in april of this year and went through the worst summer of my life. at my low point i was only 130 lbs(i'm 6'5"). Hey there, don't give up it is quite q transition. There are tons of receipes and websites out there. One suggestion I have for you about lasagna tho. Don't precook the noodles, it works WAY better if you put them in dry and add a little water with your sauce. you are not alone. It took a year before I got a proper diagnosis. I have been Gluten free since April of this year. I have a very serious case of celiac disease and even though I have been gluten-free I still have symptoms. Stick w2ith it things w2ill get better

I used soya milk with my cereal and i cook with cow milk,cheese isn't too bad for me so I use quite a bit of it.
